Chapter 53 - Where am I ? part I

Unknown POV #2

It sucks to be watching this from the background. I have no words to say about this. I sigh. I cannot even speak to her. I had to wait until she remembered me.  When will she have her memories back? I do not know. I’m tired of waiting. I want to speak with her more.  I don’t know where I am. I end up watching her relive her memories through her dream. I took a deep breath. It’s like watching a speeding ticking going vroom. I wonder… should I? hmmm…I’m still thinking where am I?  I’m in an empty blackness. There’s no door. Well technically there are doors. But, these doors are special. Because, it leads to every part of memories. Good and bad. 

The doors are her past, present and future. Deep within her mind. How do I let her remember me? Should I force her memories to go back? But if I did that I would damage her. I’m not the only one who also thinks this. I’m not the only one watching from the sidelines. I can’t even move around. Nor do we do anything. Beside myself. I learned that we are in the human realm. It’s where all humans reside. There’s no supernaturals at all. There are hunters of course. But, not the kind that kills werewolves. They don’t even use silvers or wolfsbane. Because, there’s none in this world. I think there’s hunters who hunt animals. Any animals to be exact. 

The only animals I knew about would be bears. Wolves in the human realm are sacred. They would live in a sanctuary around the world within the human realm. There are other animals. But, I don't think hunters would kill them. They are too precious. Until, you count hunting lions and leopards as one. I don’t know much about hunters. Since, I’m living peacefully in the human world. And also I can’t really interact with them. Why you may ask? Because, I’m laying around in the back of my owner's mind that’s why. Well technically, I’m supposed to be human. Aren’t I? Since, I’m born with both human parents. But, at the same time I don’t feel human at all. 

I think I lost all hope. No wait, I lost all feeling. I felt numb. And I still wonder why. Or where am I ? I could tell I’m not the only one watching at the back of the owner's mind. Hmm.. humans think I’m crazy. Maybe to them; I allow them to think I am. Since then, I watch everything that happens. Except the human soul wouldn’t remember it. So, I always have different owners. Which is weird right? I’ve lived a long time. I have many names. But, no one would remember me. The only one who would remember me is that special owner of mine. Hopefully, my name will not be forgotten. Since, I’m still here. Trying to figure out why.

My current memories up to now are all fuzzy to me. It was all jumbled up. Like trying to put the pieces together like a puzzle. I cannot find the right piece in the puzzle. They didn’t fit. So, no matter how many times my owner tries to remember herself; it will hurt her more. She would get headaches or migraines. As if she was thinking too much for her brain to explode. I could also hear voices inside my owner's mind. The only voices I heard already revealed themselves in person. However; to her; she doesn’t remember them. It’s like someone put a spell on her. So; she would forget what is going on. Or people would think she was sleepwalking. Or that she’s paranoid. 

I would be there watching from the back of her mind. I think I’m created by her. Maybe I’m part of her emotions. Not sure. Since then, I’m still growing within her. Along with the others too. We are all watching her memories like a movie. We are also watching our owners. Well we know that our owner is a human. Is what people around her believe so. But, this human doctor we saw in the past before; they say that our owner has a split personality. Or multi personalities. Beside the doors I could see previously; I could see others like me. Except they have the same features and physical appearance. But, our hair and eye color are different. 

Right now, I could see around them are cages. They are locked tightly with keys. And most of all;  I could a strange box in some strange altar like. The ones where you offer something. Then, you pray to the god. And you get your wish. Those kinds of things. However; this one is different. In all of them; they all had the same thing. The same strong boxes. Not only that, the people that I saw are chained around them. It was like there were statues or crosses that symbolize them. Their eyes were opened. Their eyes were closed. Like they are in a deep slumber. The ones who are awake are mostly held in cages. I squint my eyes. There were bold words held where my eyes lay on them. 

It says  “ Dangerous “. I tilt my head to the side. I wonder which part of them was dangerous to me. They don’t look like they could hurt someone. But, looks can be deceiving. No?

Rina could see eternal darkness. Left to right. There’s nothing. Up and down. Nothing, but blackness. There’s no way to go. She has to move forward. She tries to call out in the open.

“ Hello! “

“ Anyone there ? “

It’s completely silent. She doesn’t like it to be very quiet. Because she thinks that someone is out there to get her. But, she’s the only one here. She couldn’t see anyone at all. It was like she was the only one there. She continues to walk further down into darkness. Once reached she heard a strange voice. It was calling out to her.

“ Katrina “

“ Come out come out “

“ Wherever you are “

“ Katrina “

“ Hurry “

“ Come find me “

The voice continues to speak to her. But, she doesn’t recognize the voices. The further down she goes; the further the voices continue to speak to her. It continues to echo through the lingers of darkness. She could not see them. She could only hear them. As she was about to give up, her knees gave out to her from walking too much. But, she thought saw a bright light. She continues to follow where the bright light came from. However; the bright light disappeared. She thought she heard an eerie sound. A sound of slashing. It was all in the mind though. There was nothing there. It was only her though. Rina starts to feel fatigue. 

It hangs onto her body. She collapsed after a moment of walking again. Her body starts to shut down once more. As she slept, she thought she felt someone touching her. Her face starts to burn up in flame. Like the ones where you feel like you’re in a desert. A place where it's all sand and nothing else. She continues to fall down into a depth of nothing. She felt her body starting to feel heavier and heavier. She heard voices again. But, this time the voice was somehow gentle. She felt someone touching her forehead. She tries to move or make a sound. But none came out. As she slowly opens one of her eyes; just to take a peek, she starts to be afraid. 

For once in her life, she thought she was floating in the air. However; when she opened her eyes; she found herself in an unknown place. A place that wasn’t there in the first place. She starts to slowly open both of her eyes. She heard another voice. It was more of a female voice rather than a men’s voice. 

“ Who’s there ? “

“ What’s your name child ? “

She tries to respond to the voice. But, she doesn’t remember her name. It was as if her mind was being sucked out of her. She doesn’t know who she is. She starts to look high above her. She saw nothing, but complete darkness around her. It’s the same blackness from the start. Her mind was foggy like a misty cloud. She was too weak to call for help. Her mouth will not allow her too. She debated whether to call out to the voice. But, she thought if she did; would the voices be friendly or foe. She wonders if the voices would be able to hear her. So, she didn’t say anything. She stayed laying down. After a few minutes, another glow appeared. 

This time it was a lot different somehow. A glow and bright light starts to appear. When she turned around, the light shone onto themself to her eyes. It starts to blind her a little bit. She swiftly put her right hand above her eyes. It was a way to block the light hitting on her.

“ What was that ? “

“ Where did that light come from ? “

A girl’s voice spoke in her mind. She places her hand in the front. It was supposed to support her when she got up. As she tries to, she could feel her legs feeling weak. It was a feeling that made her legs feel numb to the core. However; her legs didn't respond to her correctly. She ends up tripping over nothing. She tries to get up again. But, this time she felt like it's her first time walking. Each time she took a step; she carefully tried baby steps. She didn’t fall this time. She felt the coldness of being in Antarctica. A place she never been too in her life. She sighs to herself. She had no one to help her. She was all alone. She waited for five minutes. 

When five minutes had passed, she slowly got up. She was in deep thought. As well as she was minding her business. When suddenly, the same bright light flashes to her. The speed was unheard of. It was quick as a thunderstorm and burns like fire. It feels like someone was calling out to her silently.  The light stopped for a split second. Then she took a deep breath. She noticed there was no fragrant scent around her.It was a musky yet fishy and foul odor. It smelled like a mixture of eggs and dead rats. She didn’t need to use her nose to notice the smell. She starts to walk forward. She decided to call out to whoever could hear it.

“ Hello ? “

“ Anyone there ? “

The girl spoke out loud. It was completely and utterly silent. It was very eerie to say. She continues to walk. She didn’t stop walking. Even if she did, there was nothing to sit on. Everywhere she looked she could see everything. All around her was nothing, but complete darkness. There were no buildings. There were no cars. There were no people. It was just her. And everything was all BLACK. As she continues to walk, she notices that she’s feeling hot. A feeling that you’re in a desert surrounded by sands nothing more nothing less. Far from a distance, she thought she saw a beautiful oasis filled with water and flowers. 

Oasis was a place where you could relax. Not only that, you could drink water from it. So, she walked closer to inspect it. But, when she tries to get close; it would feel like she’s being pulled back into darkness. She tries not to rub her eyes. She doesn’t want her eyes to grow wide and big. Nor does she want it to be red and puffy like cotton candy. She gave up her quest to reach the oasis. Then, she sighs. It feels like months, days, years, and hours. That’s how she felt being stuck in an endless dark. Then she stopped to take a break. She sighs again.

“ This will never end “

“ I can’t find my way “

The girl mumbled under her breath. The same flash of bright light appears again. It was the feeling you could see when you see bad weather. But, it reminds you of seeing a yellow lightning like a pikachu. Because, it was quick and the speed was top notch. It comes and goes as it pleases. Again, it blinds her but not that much.

“ Where is that light coming from ? “

The girl spoke to herself. On cue, the bright light stopped in its tracks. Far from a distance, in her view; she thought she saw a glow beneath her. She ignored the feeling. She continues to walk an endless path.

“ Will I be alone here ? “

The girl spoke as she took in her surroundings.

“ You are never alone child “

A caring voice appeared. She heard a voice. She doesn’t recognize it. The voice continued to talk to her.

“ I will always be here for you“

Another voice spoke in turns. It was a calm voice like a waving sea. It feels familiar to her like she has heard it all week.

“ Not in person, but in spirit “

There it goes again. Another voice appeared. The voice echoes into the darkness. It continues to be like that for about five to ten minutes. Each time the girl takes further in walking. As she went further in, she took a deep breath. In doing so, fresh morning strawberries covered in vanilla and coconut enter her noses. It smelled wonderful. A drool life on her mouth as she takes in the scent. As she continued to walk, she stopped midway. She found herself in a path that split into three. A fork in the road. To her left, it shows her a field of glowing flowers. In front of her, it shows her a raging fire as dark clouds loomed overhead. And to her right, it shows her countless skeleton bones here and there. 

“ What do you seek there lad ? “

The girl turned around. A beautiful silhouette girl stands strong and mighty. She wasn’t there before. Her hair glows brightly in the rays of a morning sunrise.  She spoke to her again in a calm demeanor voice.

“ To your left is the past “

“ In front of you is the present “

“ To your right is the future “

The female stranger spoke to her.

“ The answer lies within your heart “

“ Follow your heart not your mind “

“ And you will see the truth you wish to see “

After that the beautiful girl disappeared. She left her only riddles. She was left alone. She didn’t know where to go. But, it feels like something or someone was calling out to her. Her feet moved forward to see what it was. It was like she was in a trance. As she continues to go to her left, it leads her to another scenery. She found herself in the middle of a flower field. She felt calm and at peace. She snapped back to reality. It was the same as before, but different. The one to the left shows water. The one in front of her shows fire. And the one to the right shows earth. Another silhouette person appeared. But, this time the person was the same girl. 

“ To your left is the sea “

“ In front of you is the volcanoes “

“ To your right is mountain“

A female voice spoke. She was wearing a pink dress. It clung on her body even more.

“ What do you desire ? “

After that the girl disappeared. The girl didn’t know what she was seeking. She only followed where her heart was leading her. Without uttering a word, her desires slept deep within her. She felt the surge of power.
