chapter 12 the Explanation

Aisha's eyes locked onto Sarah's, her mind racing with questions. She felt like she was trapped in a dream, a dream that was rapidly spiraling out of control.

"What do you mean, you're my sister?" Aisha asked, her voice firm, but with a hint of vulnerability.

Sarah took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving Aisha's. "We were separated at birth," she said, her voice steady. "Our parents, they...they thought it was best for us. But I've always felt like something was missing, like a part of me was gone."

Aisha's mind was reeling. Separated at birth? What kind of parents would do that?

Ethan, sensing Aisha's distress, stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Sarah. "How do we know this is true?" he asked, his voice firm.

Sarah nodded, a small smile on her face. "I have proof," she said, pulling out a folder from her jacket pocket. "I have documents, photos...everything."

Aisha's eyes narrowed as she took the folder, her fingers trembling as she opened it. Inside, she found a birth certificate, with her name and Sarah's name on it. There were photos of two young girls, identical twins, laughing and playing together.

Aisha's eyes welled up with tears as she stared at the photos. She felt like she was looking into a mirror, a mirror that showed her a past she never knew existed.

Sarah's eyes locked onto Aisha's, a mixture of sadness and hope. "I've been searching for you for years," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I never gave up, never stopped believing that l will find you "

the room fell silent again Aisha mind was racing she didn't know how to feel , what to think , part of her was angry and hurt that l parent kept this secret away from her why another was curious eager to learn more about this sister she never knew existed

Ethan's eyes locked onto Aisha's ,a question in his gaze , Aisha nodded a small smile on her face ,"I'm okay "

she said her voice low as a whisper

Sarah eyes lit up with hope " does that mean... you'll get to know me ?she asked her voice trembling

Aisha heart skipped a bit she looked at Sarah she really looked at her and saw the same pain and longing she flet

"yes " Aisha said with a smile spreading across her face "I'll get to know you"

As the two sister shared a tentative smile Aisha knew that her world was going to change
