Curiosity blazed in Ada when Matt strode away, his cheerful whistle trailing in his wake. His eyes gleamed, and his body had bopped in constant motion. Excited to see his friends—that was clear. She exchanged her bucket for an empty one and continued picking. At least thoughts of Matt had driven her problems to the back of her mind. Masculine laughter floated to her and sounds of greeting.
