Chapter 23 - Letting them go part I

“ Is this a sign? A sign that humans are being punished “

“ Are we letting them go ? Is that why humans are being punished like this ?“

The flash of lightning came again. But, it wasn’t yellow or white they saw. The lightning turned black. Black was a sign of death. Death that comes from people who have ill intentions. There are other flashes of lightning. But, this one was different. It was black. Black as the night sky. But even darker.  The man starts to scream at the top of his lungs. As the black lightning touches the human’s skin.  It was very strange. It made a sizzling sound. A sound that something is burning. 

It reminds you of acid. If acid were burned into the skin, it would literally make you disfigured. Or worse you would die from it. The wind mostly blew everything away. There was no hiding place anymore. Humans are not protected. A flash of black lightning continues to appear. It touches even more humans. After black lightning, a red lightning appeared. It touches another human. It burned the human alive. Only two lightning appeared. It killed any humans in its path.

After a moment of rest, the lightning stopped once the human’s heartbeat stopped. Zara was safe. The lightning didn’t affect her. All the dead bodies before them were gone. Their flesh was burned. It was like watching a horrible movie. But, in real life. A strange mark appeared on Zara’s forehead. It was reacting to the lightning. Afterwards, she woke up from the nose. She slowly opened her eyes. Once her eyes opened, the force field disappeared along with it. She couldn’t see. It was still blurry for her.

Right before Cedrick, another one was awakened. The mysterious girl was watching Zara. Cedrick was looking at the dead bodies. When the mysterious girl approached Zara who was Rina, Zara was automatically absorbed into the mysterious girl. Zara was attracted to the mysterious girl. Because she knew the identity of the mysterious girl. Rina’s body was back in control for a short time. The mysterious girl has a strange mark on her forehead too. She leaned onto Rina. Their foreheads were touching. It was a sensation like no other.

As the marks on their forehead glowed, so did other marks on both their bodies. The mysterious girl looked down on the girl’s lap. She noticed who the dog was. The dog looks at the girl then looks at the girl in front of him. They look exactly like through appearance. They could’ve passed as sisters. Except different hair colors and eyes. Nevertheless, as Zara is gone; a new one appeared. As Zara was absorbed into the mysterious girl; no one could not see her. Even Cedrick couldn’t. It was as if no one wanted to see the mysterious girl. Not yet anyways.

Cedrick couldn’t see the mysterious girl. Not like he did before. It was because Rina allowed her to be seen. But, since Rina’s body was just an ordinary human. Except for being a vessel of many parts of herself. The mysterious girl whispers into her ear. Close enough for only the girl Rina herself could hear.

“ Rina it’s time to wake up “

“ Zara it’s time to wake up “

The mysterious girl spoke as she roamed her body freely. The mysterious girl has become beautiful. But, each time a flash of lightning appears; her body is starting to show its true light. When both Rina and Zara open their eyes as they meet, their eye colors change into a different tune. Rina stared longingly at the mysterious girl. Their eyes react into one. The mysterious girl could feel a different aura surrounding Rina’s body. This one was gentle in nature. It was as if the gods had run down to earth. The light appeared in the sky. 

It blessed Rina and the mysterious girl. They both heard the voices of the gods. Their decisions were made. It was now time for someone to reply to the messenger. The light particles transform into the heavenly embodiment. The one who helps the human souls passes through the gate of heaven or the gate of hell. The heavenly embodiment transforms into a god-like human form. One was a woman and one was a man. One was petite in structure. One was buff in a rip yet tight muscle. 

One had white hair and the other had black hair. As they opened their eyes, they glanced at the floor. The floor was nothing but burning ashes of human scatters. With the lift of their fingers, the humans die. But, the souls of humans who die lingered.

“ The agony and the soul of the decease“

“ The human souls that lingers will be judge by two people “

The man and woman spoke in unison. Behind them was another. Beside the woman with white hair was a man with white hair as well. Beside the man in black hair was another woman with black hair. They both came to see. The other two came into the center. They would be the one to decide the fate of the dead souls of humans. Two more sets of people appeared. These two were the gatekeepers of heaven and hell. Their eyes were to remain close. They could sense another presence. 

Rina sat up straight. She stares at them. She wonders who they are. She didn’t speak. It was as if she lost her voice. Because of the incident that took her innocence. The incident that took her happiness. The incident that broke her to pieces. The mysterious girl sat next to Rina. She placed her hand on top of Rina. She reassures her that everything will be okay. The six people standing before Rina and the mysterious slowly opened their eyes. They made eye contact. Without a doubt, they bow their heads at them. 

It was a beautiful thing to see. They didn’t hold back. They knew who Rina and the mysterious girl were. There wasn’t anything to deny. With the lift of Rina the girl’s hand, they felt more wandering souls. It still lingers onto the earth. They shake their heads. The wandering souls stand before Rina and the girl. The souls were fading from staying on earth for too long. Rina stared at the souls. The girl looked at her. She understood what Rina wanted to do. Even when Rina couldn’t say it. The girl places her hand on top of the fading soul. 

She gestured her hand around it. In that instant, the soul that was about to fade became renewed. Renew in life. It transforms into something magical. A miracle. A hope in the eyes of others. The cleanse of the faded soul became apparent. Four feet stands. It stares at Rina and the girl.

“ Don’t be afraid little one “

“ We won’t hurt you “

“ You can’t stay here on earth “

“ We don’t want you to be eaten by the darkness “

“ We cannot allow evil monsters to roam the earth “

The mysterious girl gestured to the two boys. The two boys raise their heads as they. Their eyes were clear as day. It was shining with bright hope. They didn’t say anything. They listen to them. They smiled. They nodded at each other. The two boys walk towards the six people. It was time to let them go. The two boys cannot stay any longer. They were too weak. They were left alone. Whoever made them like this shouldn’t have a good life. The two boys stand in the center. The man and woman judge the two boys. 

The light appears towards the two boys. A yellow halo appeared above their heads. A flash of light lingers onto the two boys. The man and woman with white hair were pleased. The two boys were good kids. They don't lie nor do anything bad. They have another chance in life. The two boys will be able to reincarnate once again. The girl kept in mine in finding the person who made these two boys suffer. They suffer alone and die alone on their own. With just that, the girl nodded in the direction of the people with white hair. 

The gatekeeper of heaven was opened. As they stood close to the gate, they were blessed with new determination. Their attire changes to something new. Their wings appeared shiny as ever. The two boys wave at the girls. They entered the gate back to heaven. Where God will be able to give these boys a place to call home. The gate of heaven is closed. What’s left are other human souls that need to be judged. The souls were afraid to transform back to their human self.

After a while, it went really quick. After the six people judge the humans; they all vanish back to where they came from. The lights were still there for a moment. Rina’s hair and eye color changes color. The light was easily absorbed into Rina’s body. Her hair color was silver-white and her eyes were white. It was the after effect of the white light. The light vanished. When the light vanished, Cedrick came. He stands before Rina. He hugged her tightly. He didn’t want to let her go. He gently picked her up in bridal style.

A new scent lingers on her. Cedrick recognized the scent. He gently places her on the floor. Rina stands on the floor. It had an enchanting flavor. It was a fresh morning dew and peppermint honey. His eyes turned golden brown. It was a reaction that he too found his mate. But, his mate was within Rina. Darwin already found his mate within Rina. Can you guess who it was? If you don't, that's okay. Time will tell.

“ You’re awaken “

Cedrick spoke. He went down with one kneel. He grabs her hand near him. He rubs the back of her hand. It was a gentle touch. He lifted his head up to face her. Their eyes met. She opened her eyes. It was an electrifying touch. They couldn’t take their eyes off each other.

“ MATE “

The voice spoke out. The voice was gentle and calm. Cedrick smiled. He was happy that she was back. 

“ Do you remember who I am ? “

Cedrick says as he looks at her. He stared at her in a loving way. The girl shook its head. Cedrick frowned. But, that didn’t stop him. He still holds on to the feeling. A feeling that he would be reunited with his love. He didn’t let her go. The girl smiled at him gently. Her hair was a very loving color. It was the color of the moon. It was silver-white. It wasn't granny hair for sure. It was also long. It touches the floor. Her hair felt alive. It knew what she wanted. Her hair moves inches. It automatically styles the hair on her head. 

It was in a round bun shape. It kind of reminds you of this anime. This anime was called Sailormoon. This hairstyle reminds you of Serena Tsukino. A girl who was a sailor moon. But, she was also the moon princess in the show. The girl gracefully courtesy Cedrick. She slowly helps him stand up. Her outfit changes its taste. This time the girl was wearing a dress rather than a skirt. The dress was the purest color. It was a silver-white dress. It sparkles through easily. Cedrick extends his hand at her. She accepts.

The shaking they felt earlier disappeared. Cedrick takes his time in walking. He wanted to walk at the same pace as the girl. Even the girl resides in Rina’s body. Cedrick shows her where the others were. She could see within Rina’s eyes. Cedrick lets her knock on the door. She complies. She knocks the door gently. It was like she was doing a secret code. 

“ Who is it this time ? “

Wilson heard a soft knock. It was different from the others. The others were not on high alert. They could recognize a new scent. And they could sense Cedrick’s smell too. Her eyes twitch at the sight. Her face didn’t move. She didn’t leave her eyes at the other men in front of her. Cedrick was behaving strangely. There was no slight remark. It was as if he was tamed. The girl sighs. She frowned. No one answered the door for her. Cedrick felt her pain. He sighs. He knocked this time. Wilson recognized the knock.

“ Come in “

Wilson spoke as the others turned around. They want to see who it was. They recognize Cedrick's knock. The girl was shy. She hid behind him. Cedrick didn’t let go of her hand. The other five had smiles plastered on their faces.

“ Ah the hime is awake “

Brian felt the aura. He bowed down to her. The other four followed what he did. The girl places her hand on Cedrick’s arm. He looked back at her. He turned to face her slightly. He was giddy. His face was flush as a tomato from ear to ear. As Cedrick comes forward, the girl glances to the side. He came within a close range. Mr. Maxwell and Mr. Sinclair felt it too. They shot themselves up off the chair. 

“ Wilson I would like to introduce you to a lovely lady “

Mr. Sinclair gestured them forward. He extended his hand towards her. She looked at the others. They nodded at her. They were telling her it was alright. These two are safe. They are friendly. She shakes her head. She frowned. Cedrick faces towards her. He bent forward. He touches her forehead. He gazed at her beautiful eyes. She didn’t blink her eyes. She was staring at him too. After a few minutes, she felt comfortable and relaxed. 

“ Ah hime is very shy it seem “

Mr. Sinclair was overjoyed at the sight. Mr. Maxwell was over the moon. It was a blessing for them to witness a miracle. She came out of hiding. He waited. And the waiting was worth it. She accepts his hand. She placed her hand on top of his hand. He helps her walk forward. She walks gently. He was standing next to her right. Mr. Maxwell was standing to her left. She lifted her skirt up a little. 

“ Hello there Wilson. I have heard great news about you “

The girl spoke in a gentle and soothing voice. After the little interaction, Wilson was awed at her beauty. She was courteous in front of him. It was a sign of respect. Wilson gulped at her. She heard him making a sound. She was pleased. The man tries to resist her charm. He didn’t want to make a move. Because he was a married man. The girl could sense that too. She didn’t go further in. Wilson glanced at the two men facing him. Mr. Maxwell nodded his head. He knew who the girl was. It was second nature to him.

“ This is Aurora, our jokattal  “

Mr. Maxwell spoke. Aurora lightly hit his arm in a playful way. Wilson couldn’t understand Korean. It was better that he didn’t.

“ I assume she’s your daughter then ? “

Wilson made a mistake. They stayed quiet. Aurora giggled at the male human before her.

“ Think as you may “

Aurora spoke to the man. Wilson noticed the girl was different. She had silver-white hair and white eyes. It was as if it looked picture perfect. Like she was made of porcelain. She had great mannerism. She was polite. 

“ I am here to pass a message “

Aurora finally said after a short moment of silence.

“ A message ? “

The others were surprised at the thought of it.

“ Yes, this was more concerning. You all were wondering about Adrian Taylor “

“ I could tell you are all frustrated at the thought “

Aurora spoke. She shook her head at what they mentioned earlier. She could see it through and through. The dog that was with Zara earlier was with her. They didn’t notice the husky puppy dog. She pet the husky. She wasn’t holding one before. But, it appeared at her hand. Well more like the dog shows itself to them. It was the will of the ‘ great one ‘.  The term was emphasized. Their faces were shocked. More shocked was Wilson.
