Chapter 4, Theo P.O.V After that meeting, I took Sage and got out of that place. I didn't know the people who work with my family would be out here. It looks like they were serious about building their business. I wish Sage were up, I could have shown her new room, but she would be out for a while after that last needle. I don't want want to wake her, and we might need to move already. And I could use this time to get a game plan with Owen. I am pulling out my phone, waiting for Owen to pick it up. "Already need my help with your little?" "No, she is out cold. We need to talk about moving places." I say with a serious tone. "Alright, I will be right over." The line went dead. Pulling my phone down, I head to the kitchen and pull out two blood bags. The front of me opens, and I hear the footsteps come right in the kitchen. I am grabbing two glasses pouring the blood into the glasses. "What's up, Theo?" He grabs the glass, taking a large sip of blood. "Well, let us say I heard your twin brothers here in town. And they have Sage older brothers as subs." He spits out some of the blood from his mouth while I throw him a towel. He whipped his mouth and still looking at me in shock. Owen may not like his brothers, but he still cares for them from afar. After I ask Owen to move with me, he cut all family ties from this family to be free from them. He never wanted anything from his family and agreed to come with me if we stick close together. One thing is for sure, Owen and me wanted away from our family and their power-hungry. From what I have seen, the people working at the Adoption agency all Recognize me right away. We were in hiding for 40 years and changed a lot about ourselves. Hell, we changed our last names to ensure that, and even when we worked, we made sure no one knew of our family's. Owen and I both don't like using our real last name, we would have the jobs hand over to us quickly, and everyone would treat us differently. That's not us. We wanted to work hard for what we have. Have an average life of being a vampire with their tiny human. It was our time where we wanted to be ourselves and grow with the humans. "Owen, we might need to move if your brothers find us here. We had our fun for 40 years, dating, one-night stands, and travelling worldwide. I don't want to be on the run. If we move one more time, I want it to be that place." Owen is taken aback by this, but he understands that we would be forced to marry other families if our families were to find us. They would hold our tiny humans against us as well to make sure we do everything they say. "Yeah, but they haven't found us yet, Theo, and I feel the need to have payback for what they did to me a long time ago," Owen says, smirking. Oh man, there is no telling what Owen is going to do to those twins. When Owen wants to take revenge on someone, he will make sure you never do it again. One of the girls he was dating was trying to say he got her pregnant. It turns out she was messing around with another vampire. Owen turns that woman's life to hell for 24 hours before she was calling him to stop. Owen got her family business was losing all their clients, and take away their big house, cars, and private plan. It was like Owen took away all their wants and needs in one day, and he forever made that woman never step on anyone's toes again. Last I heard, she had her kid with that guy then, working for her family in the background. Their family got their business back to normal, and everything is fine. "Do whatever you want, Owen, but I'm going to make a call to have those houses get built. I want to live in Hawai'i again. I loved the beach and kind of want to Settle down there." "I see, or is it someone who caught your eyes. If I remember, there was that sexy woman who was half Hybrid there. But then we left because 'we needed to move on, but you were scared of getting those feelings." Owen laughs at me, smacking his legs. He was acting as if its the most fun thing. "Didn't she have a little too? Is that way you got your little? So you can go on playdates together, using your own little to get the hybrid into your bed." Owen throws his head back from laughing so much. I was about to say something when I heard the baby monitor go off. Sage was crying in her crib. Owen is lucky this time, but next time I'm going to make sure he ends up on the floor. "Listen, Owen, no, I'm not using her as my little to get closer to that woman. And you should know, I was thinking of Sage and your human too. Winter is coming, and I don't want Sage to get sick." Walking away from Owen, I walk right to Sage's room. Once I open the door, my baby girl stands in her crib, crying her eyes out. I scoop her into my arms, rubbing her back. "Shh, it's ok, baby girl, daddy here." Checking her dipper, and sure enough, she needs to be changed. I lay Sage on the changing table. Sage stops crying and watches me change her diaper, turning her head away once she sees me looking at her. After finishing cleaning her, I grab a yellow Onesie for her. I am changing her out of her old clothes, throwing the old clothes into the trash. Sage looks down, smiles at her new clothes. All her life, gray was the only colour she wore. "Now why were you crying, baby girl" picking her up from the changing table, Sitting down on the rocking chair. I always loved the rocking chair when I was a little kid, and I always wanted my little one to feel loved like how I used to be. But having kids of my own is different. "I-i had nightmares..." Sage says, pulling on her fingers. "Well, baby girl, want to tell me?" "No, no, daddy!" Shaking her head hard. Laughing at her, I keep rocking in the chair, rubbing her back. "Ok, Sage. Just close your eyes. Daddy will always be here for you, baby girl." Sage rubs her head on my chest, fighting to sleep, but slowly she falls asleep again. I sit there and watch her sleep. I don't want to move or do anything right now. I'm getting excited for what tomorrow will bring, getting to know Sage more and playing with her. I might even go for a walk tomorrow to get ice cream. Show her off to the world, and maybe to my life to leave me alone. I could always wish on those things.
