Jessi closed out with the nanny and I took Caleb to go give him a bath. I was surprised at how she allowed me to take the reins. I figured she would be hovering over me and instructing me on what to do, but she was surprisingly lenient on what I was doing.
I cleaned Caleb off in the bath then dried him off with a towel. The smile on his face was massive and he kept trying to swat at my nose. I bent forward and gave him a kiss, marveling in how soft his skin felt.
My son.
I was kissing my son.
Taking him into the nursery as dishes were clinking in the kitchen. I figured Jessi was probably cleaning up, so I took it upon myself to figure out how to put Caleb in the colorful diapers Jessi used. It took me a few tries to get him into one, but I finally succeeded.
