Chapter 18 ‘I won’t wear it.’ Sophie stood at the door, face like thunder. She was dressed in her new Drovers Flat Central School uniform: green-checked cotton shift with a white collar, black lace-up school shoes, and a misshapen, floppy green hat. ‘I look awful.’ ‘No . . . you don’t.’ Ric studied her as objectively as possible.
