Chapter 37 - Should we worry ? part I

But, the body of humans would be the one to pay the price. It would take a toll on them than the mind. So, they didn’t have any of it. The three boys know about it. They stayed quiet for a moment. Until, Octavian and Octavious  breath in and out. They walk towards their brother, Octavius.

“ Brother, what’s going on ? “

Octavian spoke out. There was frustration in his voice.

“ Why aren’t people moving ? “

Octavious pointed out everyone in sight. 

“ Should we worry ? “

The two boys said it at the same time. The girl couldn’t stop giggling over their reactions. The two boys heard a soft and angelic voice. They try to look for it. But, they didn’t have to do it like that. It was right in their view. The girl continues to gaze at them in a loving way. Like how she would look at them as if they were mother and son. She shook off the thought. She became sad as she frowned from it.

“ I’m sorry. I think I’m the cause of it “

The girl spoke as her voice was cracking from it. They could hear the girl’s voice sound broken. They took a deep breath. They shake their heads.

“ Don’t be sad. Turn that frown upside down “

Octavian’s heart felt sad for her. Even though he doesn’t know who she was. The girl lifted her head up. She was staring at them in their eye level. She gave out a small smile that spread from her face. The girl placed her right hand over her heart. She could tell her heart is beating fast. She took a deep breath to calm down.

“ You boys are such a gentleman. Whoever date you would be very lucky “

The girl spoke out. She rubs her chin back and forth. She was thinking. She nodded at herself. She found determination.

“ I can do this “

The girl says as she whispers to herself. But, the three boys could hear it. If they weren’t werewolf; they wouldn't hear what she says. They noticed that the girl wasn’t touching the floor. It appears that she was floating in the air. She glanced at the people. She starts to frown.

“ If only that human stops fooling around then she wouldn’t feel this pain “

The girl mumbles under her breath. She could see the human. She could recognize the two humans as Jocelynn Johnson and Jeremy ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter.

“ Please, you must help me. I need to reverse everything back to normal “

“ A future will be destroyed and change if someone tries to change it “

The girl spoke in a serious tone. Her eyes were pleading. Octavian saw it. There was a single tear that sparks in her eyes.

“ What do you mean ? Could you elaborate for us ? “

Octavious pointed out. Octavius also asked as well. Octavian tilt his head to the side looking confused.

“ Yes, we all should be worried. Not when it concerns the will of the others “

The girl sighs over and over. She starts to frown.

“ We must unite the people as one “

“ One mind and one body. The creation of hope lies within one particular person “

The girl spoke in riddles.

“ Please you must FIND her. The person who is a singularity. The one who changes the outcome of others in a blink of an eye “

After the girl spoke her opinion, she disappeared once more. And time went back to moving. Time was unfrozen. People move around as if nothing happened. The three boys couldn’t decipher what the girl meant. Who was HER ? Who was the singularity ? Who would change the outcome ? Those questions plague their minds over and over. They want to know who it was. But,  all they did was sigh. After a moment of silence, the people who saw Jerome with Jocelynn start to question him. 

The others who knew that Jerome already had a girlfriend. They decide that they want Jerome and Jocelynn to have karma. They did what they thought it was best. They post videos of them in every social media you could. For example, f*******:; i********:; Youtube; Snapchat; Twitter; etc. Because, social media was quick and painless. It was weird. Jocelynn knew that Jerome’s parents would like her. Well more like Jerome’s ‘ mother ‘. There was a slight smirk hidden in Jocelynn's face. 

She likes getting all the attention. But, she didn’t know that there are people who know her best friend. And she has received karma thousands of times. In the same time and place, Jerome doesn’t care if people watch them. He thought he didn’t do anything. So, he did what he thought was best. He turned around. He saw Jocelynn’s face. Her face was sad as if she was pouting at him. And he swore he saw a tear coming out of her eyes. He was not good with ladies who cried. It was his weakness. He sighs in defeat. 

He rubs the back of his head in frustration. He shrugged and continued his merry way. He approached her slowly. She looked up gazing at him. She saw fear in his eyes. Fear that he would get caught cheating on his own girlfriend. He doesn’t want to lose his girlfriend. She knows what she did was wrong. But, she cannot resist his charm. If anyone asks her, why she loves Jerome. Then her simple answer would because he’s nice and he doesn’t say no. She could stop craving for his lips. She wants to feel his warmth. She desires to kiss him.

She was shy, showing any affection. Because, she would be afraid. Afraid that she would see someone. Someone who is friends with her best friend. Or worse, someone who is related to her best friend. She sighs. She watches Jerome approaching her. She forgot how to breathe. She ignores all the sounds around her. It was only just her and him nothing more. 

“ I can’t believe I’m doing this “

She whispers to herself.

“ I cannot lose my best friend over a guy “

“ But I think I love him “

“ Would it sound crazy if I was totally obsessed with him ? “

She sighs as she mumbles under her breath.

“ I want to have what my best friend have “

“ She has a family who love her “

“ And I am a nobody and invisible in my own family “

She looked down on the floor. She saw his shoes in front of her. She knew she was closer to her. She’s afraid to look at him. She would be afraid that when she looked at him again; she would lose all reason. Reason to stop whatever she was feeling for him. She doesn’t like to share. She wants to have him all to herself. The only way she could do that was having her best friend GONE in the world. She wanted her best friend to die in a way. She starts to feel horrible thinking like this.

“ Should I be worried ? “

She thought to herself in her mind. She couldn’t shake off this feeling. She feels like she’s out of place. She feels like she shouldn’t be here. She feels like she shouldn’t have a second chance. She wants to know why she was saved. When in reality; she knew she was supposed to die. And. Yet her parents never told her the reason why she was saved. Was there a secret her parents knew and she didn't? Did her parents promise someone to save her? If that was the case, what did her parents promise ? Endless questions after questions engulfed her mind. 

“ Look at me Jocelynn “

“ I won’t hurt you. You do know that right ?  “

Jerome sighs as he speaks to her in a calm voice. She raised her head up. She was now at the same eye level as him. Even though she feels like she’s small. While he was tall. As they made eye contact, she thought she felt the world stop. It was only for a short moment. She was in the cafe where everyone was looking at her. Without any warning, strange things happened when she was here. It should feel weird. However; for her she felt very afraid. The lights at the mall on target suddenly turned off on its own.

 Everyone gasps at the sudden turn of events. She swears she heard a creepy song playing around her. The air grew intense. When the lights turned on, all she could see was blood everywhere. She screamed. There was blood on her face. And when everyone turned to see what the commotion was. There was hissing and whispering here and there. She found herself holding a knife. She didn’t have one before. She saw that people were injured because of her. Even the employees near the cashier were hiding. 

She was the only one left alive. She was cursing Bloody Mary. She checks to see what’s going on. And when she looked in her direction, she started to scream. 

“ I-I d-d-don’t  w-w-want to d-d-die “

The female employee says as she stutters. She was afraid. She was afraid of Jocelynn.

“ S-s-stay a-away f-f-from m-m-me “

The female employee spoke as she noticed her coming closer to her. Jocelynn saw that she was afraid of her. In her eyes, she saw a brunette and brown eyes girl crunching next to the freeze drink. Octavius and the others saw what’s going on. Octavius and the others who were supernatural could feel the intense air. The others who are not supernatural aren’t aware of it. Octavius raised his nose in the air. He could smell foul odor in the air. It smelled like a rotten corpse. Like dead bodies that had their flesh taken off.

And their eyes were poked out of its socket. And the tongue was pulled out from their mouth. A sense of evilness still lingers in the air. It smelled like death was coming. What’s even worse, the blood that was on Jocelynn wasn’t hers. But, the blood that was on the body was hers. This looks like a horrible movie in everyone’s eyes. The ones who witness everything happening in a blink of an eye. People were scrambling around the mall. The ones that stepped away from her. 

They were trembling in fear. To them, Jocelynn looks like a child. Because of her height; she was only four feet and nine inches tall. So, they think she was a minor and still a child. However; she was actually an adult. She wasn’t a child. She wasn’t a teenager. She was just a young adult. She was just 27-years-old. Why do bad things happen when she is around? This didn’t happen before. Unless, it did happen and she doesn’t remember a thing. She didn’t look at anyone. She heard a siren going on and off.

 She thought the police were coming. She didn’t know that someone called for the police. She was shaken in fear. She didn’t know what’s going on. She was lost for the first time. She hears someone shouting at someone.

“ Here police office this is the woman “

She snapped at the direction of the voice. There in front of her she saw about four to eight police officers. They were staring at her as if she was dangerous.

“ Are you serious ? Her ? “

One police officer says in a scoff.

“ Why would a child hurt so many people ? “

Another police officer spoke out. It was supposed to be more to himself. But, others heard it.

“ You’re wrong. That person isn’t a child “

Another voice spoke out, but it was a male voice.

“ She appears as a child, because of her height “

The man spoke out. The police officers heard it. Jocelynn was shocked. Things were getting escalated. She didn’t know how this happened. When the police officers approached her, she stepped back.

“ Don’t move. Stay where you are girly “

Another police officer called out to her. He saw that she was backing away. Each time they came closer; she moved back. She was afraid. Her eyes say it all. But, her facial expression was stone cold. 

“ S-s-stay b-b-back “

Jocelynn’s voice starts to croak. That was the only word she could form. She was afraid. She was the only one there. No one believes her. No one saved her. No one stands up for her. As the police officers step closer, she starts to wave the knife at them. Everyone gasps. They shake their heads. They didn’t believe that she would raise a weapon at a police officer. This means trouble.

“ I-i-i d-d-didn’t d-d-do i-i-it “

She confessed. She knew she was innocent. She couldn’t hear a fly. She did think about wanting her best friend to die. But, she only thought about it. She wouldn’t initiate it. It was a negative feeling she had. This always happens. In her case though, when she doesn’t get what she wanted; she would say things that she doesn’t really mean. She kept saying the same thing ‘ I didn’t do it ‘. But, the police officers sigh. They were frustrated. Things get more escalated. The police officers looked at each other. They both nodded.

“ Drop your weapon “

The police officer that was in her view says. She saw him raising his gun at her. She saw the other three doing the same. The other four were protecting the citizens. And they try to calm them down. She didn’t comply with what the police officers said. It didn’t process right away in her mind. She shakes her head.

“ I won’t repeat myself again “

Another police officer says.

“ Drop your weapons NOW !!! “

Another police officer yells and shouts at her. She didn’t comply again. She steps further back. She had nowhere to go. She tries to back away. But, she couldn’t. Her back was against the freeze drink machine. She had nowhere else to go. She was stuck. The only thing she could do is pretend to kill herself. She raises the knife at herself. Others grasp.

“ Is that lady crazy ? “
