chapter 14 The Ambush

Aisha, Ethan, and Sarah made their way to the old warehouse, the darkness outside like a living, breathing entity that seemed to press in on them from all sides. The snow crunched beneath their feet, the only sound in the silence.

As they approached the warehouse, Aisha's instincts kicked in, her senses on high alert. Something felt off, like a buzzing in the air.

"Wait," she said, her voice low. "I think we're walking into a trap."

Ethan's eyes narrowed, his hand on her arm. "What makes you think that?"

Aisha's gaze scanned the area, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. "I don't know, I just have a feeling."

Sarah's eyes were wide with fear, her voice barely above a whisper. "I think we should get out of here, Aisha."

Aisha's jaw set, her determination overriding her fear. "No, we need to see this through. Let's go."

The three of them moved cautiously towards the warehouse, their eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. As they reached the entrance, Aisha's phone buzzed, breaking the silence.

She looked down, her eyes scanning the screen.

"It's Rachel," she said, her voice low. "She wants to meet me inside."

Ethan's eyes narrowed, his expression grim. "It's a trap, Aisha. Don't go in."

But Aisha's mind was made up. She knew she had to see this through, no matter what.

"I'll go," she said, her voice firm. "You two stay here, and keep an eye out for anything suspicious."

Ethan's eyes locked onto hers, a sense of worry etched on his face "Be careful Aisha"

Aisha nodded a small smile on her face "I will "

with a deep breath, she push open the door and step inside the darkness swallowing her whole

The ware house was dimly lit, the only sound was the cracking of the old wooden beams and the soft sound of machinery in a distance, Aisha eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness, her sence on highly alert

And then she saw her, Rachael, standing in the shadows,a smile on her face.

" Aisha darling "Rachel said, her voice dripping with sweetness "Have been waiting for you "

"what is going on ,Rachel ?"

Aisha asked her voice firm

Rachel smile grew wider, her eyes grinning with triumph,"Oh Aisha"she said her face low "you are about to find out"

suddenly the light flickered and the warehouse was bathed in darkness

and then just as suddenly as it has started the light flickered back on, revealing a figure standing behind Rachel
