Chapter Thirteen The road ran along the bank of fog, not three horse lengths from its depths. It had taken them a day and a half to get there, but they had loaded up on supplies after leaving the Ox Bow Inn. The night under the stars had been uneventful. Before investigating the Fog, they set up camp on the far side of the road, back in the trees a bit. Here they tended to the horses and got them settled. Marl worried about going into the Fog, and what would happen to them if they didn’t make it back, so he made sure the horses were tied up just at the edge of the trees.
