Daughter of Diamonds

Scene 1: Arctic Silence Five Years Later | 70° North Latitude The ice groaned like a dying god beneath the research station. Inside, Elara Moretti (5) pressed tiny palms to reinforced glass, watching auroras bleed green across the tundra. Her eyes storm-gray, flecked with diamond-bright shards reflected the frozen wasteland. Agent Rossi adjusted the child’s monitoring collar. "Beautiful, isn’t it? Your art will change the world, sweetheart." Elara didn’t flinch. She’d painted this moment weeks ago: Rossi’s hand on her neck, a red light blinking on the collar’s kill-switch. Scene 2: The Resurrection Dream Elara’s nightmare tore through the station’s security feeds: A surgical theater. Carson’s ghost peeling Elara’s skin like canvas. Rossi smiling: "Don’t scream, darling. Uncle Carson needs a new suit." Alarms blared. Dr. Chenscrambled to contain the psychic feedback ice cracked across the lab’s walls. "Her neural output is off the charts! She’s manifesting *physical matter! " Rossi stormed in, grabbing Elara’s jaw. "Control it, girl. Or I’ll sedate you into a coma." Elara touched his wrist. Diamond-frost spread up his arm. "You’ll be dead before sunrise," she whispered. Scene 3: The Assassin’s Return Jason crash-landed a stolen snowcat into the station’s hangar. Staria leapt out, hair wild, eyes scanning for Elara. Five years as fugitives had honed them into blades Jason’s coat hid enough weapons to storm a fortress, Staria’s paintbrushes were now lockpicks and syringes. They found Elara’s mural in a service tunnel: Jason fighting Rossi on a glacier. Staria stabbed with an icicle. Elara floating in a diamond cocoon.* Beneath it, a child’s scrawl: "DADDY SHOOTS LEFT. MOMMY CRIES RED." Staria traced the prophecy. "She’s telling us how to win." Scene 4: Skin and Ice Rossi dragged Elara to the Cryo-Transfer Chamber. Carson’s diamond shard pulsed in a machine above a surgical pod. "Initiate Project Lazarus," Rossi ordered. "But sir,"* Dr. Chen protested, *"the subject’s biomass is insufficient" "Use both," Rossi nodded at Staria bursting through the door. "Mother and child." Staria lunged for Elara Laser grids ignited, slicing her forearm. Blood crystallized into rubies on impact. "MOMMY!" Elara’s scream shattered the chamber’s glass. Scene 5: Ghost in the Machine Carson’s hologram materialized, frost forming his limbs. "Hello, Jason. Miss me?" He stroked Elara’s hair. "She’s perfect. A living canvas." Jason fired. The bullet passed through Carson, hitting the diamond shard. The shard bled. "Fool," Carson laughed. "My prison is her blood now. Shatter the diamond… you shatter her." Elara convulsed, diamond shards piercing her skin like needles. Staria pressed her bleeding arm to the machine. "You want a body, Carson?" She slammed her palm on the DNA scanner. "TAKE MINE." Cliffhanger: The Transfer The machine roared to life. - Staria’s veins lit with diamond-light. - Elara collapsed, shards retracting. - Carson’s spirit funneled into Staria’s body. Her head snapped up. Carson’s smirk twisted Staria’s face. "Better than new," he purred with her voice. Jason froze, gun aimed at his wife’s head. Elara sobbed, reaching for him: "Daddy… the painting was wrong. Mommy doesn’t cry red..." Staria-Carson lifted a diamond knife. "...SHE BLEEDS IT."
