Theo P.O.V.
It didn't take long for Sage to pass out from all her crying. Wrapping her up in a blanket, I place her down in the crib. I watch for a couple of minutes, then walk out of the room.
My poor baby, this is her first time having a panic attack. I'm kind of happy that I was there when it happened and not in the daycare place.
Walking inside my office, I see Jack and Jaimes talk with each other. Even after being together after just five years, they still look strong together. Sitting down on my chair, Jaimes up looks at me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make her cry," Jaimes says, looking up to me.
"It's alright, Jaimes, you did nothing wrong. If anything, I should be thanking you."
"B-but I made her cry."
"In all honesty, Sage has been thought a lot before I got her from the government. And thanks to you, I was able to figure out what makes her so scared."
Grabbing a candy from my disks, handing it over to Jaimes with his face lit up. Jaimes hands it over to his daddy, who opens it up for him and hands him the candy over.
"So, what you are saying, Theo, is that Sage has hard times still?" Jack asks.
"Yes, she was treated differently for the last 18 years. I was lucky enough she even said anything to me when I first said something to her, be has you can see that little time with another little made her open up. Yes, she dreams of that place, but I have always whipped away."
Jack nods his head, carrying Jaimes inside the play-pen, letting him play with the colour books and finish his candy.
"How long as the nightmares start?"
"Since she got here, and have been here since."
Jack nods his head, looks down at Jaimes and smiles. "I see why you wanted Sage. She is different from others. Even the smell of her blood."
"That is something I need to talk to you about another time. On the other hand, I want Jaimes to be friends with her as well as Zinnia. I think three of them make a cute friendship."
Jaimes looks up, giving me a big smile. "I will look over her Uncle Theo!" He says.
Jack and I laugh at him. Jaimes is an excellent little, but he has ways of getting into trouble, if anything, but he is perfect between Sage and Zinnia.
Another I want to happen, for those littles to have someone other than us. But the main reason I want those other littles around is so Sage can feel comfortable around others.
It sounds selfish, but I want everything to work out for Sage. Never feeling alone or unwanted again, and if this means being social, I guess it has to be done.
-One hour later-
The baby monitor goes off, hearing Sage start crying. Getting up from the chair, I see Jaimes start to jump in the play-pen, having his hands in his air.
"I want to come to Uncle Theo! I want to see Sage" Jaimes keeps jumping up at me.
"Let's go then, but remember she just got up from a short nap. Sage will not be in a playful mood." I say.
"Ok!"
I pulled him out of the pen-play, sitting her feet down on the floor and making Jaimes run towards the door. Jack turns his head, watching Jaimes.
"No running in the house, Jaimes! Or do you want a punishment?"
Jaimes stops. "No, daddy," he says, putting his head down, walking out the room slowly.
Chuckling, I walk behind Jaimes walking into Sage's bedroom. Turning on a light, I see Sage trying to break out of the blanket I wrapped around her.
Walking up to her crib, she stops trying to get out of the blanket. Smiling down at her, I kiss her forehead as her whole face turns red. Pulling her up from the crib wrapped in a blanket, walking out with Jaimes watching us closely.
We walk back into the office, lay down Sage on the floor of the play-pen with Jaimes sitting next to Sage, undoing the blanket a little bit, watching as her arms stretch out.
"There is my baby girl, have a good sleep?" I ask.
She nods her head, looking around the room. "Daddy"
"Yes, baby girl?"
"I-i want a drink."
"What do we say, Sage?"
"Please, can I have a drink?"
Nodding my head, I kiss her cheek, closing the play-pen gate making sure they don't ruin my office. Jack and I walk inside the kitchen while I grab milk, and Jack holds water and juice, putting them half and half.
It was nice having someone other than Owen to talk with, and a little I don't have to worry if something is going to be broken. But it is boring without them.
"So, what's tomorrow looking for both of you?"
"We are going to the doctor's tomorrow. Sage gets her blood test back and going to see what's wrong with her back. Other than that, we got nothing else."
What does Jack want from this? Damn, does he want me to go back to work, alright? After him Lecturing me for hours to stay close to my little the first month, then turned around asking me to come in. Make up your mind, Jack.
"Why don't we meet up at the park tomorrow? From the looks of things, it looks like Jaimes is taking a liking to Sage. I'm not going to lie. I'm Jealous of how quickly Jaimes was attached."
I turn my head to Jack, him holding the bottle waiting for me. "You, jealous. That's hard to believe."
"It's the truth. It's kind of like you want their attention too. You will understand as time goes on, Theo."
The front door opens the smell of men's Cologne and the smell of Strawberry Shampoo, letting me know that Owen and Zinnia are here. I love how he doesn't knock anymore, walks right in like you pay the bills here.
I hear little footsteps fast walking towards the kitchen. Zinnia looks around then up to me. "Sage is my office play-pen, come on, I will let you in, Zinnia."
Zinnia nods her head, but once she looks at Jack, she can't seem to stop staring at him. Owen walks in, placing his hand out for Zinnia. On the other hand, he has of milk bottle ready.
"Hey guys, started the party without us, I see," Owen says, smirking at Jack and me.
Rolling my eyes, we walk towards my office. Opening the gate, I quickly grab Sage holding her in my arms.
"IT'S YOU! What are you doing in Sage's house!" Zinnia points to Jaimes.
"Me! What are you doing here! Are you following now!" Jaimes yells back.
Wow, it's like watching old people yelling over the tv remote. Is that the suitable worlds' human say? I think so, but they do act like it.
Sage ignores them and grabs the bottle out of my hands, drinking the milk. I look down at her, watching as her eyes look back at me. It seems she doesn't care right now. Note to self that she loves milk more than Zinnia.
Smiling, I sit down behind my chair, watching Sage. For some reason, since that bear Incident, Sage has been more deeply in her headspace.
I shouldn't force her to let it play out and see what Sage does around Jaimes and Zinnia.
"Daddy! I meet him at that dumb daycare!" Zinnia yells.
I looked up, seeing Zinnia stomping her foot, pointing her finger at Jaimes. While Jaimes is looking at her, trying to push her finger away.
"Stop pointing at me, Zinnia, and stop touching me."
"I'm not touching you, Jaimes!"
Both Jack and Owen grab them, spanking them five times, making them whine, kicking their legs.
"Jaimes, you know better than to yell at someone. You don't like it when someone does it to you, do you?"
"No .. Papa," Jaimes says.
Jack pulls Jaimes up, kissing him on the side of the forehead. Owen rubs Zinnia's ass, whispering in her ear. I kind of like not spanking Sage, but then again, Sage is well behaved after I Threatened her with the rules.
"Daddy... play, please." Sage pulls on my shirt.
"Are you done with your bottle?"
"Umm, umm... no."
"Finish that first. Then you can play with Zinnia and Jaimes."
She nods her head, tipping the bottle in her mouth. Sage looks over and waves at Zinnia, making Zinnia smile and wave back.
It's going to be interesting to see what Jaimes and Zinnia will be like when Sage goes to daycare. Well, as long as I don't get a call to calm down, Sage, it's fine by me.
"You are a good girl, Sage. My little baby girl." Turning her head around kisses her lips.
Yes, my little girl.
