Chapter Thirty-Three Marl said, “Was that?” Oritas jumped to his feet. “Well, it looks like you’ll get to see the dragon after all. This way,” he said and ran out of the mess hall and across to the tower. It took only seconds to cross the small courtyard. Everyone filed through the door, and Oritas slammed it shut, and climbed the stairs. All four archers manned slits in the tower, bows at the ready. “We don’t go up top because there’s little point.” Marl pushed his way past and climbed the ladder and said, “Everyone stays here; we’re not fighting Aldrei today unless we have no choice, but get your weapons ready.” Oritas followed up the ladder.
