Chapter 6

1522 Words
Sarah I sat shocked at Xavier’s words, I know nothing about him and yet he wants me to live with him. I felt so foolish, yes he rescued me and probably gave me these nice pajamas I am wearing. Intriguing he said, how was I intriguing. I had done nothing remotely intriguing. I wanted to scream, cry, to crawl up into a ball and hope to turn invisible. I felt as if I had left one mouse trap and stumbled into another. Thinking back, to meeting Tristan my so-called fiancée at my parent's house. I felt a wave of sickness overcome me. Xavier said he wanted me here and there was no way I could go back to my parent's house or take another shot living on the streets. I had to play it smart, if he was willing to put up with me, then I would take up his offer. My gaze traveled over the room, it appeared to be a home office. His desk was littered with papers, two computers and an iPad laying haphazardly. The door opened revealing Xavier, carrying a bag of chips and a bottle of water. The corners of my mouth upturned, I guess it was true that men could not cook. Not even rich white men. I did not understand why he was being so nice to me. If this was a ruse, then I’d prefer he get it over with. I was not a virgin but the s*x department was not my strong suit. Also, in being an only child, I had no one to rely on but myself so trust was an unstable factor in this situation. I asked him a second time the question that had been bouncing around my brain. “Why, why am I here and don’t say it’s because you want me,” I command. “I have explained as much as I can at this time. Do not worry my little flower, the answers you desire will make themselves clear in due time” he replied, evasively. I snatched the chips from the table, shoveling the spicy chips down my throat as I glared daggers at him. He was so infuriating but no doubt sexy. Had I not been starting so intently, I would not have noticed the scar on the side of his forehead. I did not want to ask how it got there so I continued to eat and sneak peeks at him when he wasn’t looking. I set the bag down, rolling it to make a makeshift seal. Uncapping the water, I took notice that the seal hadn’t been broken and took a long swig. That means everything was fresh. The chips were new, water was new. I guess poison was not on the agenda for right now. I could not help but stare once more, this time our eyes met and he smirked. I looked away, embarrassed I was caught. Clearing his throat, I slowly turned my head to face him. He was already making his way toward me. I shamelessly looked him over the head to toe, my gaze fitted on his muscular torso. I licked my dry lips, no doubt I wanted to lick his… I snapped out of my lust riddled response. What was I just thinking about, licking him? I was not the common w***e and yet I felt my mother’s hurtful words come full frontal. CHEAP! I guess I just proved her right. I barely knew Xavier and I was already thinking about what was underneath his shirt. I turned my head, to face forward. The shift on the couch alerted me of him sitting down. I moved over to provide some space between us. “Flower, why don’t we go out for lunch, a proper one. One you don’t run away from me and I’m left staring at your shadow. Like those old cartoons.” He asks. I giggled at his cartoon reference, I knew exactly what he was talking about. I was surprised he knew about any cartoons about the matter. He didn’t look all that old but he seemed too serious and busy to watch any. I nodded my head at him, “Okay Mr. Stone, I’d be happy to have lunch with you.” He tipped my chin up to look directly into his eyes, “You can call me Xavier for now but I’d much rather you call me daddy.” He says, seduction laced in tone. I opened my mouth, then closed it. How did he know that I was into that? Did he read my journal- “My backpack, my journal, where is it? Did you read my journal?” I say, frantically. “Calm down, your backpack is my bedroom, the one you are sleeping in this morning and no I did not read your journal. Was there something important in it that I should know about.” He asks. I shake my head no and let out a small sigh. He probably was teasing me with the daddy thing. No one knew the extent of how much I was into daddy kink. It was a secret sort of, well from Xavier it was a complete secret. He walked me to the door and led me back to his bedroom. I slipped into the bathroom, so he could change. A door shutting signaled that he most likely went. I opened my backpack, bypassing the cute childlike clothing I had packed. I settled for the same look as yesterday. A pair of skinny jeans and a shirt. I found my ratty Converse sneakers in the corner. Slipping them on I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and brush the tangled mess of hair on my head. I stepped out to find Xavier leaning against the door, trading in his sweats to jeans. He looked like a dark edgy model. I kept pace with him as he started walking out of the building, into an elevator and across a car garage. It was complete silence as we made our journey. The garage was full of a wide array of cars. I wanted to ask if they were all his but did not want to appear rude. We stopped at a shiny black car, I looked around for James, the driver but he was nowhere to be seen. A part of me felt as if he was going to jump out from one of those cars and scare me. When nothing happened, I opened the door and followed Xavier inside. ———————— Xavier took me to the same restaurant we had come to yesterday. The staff greeted him by name so I assumed he was a favorite of this place. The menu I did not think I would see again, staring up at me, taunting me. I selected a dish with the word pasta and what looked like the marinara in it. Xavier watched as I stumbled over the words when telling the waiter. I glared at him as he took the liberty to tell the waiter our orders. I stared at him as he gave me a smug smirk. I hated the silence so I took the initiative to break the ice. I suggested we play the game 20 questions. I began to ask about his favorite colors, foods, family life and what he did for a living. I was surprised at his willingness to share. He told me he 29, enjoyed to eat steak and liked black. The waiter interrupted him as he was about to say where he worked. I was leaning toward a lawyer of some sort. Lawyers made lots of money and well he appeared to have lots of money. I smiled at food, I had ordered. It was simply pasta with marinara sauce and little chunks of chicken mixed in. I took an apprehensive bite as Xavier took a bite out his steak. “This is so good.” I moaned. He smirked at the moan I let out. I looked back down at my food to avoid his heated stare. He set the fork down and wiped his mouth. The words he said next, made me drop my dark as well as my mouth. To say I was shocked when he said was a CEO of a company, was an understatement. I still was in shock when I heard a loud shrill of excited screams. I turned my attention to the woman rushing toward our table. She wore neck plunging red dress and matching high heels. Her straight blond hair looked better than my messy low bun. I watched the recognition on Xavier’s face as she spoke a few words in his ears and planted herself in his lap. She looked at me with disgust and turned her head back to him. The very moment hurt my heart to see, as she planted her lips on his. What was worse, was that he did nothing to stop her.
