Chapter 13 - The Unreasonable part I

    A tall, dark and handsome man asked her. He spoke to her in Korean.

        “gauge da malhalyeoneun geonga? Neohuideul-li sanghwang-eul deudgobogo issdaneun geol al-a. wae wassni? samchon-i neoleul yeogilo bonaess-eo? “ [Is that all you’re going to say ? I know you guys heard and watched this situation unfold. Why did you come? Did uncle send you here?]

    She asked them. They all face her. And they nodded at her. She sighs.

        “ keun! tto daleun dutong-i chugadoeeossseubnida. ttohan-i ingandeul-eun sunjinhabnida. teughi geudeul-ui bumo. seolmyeonghaji anhgo naega nugunji al-ayahabnida. naneun naj-eun peulopil saenghwal bangsig-eul seonhohabnida. geuligo sogeum-eul cheomgahaji masibsio. hajiman samchon-eun cham-yeohal su issseubnida “ [Great! Another headache added. And also these humans are naive. Especially their parents. They should know who I am without me explaining it. I prefer living a low profile lifestyle. And not to added salt; but uncle as to get involved].

    Others frowned. They also agreed that these humans in front of them are naive. They would start to argue to get what they want. They didn’t know that they messed with the wrong person. Now, Rina has to calm her uncle. He won’t be a happy camper when he sees her bruises up for no apparent reason. Even worse, he would make anyone’s life a living hell if he knew. To the point that everyone would be aware of them anytime soon. And she won’t have to live a normal life again. Rina is a nickname for Katrina.

    She didn’t want others to hear the name her parents gave her. The parents that raise her as if she was their own. She sighs over and over. She was snapped back to reality. She heard from the boy standing in front of her.

    A boy who’s about 5’2 “. He was the same height as Rina, but shorter. He had dark brown skin color. The color that reminds you of chocolate. His hair style was faux hawk. He had freckles across his face. He had red hair and hazel green eyes. He was wearing tight ripped jeans. The jeans were navy blue. He was also wearing a grey t-shirt with white stripe. And he was wearing a dark grey hooded jacket with zippers and a hood. He was smiling at Rina. He was the only one to speak to Rina informally. And he was also her friend too. 

    She shakes her head from side to side. She was supposed to live a normal life. She was supposed to do that, while she was still going to college. But, now the situation has changed. She feared what her uncle would do. She just hopes her uncle doesn’t consider this war on the human race. Even though she’s also part of the human race. However; in her case; her uncle doesn’t think she is. Since, she is the first ever among many to be. It was a creation between species. It was supposed to save the human race. But, it backfired on them.

    Rina thinks she’s human. If she was supernatural then she doesn’t know which. And if her uncle thinks she’s the first in many centuries. Then, war is coming to the human world. Her uncle keeps tabs on her whereabouts and actions. Her uncle knows about her everyday life. He also knows that the person whom Rina is dating isn’t her mate. She stopped thinking too deeply. She watches things unfolded. Acadia’s parents are still yelling, screaming, accusing, threatening her.

        “ You can’t do this to us. We are wealthy. You should fear us instantly “ says Mrs. Braxley as she raises her voice at Rina without knowing who she is, while Mr. Braxley knows exactly who she is.

    Rina held her head high. She stands there like a boss queen. Even though she’s still bleeding from head to toe. But, she’s not quite human in this case. She could easily heal faster than a human. However; she doesn’t want others to know yet. Not until they gain their trust in her.

        “ hmm.. really? You’re so wealthy Mrs. Braxley? Should I bow to you oh great one “ says Rina as she emphasized what she spoke to her, while her friends tried to hold their laughter, but they failed to do so.

    The police officers try not to laugh either. They were supposed to just stay professional. They just cough a couple of times to block themselves from laughing. Soraya’s friends wondered what’s going on. The same mysterious girl that watches over Rina appeared. She stands next to her. Her aura is as powerful as Rina. But, twenty times more. Those who could see her are lucky. They just stay quiet. The girl felt her pain. So, she appeared to stand next to her and help her. Except no one could see her. She could heal her wounds with just one touch.

    The mysterious girl didn’t nothing. She waits until Rina is alone. At the moment, she saw her being surrounded by stupid humans.

        “ Yeah you should bow down to us. We are rich and wealthy. We are also powerful too. We could make you disappear like a rat “ says Acadia’s mother as she snicker at the thought.

    Rina rolled her eyes. She could tell that Acadia’s mother has the same intelligence as her. Except, she is beautiful. But, her brain is not awake. Acadia also starts laughing. No one around them is laughing.

        “ Then, Mr. Braxley. Do you accept this behavior from your wife? Or do you want us to take this to court? Your call ” as Rina narrowed his eyes at him, since he’s the only one who didn’t downgrade her.

        “ Not only does your daughter wish to kill me. But, she even bruises me. Do you think this would be taken lightly “ as Rina stared at them coldly and furiously when she held her wrist.

        “ You should also understand the law as well. Mr. & Mrs. Braxley. That it's against the law to take pictures of others without their consent. You know that don’t you? “ says Rina as spew venom into her words as she gently yet calmly smiles at them.

        “ And you Mrs. Braxley; if you assume you’re wealthy and rich. Then the high society such yourself should be aware of who I am. Without me or your husband explain it to you “ says Rina as she sighs and rubs her temples to calm her down, since she doesn’t want to grow gray hair at a young age yet.

    Acadia and her mother stop laughing.

        “ I did warn you right here and right now. Don’t say I didn’t otherwise “ as Rina could tell her uncle would be coming here very soon, since he would whenever anyone says his name.

    Mr. Braxley’s eyes widened. He knows what’s going on. Acadia’s mom wasn’t aware yet. And Acadia herself was confused. More like she’s calling Rina’s saying a bluff. She doesn’t believe her. As for Jerome’s mom; she wasn’t aware. Nor did she notice that Rina was dating his son. And that his son doesn’t know who she was either. It was best that he didn't know. Because, her and her families had many enemies. Not much on having humans as enemies though. This would be the first.

        “ Honey. I think you should lay it off. You shouldn’t make things worse. Remember? The place I work at? “ says Mr. Braxley as he tries to calm the situation down while not angering his wife at the same time.

    Rina starts to smirk. Her friends also start to smirk. They knew that Acadia’s father got the idea of who she was. It was kept hidden in high society anyways. No one knows about it yet. It wasn’t time for everyone to know. They would announce it when it is the right time. But, Rina was still going to college. She needs to finish her education. The twins, Ren and Ron got the gist of it. He remembers his parents telling them about it. More like they have seen Rina as a child before. But, they don’t remember.

    Mrs. Taylor shakes her head.

        “ Why are you guys afraid ? What can one girl do to us ? She’s just a brat. She has no power to do such a thing. It’s not like she’s the president “ says Jerome’s mother as she’s being immature and not handling it well.

        “ hmm.. that does sound nice. I would like to be a president someday. But, I don’t want to take it away from the current president of your kind “ says Rina as she rubs her chin at the thought of it.

    Her friends could imagine her being president. It does fit her image. But, she doesn’t want to abuse that kind power from a human government.

        “ Fat chance. You’re too ugly. No guy would want to date you. You’re even fat. And no guy wants to date you isn’t that right my son, Jeremy. You would always tell me that she was “ says Mrs. Taylor as she brought her ‘ son ‘ into this conversation.

    Her friends growl at them. They roar at the top of their lungs. Their faces  suddenly changed into furious and vicious as a lion and a snake combined. Others who are watching flinched at the sound. The police officers stayed quiet. They are very afraid. They are afraid that Jerome’s mother made it really worse for both of them.

        “ Really? Is that all you think of me? I was going to be lenient to you Jerome and Acadia. But, it seems like both your mother doesn’t agree “ 

        “ I would also allow you to face others with your head high. But, it seem like you don’t care about your reputation it seem “

        “ No let me rephrase that. It seems like you don’t want to keep your job. Don’t you think so, Mr. Taylor and Mr. Braxley “

    Their faces drop. Their jaw was hanging as it was open.

        “ Mr. Taylor and Mr. Braxley. When you see your boss later or whenever you go back to work. Please let them know I say ‘ hi ‘ “ as their wives’ faces were priceless at the same time Rina took her baby gloves off and she became a vicious venom as a black widow.

    The men frown. They start to tremble. They also start to fidget. She faces the police officers. Her face was cold and pale like a vampire. The police officers didn’t cough. Their faces turned serious. They nodded. She turned to face Jerome’s friends.

       “ By the way, don’t even try to persuade me. Don’t even tell me it’s unreasonable on my part “

     “ You were his friends. You guys had the chance to stop him “

   “  Let me ask you this; if this happen to you; would any of your friends stop you “

  “ I see your facial expression answers it all don’t you think so Oliver, Oscar, Orion, Owen, Oswaldo, and Omar “

    “ Here in this situation;  you didn’t stop him from having him put his hands on me. Attack me. Hurt me. To the point where he also choked me. Isn’t that already enough ? “

    Oliver and his friends shake their heads. Mrs. Taylor stops hugging her son. She walks and walks to Rina.

        “ Did your mother teach you to respect your elders ? You b*tch! You sl*t! You wh*re! “ says Jerome’s mother as she calls her many names.

        “ I’ll warn you here and now. Leave my son alone. Or I will take you to court “ says Mrs. Taylor as she slapped her face really hard that she might have broken her tooth.

    Rina sighs.

        “ Ooo is that threat Mrs. Taylor. If you did take this to court; would you be able to win against me. You’re already making it difficult for your husband there along with your son “ as Rina points out to her about her husband.

    Rina took a deep breath. She could tell that things are getting worse. She is trying to calm it down slowly. But, it escalated to this point. She could also tell that her uncle is here. She could tell he was watching from a far away.

        “ Mrs. Taylor be reasonable. You’re setting a bad example for others around you. And since, you hit me; you would also be in jail with your son as well. I could; but.. “

    Before Rina could finish what she says; Mrs. Taylor continues to downgrade her. She even continues to yell, scream, argue, accuse and threaten over and over. Mrs. Braxley did the same. Both of them gang up on her. Yeah! This is fun, not really. The police officers that were there didn’t want to interfere or make it worse. They didn’t have to. Their job was to arrest Jerome and Acadia. After a few minutes of them beating up Rina over and over; she starts to cough off blood. Acadia was excited. 

    On cue, a loud boom sound of an explosion. Along with a loud roar of a tiger. And a flash of lightning echoes through the mall. They turned around. In a split second, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Braxley were shoved really hard. To the point they both fell from their butt. A boy appeared at the same age as Rina. He had the same physical appearance as her. But, he was very handsome like a god. He helped Rina up. Another group of people in black suits appeared. They run after the boy.

    Oliver and Oscar’s eyes widen in shock. The boy looks exactly like Rina. Acadia thought Jerome was rich. Because of his clothes. But that was far from it. The boy looked over Rina. He saw a lot of bruises on her. And also he smelled blood being spilled. The blood belongs to Rina. His facial expression changes into a cruel and ruthless person. He grit his teeth.

        “ Do any of you know what you have done ? Do you have a death wish ? “ says the boy’s bodyguard with orange hair and grey eyes, speaking to them in high voices.

        “ You have angered our young master “ as another bodyguard with green hair and blue eyes for the boy spoke afterwards.

    A scowl appeared in their faces. Rina couldn’t speak. It was too painful for her to talk. 

        “ You’re taking this too far. And you four are parents to Jerome and Acadia. You all are adults so act like one “ says another bodyguard with blue hair and golden-brown eyes of the boy.

        “ Since, you two ladies have ganged up on her; you two will pay the consequences. Rina has no weapon on her. And you attack her knowing well that she was harmless “ says another bodyguard with blonde hair and icy blue eyes of the boy.

        “ If anything happens to Lady Rina; you will surely pay. We will make your life a living hell. You guys already dug your own grave to the point where you can’t go back. Isn’t that right Mr. police officers “ as another bodyguard with platinum blonde hair and green eyes of the boy appeared showing disgust to humans.

        The police officers nodded in agreement. The police officers know that they cannot win. As they have a lot of evidence pointed at them being guilty as charged. It is against and out of reach for Rina to help out. The boy helps Rina stand. Her guy friends were behind her holding her so she wouldn’t fall. She did countless sign languages to them. Since, she couldn’t speak after what Jerome’s mother and Acadia’s mother did. The rest of the audience that watches left the scene.

Rina’s body aches and is sore. Obviously, she has a couple of broken bones and ribs. The bodyguards were about to do something to them, but the boy spoke.

        “ Don’t! That’s enough “ the boy finally spoke out. His voice was broken and in pain for what they did to his beloved, Rina.

    Rina places her hands on his arm. The boy turned around. He caresses her cheeks. She flinched from the touch as she was in total pain. She raises her neck slowly to make eye contact with the boy. The boy looked at her.
