Soon we had a spinach salad and chicken alfredo with broccoli. Quick, easy, and pretty good, especially since we had worked on it together. Afterward I put out a big bowl of apples, pears, bananas, grapes, and tangerines. We ate fruit as we drank our coffee. When the dishes were in the dishwasher and the leftovers put away, we went back to the great room. I added more wood to the fire and turned down the thermostat, so we wouldn’t be too warm.
