Chapter 11

872 Words
The next morning, I woke up sore and aching between my thighs. Every movement reminded me of what happened last night, the passionate intimacy between Gabriel and me. I looked to the side; Gabriel was still asleep, his face softer, far from the Alpha's usual stern and intimidating expression. Carefully, I stepped down from the bed, trying not to wake him. Every step reminded me of the previous night's intensity. I walked to the bathroom, turned on the light, and stood facing the large mirror above the sink. The face I saw in the mirror was still mine, but something was different. My eyes seemed brighter, my skin seemed to glow with a light that wasn't there before. I opened my pajamas, examining every inch of my body, looking for signs of change. The marks of Gabriel's kisses and gentle bites were still visible on my skin, proving that last night was not just a dream. "Does this mean I'm your Luna now?" My heart beat fast. As a human raised in the werewolf world, I knew becoming a Luna wasn't just about physical intimacy. But a part of me hoped that perhaps, through the intimacy we shared, something had changed. I quickly splashed water on my face, trying to calm myself. After putting on the same pajamas, I returned to the room. Gabriel was still asleep, his usually tense face now looked peaceful. Carefully, I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers reaching out to touch his cheek. The moment my skin touched his, his eyes opened instantly. Unlike most people who need time to become fully conscious, Gabriel was immediately alert, an inherent Alpha trait. But when he saw it was me, the stiffness in his face melted away. He gently grabbed my wrist, pulling my body closer. "Good morning," he murmured, his voice hoarse from sleep. Before I could answer, he was already kissing my lips. His hand grabbed my hair, holding me in that kiss until I was breathless. "Gabriel," I whispered, breaking the kiss. "After last night, am I your Luna now?" He was silent for a moment, his eyes probing. Then he sat up in bed, his tall body still half-naked. "You are not my Luna yet." A sharp disappointment pierced my chest. "But we..." "Intimacy with an Alpha does not make you his Luna. Becoming a Luna is a bond far deeper than mere physical relations," he said while stroking my cheek. He stood and walked to the window, pulling the curtains wide open. The morning light hit his muscular body, revealing the scars and tattoos that told the story of his struggles as an Alpha. "To become a Luna, a woman must receive the bite from her Alpha under specific conditions, when both parties are fully conscious and accept the bond, and when the Alpha officially acknowledges her as his lifelong mate." I nodded slowly, digesting every word. All this time, I only knew about the Luna's bite as something sacred, but never understood the details. "That bite doesn't just leave a physical mark, it also creates a soul bond. You will be able to feel my emotions, know my location, even communicate through thoughts over a certain distance," he said. Sitting beside me, he took my hand. "The process is also intense. It's not just physical, but a merging of our spiritual energies. You will feel every part of me, my memories, my pain, my joy, all of it, and I will feel yours too." He lifted my hand, pressing gently on my wrist where my pulse beat. "After the bite, we will be connected forever. Nothing can sever that bond, not even death. In some cases, a Luna can even feel her Alpha's pain, or vice versa." I looked at him, beginning to understand how deep and permanent that bond was. "So last night..." "Last night was about desire and need. About two consenting adults who wanted each other." "But I want it. I want to be your Luna." "You are still very young. The world is harsh and dangerous. As a Luna, you wouldn't just be my wife, but a leader of the pack alongside me. You would be responsible for many lives," Gabriel said. "I understand," I said, though in truth I didn't fully grasp the weight of that responsibility. "No, you don't. Not yet. But one day, if you still want this, if you still choose me even after knowing all the risks..." He didn't finish the sentence, but I knew what he meant. "We must be careful. No one can know about our relationship until we decide on the next steps," he said. He was almost finished dressing when he suddenly stopped and looked at me. "Are you sure this is what you want? Because once we start down this path, it won't be easy to turn back." I stood and walked towards him, ignoring the soreness in my body. "I've been sure for a long time. Since the first time I realized my feelings for you were no longer those of a child for a guardian," I said. His hand grabbed the nape of my neck, pulling me into a kiss that was utterly wild.
