Jack P.O.V.
Picking up Jaimes, carrying him out to the living room. Making him hold onto my shirt tightly, feeling his body wiggling in my arms.
“Jaimes, why are you so nervous?”
His whole body and mind are just going crazy right now. I know he has anxiety when it comes to playdates, but he would be throwing a tantrum or yelling how he wants to stay home with me, but now it’s like he wants to go to this playdate but is still wanting to stay home.
Sitting down on the couch with Jaimes on my lap, facing me. His head buried his head in my neck, with his hands still gripping my shirt tightly.
“Baby boy”
“hmm… I want to go, but… I don’t want to go either.”
“Little J, you always put up a fight every time we try to have a playdate. No one is going to hurt you or try to because I will always be there for you.”
Waiting on Jaimes, taking deep breaths while shaking in my arms.
“I don’t want little’s to use me, papa.”
“Why do you think they are going to use you, baby J?”
I already know what he is talking about, but I need Jaimes to talk more when something is boring. Jaimes has a hard time talking about his feelings and will wait until he can no longer handle it and cry out frustration.
I just really hope that Sage and Zinnia can help Jaimes get out of this fear of meeting new people and try to make new friends. I know we have come close, but it’s like he needs that little push to get to talking to people.
“Papa, I know you are handsome… but everyone wants you for a daddy or their mommy’s or daddy want you for themselves”
Listening to his heartbeat skip a beat, his little hands shaking. My little J is the cuties when dealing with his feelings.
“Listen, baby J, you know I haven’t been with anyone in a long time. And we both know that I won’t be with someone until I feel it’s the right time and they put you first, too.”
When I first got Jaimes, I was with someone at the time, and they pushed me to get a little so their little wouldn’t feel alone. I have to say, they were good until I found out the money was getting taken out of my bank.
That was the first and last time Jaimes as seen my dark side.
-FlashBack-
Walking inside the house with Jaimes sleeping comfortably in my arms, feeling his chest rise up and down.
It has been a week since I got Jaimes. I didn’t think I would love someone so quickie, more than I do with Emma and Fry. I’m happy I got more than yes please and no out of little Jaimes, but everything then again, it’s just been a week.
Quickie quietly walks into the house, putting Jaimes into his playpen and covering him in a blanket. Smiling down at him, I put his bunny next to him.
That bunny bear was the first thing I gave Jaimes when we first met. When I first laid my eyes on Jaimes, I just knew he was the one I needed and wanted him. I wanted to see Jaimes laugh and have a smile on his face all the time.
Living in my thoughts, I walk into the kitchen, making some snacks for Jaimes and Fry. Apples, pineapple. Pour some lemonade into a sippy cup, placing the two cups into the fridge.
Looking down at my phone, I see it should be about time they almost are home. Emma doesn’t work late on Friday. I will need to get Jaimes ready for our dinner plans to welcome Jaimes into the family.
*RING RING RING*
Letting out a growl, I answer the phone.
Why are they calling me at times? They could have waited until Monday for this when I’m in a shitty mood for going into work for a couple of hours.
“Hello, Sir Hudson?” A male voice comes through the phone.
“You are speaking with.”
“We wanted to let you know that we have stopped all money from being transferred from your bank account.”
What the hell are they talking about? I haven’t spent any money for the past week or since I got Jaimes.
“Was it a hacker that did this?” I ask.
“No sir, someone was trying to withdraw almost half your money but failed to due to not knowing what the questionnaire you have set up.”
Good thing I set up those security questions, but the question is, who would dare to steal from me. I don’t have many close friends, and those I let in don’t know I have money.
“The wolves police have captured the person and holding them. We just wanted to let you know that we have everything under control.”
“What was the person’s name, if I may ask.”
I might want to kill this person, but I need to know who’s the life I need to ruin. No one comes after my family or me. This is one thing I want to deal with on my own, having my own revenge.
“Umm, Sir, her name is Emma Summer. Also, she was found with a copy of your cards.”
Why.
Why is it always the ones I love or learn to love always betrays me!
Everyone uses me, using me like until they are done with me!
I’m not trash or something that anyone can throw away. I’m someone. Jack Hudson, the only son and the one who worked hard all my life.
I don’t need anyone anymore if they use me for money.
“Sir”
“Let Emma Summer go.”
“Sir, are you saying”
“Yes, drop all the charges against her. But make sure to leave what she did on her record, though.”
“Yes, sir.”
I don’t even remember what time of day it was. All I could do was replay everything that just happened. How could Emma do this to me, after everything we have done with each other.
‘Everything is a lie.’ A dark voice says.
‘Don’t trust anyone Jack’
Whos that!
I turn around, looking at every inch of the Kitchen room. With nothing but the blinking lights of what time it is on the stove.
‘I’m your inner demon Jack. You have heard of what happens when a vampire slowly starts losing their mind, right?”
This is what the old vampires were talking about. When a vampire slowly starts to give in to the loneliness, beginning to kill themselves. This happens after a long time of living. I didn’t know this would happen to me anytime.
Hearing the front door open and close, resting my hands on the table. Trying everything not to hurt this woman or destroy the kitchen.
Hearing the heels echo through the house, listening as they stop at the door of the kitchen. Throwing my head up, closing my eyes shut.
“Jack… I didn’t mean.”
“ENOUGH” I yell.
“I fucken trusted you for a long as time Emma, not once did I ask you for anything other than helping with my little. But what did you want from me! Money like the pigs of humans.” I yell, turning my body at Emma.
I already can feel my eyes turning red with rage, angry that I have been hiding for years. The Control slipped out of my hand, something I have been working on for years.
“I had to get the money from you. I needed to replay my debt before they took my little away! I knew you would never let me have the money. It was that or-”
“Or what Emma!.. I had done a background cheak on you, Emma, when we started dating. You have no debt. And why I did, it was because I needed to make sure I didn’t end up with someone using me for my money.”
I walk right up to Emma, has she backs up to the wall.
After everything we have been through together, I would never hurt a woman, no matter how angry or disgusted with her.
“W-why would you” Emma Stutters.
“There is no other reason why you would need the money, Emma, and after what you pulled… I would never spend anything on you.” Pulling away from Emma, walking inside the living room.
Pulling Jaimes from his playpen, tucking his head into my neck with his little arms tightened around my neck. His breath was unsteady and shaking in my arms.
Grabbing his bunny, I walk towards the front door with Emma right behind me. The heels were clicking on the wood floor. Emma grabs my other arm, pulling me towards her.
“Touch me again, Emma, and I will have you in jail alongside with your little. You have until the end of the mouth to get your stuff out of here.”
Ripping my arm away from Emma, opened the front door and walked over to my truck. Getting Jaimes in his car seat. Walking on the other side, I jump into the driver’s seat and take off the road.
“Papa,” Jaimes speaks up.
I looked into the review mirror and saw my little J tears dripping down his face. Pulling the truck over, I jump out and run over to Jaimes. Hugging him tightly.
“I’m sorry you had to see that, Jaimes… you don’t have to worry about seeing that side of me again.”
Backing away, leaving a kiss on his forehead. Jaimes bright brown eyes look at me, with tears still going down his face.
“Papa, why are you crying too?”
