Chapter 32 - An unexpected guest part II

“ I’ll do anything to get him even if I had to hurt Katrina, the only best friend I have “

She breathed in and out. She was lost in deep thought. She didn’t hear her mother calling out to her.

“ Jocelynn, my dear daughter, are you awake ? “

Her mother called out to her across the house. She snapped back to reality. She heard the voice of her mother.

“ Yes I’m awake. How can I help you mother ? “

The voice stops. She had a feeling that her mother started to feel annoyed. She didn’t wait for her mother to respond back. Her sister went inside her room. She was there. Jocelynn and her older sister both went to her bathroom. She helped her shower. Because, there are other places she couldn’t reach. She knew she was different too. She was born differently as well. She cursed under her breath. She didn’t like being disabled physically. Some parts of her were weak and some parts of her were strong. 

She always tells herself that she didn’t have s*x. She couldn’t have s*x even if she wants to. Not when her body was in a horrible state. After what feels like thirty minutes to her, she finishes her shower with the help of her older sister. She knew she wasn’t a great bestie to Katrina. She doesn’t believe in karma. She’s always thinking about herself and only herself. She doesn’t care about anyone. Since, she had enough of that with her family. She was invisible to her family. Not until she was spending time with him. Her parents finally notice she exists.  

She doesn’t understand why her parents treat her like this. She’s also their daughter. She scoffed at the thought. The thought that her parents told her. 

[inside her mind]

I’m a miracle baby?

It just sounds like my mother didn’t know that.

My father told me that I was an unexpected child.

He told me that my mother didn’t know that I was in her womb.

I was told that she keeps eating ice cream over and over.

But, she never gained weight.

I just don’t know why I’m still alive and breathing.

My parents never told me how I survived.

I was only told that god gave me a chance.

But,  I don’t believe that one bit

The girl sighs. 

“ What’s wrong little sister ? “ says the woman as she helps her get out of the shower.

She didn’t want her little sister to fall down. Jocelynn heard her older sister speaking to her. She tries her best not to roll her eyes at her.

“ Nothing wrong, Ate Jennifer. Just thinking of what I should do at home “

Jennifer nodded at her response. She helped her dry her hair. Since, she knew that her little sister wanted to sleep. After about five to ten minutes, her hair was finally dried up. She left her room. After her older sister Jennifer left her room, she dressed herself up really fast. She wore clothes that made her feel warm. She decides to send a picture of herself to the guy she has feelings for. She didn’t care if someone found out about the picture. She just hopes that her best friend doesn’t find out.

“ I remember every single date that Jerome take me out “

“ He told me he never taken his girlfriend to this place “

“ But, I know that was a lie. He doesn’t want me to find out “

She was starting to talk to herself.

“ I don’t want to lose my only bestfriend which is Katrina “

“ But, I also don’t want to give up my love for Jerome “

“ Even if I have to act like an innocent and good person who doesn’t know anything “

She was thinking to herself out loud. She did want to lose the only friend she had. She was the only one for her. She doesn’t feel remorse at all. She wants Katrina to be oblivious to everything. She didn’t blame herself for what causes her bestie to be like this. 

Meanwhile in Jerome’s household

Jerome’s POV

I have dated Katrina Sawyer for a long time. But, for her she only remembers dating me since 2016. It’s my fault she’s like this. All the horrible things I did to her behind her back. This is my karma. I took away the only thing she had. She believes me. She trusted me. But, what I did to her will never forgive me. I remember all the bad things. The one thing that causes her to forget some parts. The parts that affect her. And gave her trauma. Will I be able to redeem myself for this? I don’t think I will. Not when Jocelynn Johnson, the bestfriend of my girlfriend, messages me. It was my fault to make her believe I like her. It was my fault to lead Jocelynn on.

I do love Katrina with all my heart. But, my body was lusting over Jocelynn. However; she told me she can’t have s*x with me. Because, when she told me how she was born; it made me feel sorry for her. And I didn’t want Jocelynn to kill herself. So, in the end; I’m secretly dating Jocelynn behind her back. Will this hurt my girlfriend more than yes it would hurt Katrina more. Since, Jocelynn and my lover, Katrina are childhood best friends. I don’t want to remember all those bad things. I-i’m sure Jocelynn feels bad about it. It’s Katrina we are talking about. I didn’t want history to repeat itself. Not after learning about another beautiful girl. 

The girl whom my male friends tell me about. I think her name was Acadia Braxley. I don’t think I could live by myself if I ended up hurting both two girls in my life. Will I get karma for hurting someone I love? Perhaps. I do have insecurities. The fact I’m more afraid of is my girlfriend, Katrina leaving me.

Jerome was in deep thought. He heard a notification sound from her phone. He looked through it. And there in his text message, he didn’t want to open it. Because he knew there’s no turning back. He knew he had a girlfriend. But, he couldn’t stop it. It was so addicting for him. However; even when he was dating Katrina Sawyer; he didn't know the actual truth. The truth of who Katrina Sawyer really is. He doesn’t know that. Nor does her best friend Jocelynn know that. Would they find out about her? A. Who knows?

A moment of silence filled the air. Jerome thinks to himself. He picked up his phone. He clicked his text message. 

Did you like the photo of me that I sent you ?

uh.. am I supposed to look at it? I don’t want my girlfriend to see it.

Who cares? You’re with me now. She doesn’t need to know.

You have to care. What will happen when she gets her memories back ?

Please like that won’t stop me from having you. She believes me.

After he texted Jocelynn back and forth, he decided to play video games. He put the tv on. He plays a game on his Xbox game console. He starts playing Call of Duty. It was the only thing that helped him feel relaxed.

… MEANWHILE …

[BACK TO THE WALE’S FAMILY HOUSEHOLD]

The six men that came into the Wale’s house were being extra talkative. Because Amelia won’t allow them to be quiet. Davina checks up on her cousin. 

“ Are you alright, cousin ? You seem extra quiet today “

She waits for her response. She could sense worry on her face. She sighs.

“ I’m alright cousin. It’s just this inkling feeling in my heart “

“ Something doesn’t feel right “

The girl sighs. The girl doesn’t understand why she keeps having dreams. A dream that shows her and another person. It was heartbreaking. In every dream she had, it would always show a man cheating on her.  She wants to know why. She wants to find the answer. It keeps clouding her mind. The girl sighs over and over.

“ Davina, those six men who are they ? They felt awfully familiar to me “

Davina made an o shape forming in her lips. She glanced back at the six men. Then she looked at her cousin. She could tell there’s tension in the air.

“ Let’s find a little cousin. Maybe one of them would be your mate “

Davina didn’t hesitate to say what’s on her own mind to her cousin. She watches any reaction from her. She cannot tell if her cousin is blushing. The light in the living room was so dim. She grasps her fingers onto her cousin’s fingers. They are holding hands. She gently pulled her cousin back to Amelia.

“ Oh there you guys are. You’ve been missing a lot  “

Amelia says to her sister and cousin. She could tell something is bothering her cousin. She starts to breathe in and out. She’s trying to calm herself down.

“ Ooo what happened ? “

Davina stared at her twin sister in her face. They made eye contact. Without no words to explain on Amelia’s part, Davina understood. She also breathes in and out. She looked over her own shoulder. Her cousin was quiet. And this wasn’t how she was. She looks back to Amelia. She looked back at her. They both nodded together. The three girls walked in front where the others were. When they came back, the six men’s faces lit up like a Christmas tree. It was adorable to see.

“ Hello my lady, my name is Darwin Rose. I am the future alpha of Diamond Rose pack. I’m also the son to Mr. and Mrs. Rose  “

A tall, dark and handsome man spoke. The girl trailed her eyes on him. She starts from head to toe. She could see that Darwin has platinum blonde hair and green eye color with a hint of silver. He was smoking hot. She thought he was a bada*s. A man with a few words. The girl could sense Darwin appears to be a playboy. Darwin made eye contact with the girl. As he looked at her eyes, he could feel the pull of the mate bond. He took a deep breath. The girl was blown away from his beauty. She stepped forward. Darwin took her hands. He gave her a peck of a kiss on her hand.

“ It was a pleasure to meet a beautiful girl as yourself “

Darwin says to the girl. After he kisses the back of her hand, he slowly raises his head. The girl could smell an intoxicating scent coming from Darwin. He had a mixture of scent merging as one. She could scent a blue raspberry flavor. It was as if she’s next to the night sky. For a while, something deep inside of the girl has set her eyes on Darwin. It’s starting to stir within her. Amelia and Davina look at them in a lovely way. They could sense that Darwin is not the only one who set their eyes on their cousin. He steps back and allows the others to introduce themselves to them. Another man stepped up his game.

“ Hey gorgeous. My name is Agustin Maxwell. I’m also an alpha of my own pack. You’ll know about it later “

A tall and handsome man spoke to her. He also could feel the mate bond. He could feel it when he entered the room. He extended his hand towards her. She didn’t hesitate to take it. She felt drawn to him. No explanation of the spark she felt. There was an untenability spark he felt towards her. Davina holds her snicker. It would be rude to laugh at them. But more than anything she wants to tease them.  Agustin gently pulled her towards him. He couldn’t get enough of her scent. It was not only the scent he smelled towards his mate. But, he could smell countless others too. He couldn’t put his finger on it. After a while, he stepped back. 

He took a deep breath. He’s trying his best to control his desire for him. Another man introduced himself to her. Time goes slow where they are. 

“ Hi pretty girl, my name is Elroy Khan. I’m also an alpha of my own pack. But, you will know about it later “

“ And the man next to me is — “

Elroy introduces himself to her. He was about to introduce the person next to him. But, he was cut off. 

“ Hey lovely, my name is Franklin Chan. I’m also an alpha of my own pack. But, you’ll know about it later  “

Franklin and Elroy step back. This time another man stepped forward. He had the same physical appearance as the others. However; their hair style, hair color and eye are different.

“ h-hi m-my n-name i-is Cedrick Sinclair. I’m also an alpha of my own pack. But, you’ll know about it later “

A shy and nervous man spoke out. He also shared his beauty too. It was the first time talking to the opposite s*x. The girl could smell countless intoxicating scents beside Darwin. It’s driving herself crazy. She felt something deep within her is creating chaos. She tries to breathe in and out. Amelia noticed she was about to faint. It was the first time for the twins that their cousin is getting attention from men. Amelia stands to her left. And Davina stands to her right. They each hold her hand. And they both rub the back of hers. It was in circular motions. A familiar person steps forward. Amelia and Davina noticed him.

“ Hi, my name is Brian Wales. I’m—“

Brian introduces himself. But, he stopped himself midway. He noticed someone familiar to him too. He tackled both the twins down on the floor. The girls step back away. The guys had front row seats to see him like this. There were whistles here and there. After a while, Brian introduces the twins to the guys.

“ You guys, I would like you to meet my cousins, Amelia and Davina “

From the introduction, another person heard their name. His face was lit up so brightly.

“ Amelia and Davina, what are you girls doing here ? “

The girls turned to face him. Brian narrows his eyes at him.

“ Augustin you know them “

The twins giggled. 

“ Sorry. This was not known among the others of our kind "

Amelia explained to them. Brian listen to what his cousin has to say.

"  But, Agustin here is -- “

Davina tries to finish what she says to them. But, she was cut off.  She stares at Agustin. The others turned to face him.
