"Our pack is deeply connected to nature. Nature provides peace and keeps us away from the chaos of the outside world," Kyra explained to her as to why they had sequestered themselves from the world. The tribe was living in the middle of the forest, away from civilization. Sabrina, who always had lived a luxurious life, found her surroundings intriguing.
Kyra took her inside a small hut. I made all the huts here of mud. There was a small bed, a pitcher, and a chair in the hut.
Kyra felt a little embarrassed.
"I know this is not much for a princess like you but.."
"This is beautiful. Thank you, for letting us stay here, Kyra. We are very grateful," she held her hands and gave her a genuine smile. Kyra returned her smile with her own.
"You are very kind-hearted. I can't wait to have you as our queen," Sabrina smiles faltered. She didn't want to be the alpha queen. She just wanted to be the queen of his heart. The man who had taken the oath of avoiding her stall costs.
"Today is Kafur and my mating anniversary. The tribe has arranged for a celebration tonight. I would be very happy if you could join us," Kyra asked with hopeful eyes. The head of the tribe is called Kafur.
Rina gave her an unsure look.
"People would like to see their alpha queen," Kyra added, egging her on to accept her invitation.
"I would love to join," Sabrina stated. She was excited to see their culture.
"You will not regret it, your grace," Kyra remarked with a grin.
Kyra wasn't done there. She also requested Sabrina to don their clothes for the occasion. Sabrina was unsure but Kyraturned out to be very persuasive. She didn't rest until Sabrina agreed.
"Many wolves are going to die tonight by your beauty," Kyra remarked, finishing outlining her sapphire eyes. Sabrina blushed at her comment.
"You are looking stunningly beautiful, your grace," Kyra's eyes were glowing with admiration as she took in Sabrina's appearance. Sabrina was used to people complimenting her beauty but could never understand how to respond to their compliments. They always left her blushing.
"You are too kind, Kyra," Sabrina smiled at Kyra.
"I am just speaking the truth, princess. I'll be at your service at the celebration. Give me permission to leave so that I could prepare for the gathering,"
"Please, don't be at my service. This is your day, enjoy it. And you have the permission to leave," Sabrina responded softly. Kyra smiled and left.
Sabrina sighed after Kyra walked out of her hut. Her maids were in the hut, on their toes for her any command.
Sabrina rose to her feet and looked into a small mirror, glued to the wall. Sabrina flushed when she noticed how much of her skin was showing. A thin fabric was draped around her chest, squeezing her breasts together. The cloth failed to cover her cleavage. Her thin waist was out in a display. Kyra had made a temporary tribal tattoo around her navel. It was looking beautiful. She was wearing a skirt-like cloth that reached her mid-thigh. Her hair was braided right from their root. She was looking different but in a good way.
She wondered if he would like her in it.
The loud drumming coming from outside interrupted her train of thoughts.
"Looks like the celebration had begun," she told to no one in particular.
"Yes, my lady," one of the maids answered.
The howling of people followed soon.
Rina exhaled her nervousness and uprighted her stance.
"Let's go out," she instructed while striding towards the door.
The sweet aroma of food hit her nose as soon as she stepped out. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. Her mouth watered.
She opened her eyes a moment later and her eyes widened in fascination when she saw people dancing around a large bonfire. A lump of giant meat was being roasted on the bonfire. They were howling and dancing. She noticed women grinding against men and men caressing women's bodies. Their moves were sensual. Tribal people were very open.
Her gaze moved to the assortment of different food that was kept on a giant table. They all looked delicious.
After surveying them, she averted her gaze to where the chief was sitting. A special stage was made for him from where he overlooked the celebration. And beside him was sitting Elijah. Her heart skipped a beat when her gaze landed on him. He, undoubtedly, was the most handsome man she had ever laid her eyes on. He looked delicious. And she wasn't the only one who thought so. Many females were sneaking a glance at him and gushing about his attractive persona.
Oblivious to the dreamy glances he was getting, Elijah was deep in a conversation with the chief.
"Your grace, come dance with us," one of the women walked over to her and offered her hand.
"I don't know how to dance," Sabrina said, unsure.
"Just follow our steps, that's all," the woman stated with a smile. Sabrina swallowed and took her hand.
