Chapter 7

1856 Words
Theo P.O.V. One week later. Sage has been doing great for the past week. I didn't take her outside as I planned, but I trust her now and want to see how she does out. I know she had a hard time with other littles, and they did some bad stuff to her. But I also don't want to baby her or make her feel to run away from other littles. I hope the playdate we have for Sage and Zinnia goes well. "Daddy," Sage pulls on my pants. After three days, I got Sage to call me when she needed me. She used to wait until I asked her something to tell me and won't tell me when she was hungry. "Yes, Sage?" "Umm, can I have some juice?" "No, let's get you some milk. You have to take a nap before our guests arrive, and I don't want you to fall asleep on them." Grabbing her, placing her on my hip as I walk out of my office. I wanted her close to me no matter what, so I bought a place pen for her to colour. It's just high enough to make sure she doesn't climb out. The saying was right. When you get your little ones, you want them by your side all the time. Flashback - "Listen, Theo, I know you get angry quickly, but when it comes to a human, they are too emotional. Sometimes they can't help but try their eyes out." Jack says, my boss. I came out telling Jack that I was getting a little and needed the one month. But I would still work from home. He's trying to make me stop working. But that is the only thing to do when she is sleeping. "Theo, when getting that human, your whole world wants to spend time with that human. I thought the same way you did before I got mine, and now look, I am worried that he will fight with the daycare workers about eating" I only meet his human once, and Jaime, his human and little. It is terrible not eating or drinking anything without Jack. Sometimes he needs to leave for an hour to get Jaimes to eat. But Jack always finds a way to stay on top of his work. I know that comes with time and knowing your little. But still, I know I can. "Take a break, Theo, because you don't want your human out of your sight once after the first meet. You will want to be like that for a while, and this is why I said take it easy." "Alright, fine. But I am still going to try to get some of my work done, Jack. It's not like I have someone waiting for me back home." Jack smiles. "Well, you are going to have a human soon. And you will be fighting to get out of here, and I don't have to call you and yell at you to leave the office no more." Jack laughs out. "Anyways, call me when you two are comfortable with each other. And we can set up a play date with Jamies." Just nod my head and walk out of his office—that old man, using Jamie's to get to see my human. It doesn't matter. I will still get most of my work done. End of FlashBack- I will call Jack later. I want to see how Sage and Zinnia will do first. And if things go well, I want to bring her outside and take her to small areas. Walking into the kitchen, I open the fridge and grab her bottle. I always made sure to have a bottle ready to go, never know when you need it. Sage grabs the bottle and starts to drink it. I am walking into her bedroom, sitting in the rocking chair. I had to make sure that Sage drank her milk slowly or get it all over the clothes. I like having this downtime. I have always been working and never really took the time to myself since my ex- Fiancé. After Sage went to bed or nap, my mind kept going back to my ex. That was the first time I have ever let someone into my heart or open up about somethings. And I know Owen doesn't understand. I need to talk to someone about this or get her out of my mind. "Daddy, who's coming over?" Pushing Sage hair out of her face, I kiss her forehead lovely. "It's Uncle Owen. He's coming here with his human. To have a play date with you." Sage doesn't say anything at the time, letting her be in her thoughts. I'm not going to be someone who looks into their littles mind all the time. I want her to be able to say it to my fade me and speak. "T-they going to be nice to me, daddy?" "Of course, baby girl, I will be there with you, and so will Uncle Owen. If anything were to happen, I would be there, and we could take breaks." "Ok," she breaths out. I can tell she is nervous and unsure of all this, but I know she can do it. I hate how the government treated Sage and not giving her a name like the others but a number. "Now, close your eyes, baby girl." She does as she is told and falls asleep in my arms. After spending a whole week with Sage, she feels just right to me. It helps that she listens to everything I say, and I didn't need to punish her yet. Laying her in the crib, making sure her panda is next to her. Closing the door down, I head out to the kitchen and start making lunch for everyone. Yes, vampires can eat regular food. We don't need it. But I only eat it when Sage feels that I'm left out or feel weird eating alone. And she is never to see me drink blood yet, reminds me, I need to go to the blood bank. Maybe Owen can go with me. I know he never left his place either. Opening my phone, texting Owen. Theo - Can you come with me to the blood bank today? ASS OWEN - Yeah, I was thinking of getting some from Zinnia, but I can wait since you are going there. I can't believe he would make her do those things already. It hasn't even been a month yet. But then again, he got a human that is a needy one. But then he does love s*x and more than me. All I can wish is that Zinnia can handle Owen. In every way and shape. I am finishing the cooking, letting the food sit for a couple of minutes. The door rings, then I hear Owens annoying voice come through the kitchen. "I lay Zinnia down on your couch. I hope you don't mind." "No problem, Sage is still napping. I should be getting her up soon. She's been sleeping the whole time I have been cooking." Owen sits down at the land. "How many times a day she napes?" "Sage is down for two naps a day and sleeps for nine hours. Sage was put down for Depression, anxiety, Separation anxiety. That can take a lot out of the human, and she used to get bullied badly." "Are you going to take her to talk to someone?" "Yeah, but she hates meeting new people and is openly talking to me after a week. If anything, I will take her to see a therapist after a couple more weeks." Owen gets up and grabs a glass of water, and starts making a bottle for Zinnia. "Why wait when she needs it now?" "Sage needs to trust me enough to talk to me after seeing a therapist, someone she can openly talk with her daddy. I spoke with the therapist, wanting me to have that Connection with her before bringing her in to see her." Owen nods. "Are you going to have the doctor come in cheek on Sage as well?" "Yes, I want them to take the tracker out of her and put my own in her. And for him to tests on her. There is something more than what I see on paper." "I agree. There is something more than what the paper is, and all the shots they have been given." I will need to get him here soon then. If Owen is feeling this uneasy, then this means something is up. The room went into silence for a couple of minutes until Zinnia cry's came to Attention. Owen runs into the living room, smoothing her with sweet words. She's probably scared of waking up in a different place. At least she doesn't walk around and touch everything. They walk into the kitchen, Owen holding Zinnia on his hip with her rubbing her eyes. Owen grabs her bottle, making sure she takes the n****e in her mouth. "Now Zinnia, this man right there is Uncle Theo. And we are visiting him and his little for a play date. Can you be a good girl and behave?" Owen says, looking down at Zinnia. Zinnia nods, grabbing the bottle in her hands looking all over the room. I pull high chairs out, sitting them down at the table. "I will go and get Sage. Sorry guys for an Advance. She gets shy when she wakes up." Owen nods her head, sitting down at the table with Zinnia still in his arms. Walking to Sage's room, opening the door, see that she is all curled up with her panda. I still can't believe they didn't give her a name just because she was brought in a couple of years later. I'm kind of angry about that, but then again, I'm happy I could name her something. And she Clings to the name. Rubbing her back, I kiss her head. "It's time to wake, sleepyhead. It's time to have lunch." Pulling her up, I walk her to the changing table, changing her diaper. She was slowly waking up but kept her head down, try to fight to stay up. I am changing her into a panda onesie and making sure to clipped her pacifier into her clothes. She is terrible for sucking on her fingers or her clothes. I had to make sure a pacifier was on her all the time. Placing her on my hip, I walk us out of the room. "Daddy, is the human nice?" Sage whispers to me, "She looks like a nice girl, but she just woke up not too long ago too. We will have to wait and see baby girl." She nods, curling more onto my chest. She does this when there is something new or something she is unsure of things. We walk into the kitchen. I grab her food and walk to the table. Zinnia sees Sage on my arm. Her eyes go wide. Zinnia drops her bottle onto the floor, and the room is full of screaming.
