It’s beginning to get dark out and the people are already enjoying their time eating and chatting in the field. I’d never seen such a thing like it before.. Father never allowed anything like this at home. He couldn’t care less about festivities with the townspeople or anything like it.
“Ah, there you are, dear. The King has summoned you.” Beatrice said. She pointed at the King standing on a balcony who I hadn’t even noticed was looking directly at me.
“I will have Loren show you the way.” She said with a smile. Loren took my arm and we began walking to the castle.
“You’ve done a fine job today, miss.” He said.
