" The way we hear it. It sound like her parents is hiding something from her "
“ Or they know something that Katrina doesn’t know “
Octavian pointed out what he thinks of it. He shrugged at them. He also finds it strange too. But, he cannot interfere with The Sawyer Family. The only one to know who she was was herself. Except she doesn't remember who she was. It was as if she was another person. You know, like having a split personality. That most people would have. Douglas starts to be in deep thoughts. The three boys mind linking themself in private.
" That is strange. Don't you think so elder brother Octavian "
" They also mention the guy's name over and over, Octavius "
" Isn't our little sister dating Jerome, Octavious "
They all sigh. They heard the rumor of their sister dating him. He got it from a friend of hers. But, there were also rumors going around too. A rumor particularly interests them more. One of the rumors was going around saying that Jerome has a secret lover.
" Who dares do that behind someone's back ? "
" I think whoever is Jerome's secret lover got to be the person's best friend "
Octavious pointed out. He had a feeling about it too. And his hunches are never wrong. It's always 100% accurate. They shake their heads in displeasure.
Douglas explained further to their friends.
“ But, I heard from my brother that she was dating Jeremey ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter “
Marina joined in the conversation.
“ I heard it from my brother and his friends “
The guy’s name appeared again. The three boys are now interested in who Jeremy was. The air tense once more.
“ Oh hey Douglas, do you mind if Amelia brings more friends ? “
Nova asked him. She also changed the subject.
“ She can. Why you asked ? “
Douglas turned to face Nova. His eyes were staring at her.
“ She told me that beside her, her sister and her cousin; she'll bring more friends with her. And she was wondering if that would be okay for you Douglas ? “
Douglas nodded at her. He was telling her ‘ yes ‘. Nora’s face lit up like a happy kitty.
Nora texts Amelia right away. Octavious seems worried. He couldn’t shake off the feeling.
“ What’s wrong brother ? “
Octavius spoke in his mind.
“ I don’t know. But, I feel something bad would happen “
“ We should keep an eye on our sister “
Octavious pointed out to his brothers in their mind. They nodded.
“ I’m already on it. I’ll let the others know about it too “
Octavius says to his brother in their mind privately. He sighs. He pretends that he needs to use the bathroom.
“ Hey, I’ll be back. Just need to you know.. Man stuff “
Octavius says. The way he says it also embarrasses himself. But, that was the only way he could think of. The girls giggled. His two brothers were shaking their heads. One of them hit themself with their palm. The others understood. He got out of the seat. Douglas sat with his friend’s brother. It was his way of saving his seat. When no one was looking, he took out his phone. He decided to dial his family about it. As he continued to walk, he bumped into a man. He looked up. He saw a man with another girl. And he glanced at their hands together. He bowed to him to apologize. And the couple walked slowly.
“ Who was that Jerome? He's hot don’t you think ? “
“ Babe, don’t look at any guy but me “
“ But, what about your girlfriend Katrina, does she know about this — “
Ocatvius turned around. He heard someone saying his sister’s name. But, he was confused. The girl that he was with wasn’t his sister. It was another woman. He decided to lean in to hear their conversation.
“ No, Katrina doesn’t know about this — “
Jerome says to the girl. He was using his fingers back and forth. It was a way to identify what he was saying.
“ This isn’t fair. She has to know “
The girl said to Jerome.
“ Why do you care about this again ? I thought this is what you want Jocelynn “
“ I’m already hurting her. She doesn’t know about us “
Jerome and Jocelynn were talking among each other. Octavius recorded every conversation they spoke. His brothers follow what he did. They recorded them in the act. It was the only proof they had.
“ Well yea, Jerome you hid this to your girlfriend, Katrina for so long “
Jocelynn says. She starts to frown.
“ Then what do you suggest Jocelynn? This was your idea to hangout before I meet my girlfriend “
“ It was because of us that Katrina doesn’t remember me ever cheating on her “
“ Nor did Katrina notice anything suspicious with you. Jocelynn, you’re my girlfriend’s childhood best friend. You should know better “
Jerome explained further.
“ Not to add salt, didn’t you also get kidnapped at one point Jocelynn. And you had my girlfriend to save you that day which causes her not remember much of it “
“ And I had to lie to her that I dated her for only one year. When in reality, I dated her longer than you “
Jerome explained.
“ What would happen if my girlfriend found out about us ? “
“ You and I aren’t supposed to happen. I love my girlfriend “
Jerome says to her. He breathed in and out. He was trying to calm her down.
“ Don’t even think about it Jocelynn. Don’t act like you're a victim to this. You’re part of it too “
Jocelynn tries not to frown. It was so hard for her to keep a straight face. Whenever she hangs out with her best friend, she has to pretend like she hates Jerome. But, she doesn't.
“ You did have a choice, Jeremy. You didn’t have to be with me. Was it because I guilt trip you by making you cheat on your girlfriend with me ? “
He stayed quiet. He was stuck between two girls in his life. He really does love his girlfriend. But, he doesn’t want to hurt Jocelynn either. It was so addicting to him to be like this.
“ Then let me ask you this Jerome, what will happen if your girlfriend, Katrina is pregnant with your child ? Would you still be in her life or be with me ? “
“ Don’t do this Jocelynn. Don’t make me choose between my girlfriend and you “
Jocelynn and Jerome were arguing with each other. They didn’t know it would cause a scene.
“ Then you shouldn’t have told my parents that your my boyfriend then “
Jocelynn told him off. He rolled his eyes.
“ Well what do you expect me to do ? Did you want me to say oh hey Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, I’m your daughter’s friend “
“ I know that it would hurt you if I say it like that. You’ll make me look like a bad guy “
Jocelynn shakes her head.
“ It’s not my fault. My parents asked you if you had a girlfriend. You should have told my parents you have one. It wasn’t that complicated “
Jocelynn reveals to him.
“ So you’re saying that I should tell your parents, “ Hey Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, I do have a girlfriend. Her name is Katrina Sawyer. And I’m only friends with your daughter. The kiss doesn’t mean anything “
Jerome explains to her. How is he supposed to tell her parents about the relationship between him and their daughter ? Not when Jocelynn's parents saw them kissing. There was gasp in all directions. Jerome turned around to face the audience. Jocelynn turned around too. There were a lot of grunts. Sound of hissing here and there. There are some people in target cafe here in serramonte shopping mall that recognize Jerome. Not much on Jocelynn though. There are also some people who are friends with Jerome too. Friends whom others haven’t met.
The air was intense. It has started to be awkward. Octavius wasn’t the only one that recorded this conversation. He turned to face the people. He made sure his presence wasn’t known. But, his friends took notice of the commotion. Douglas and the others rush to the scene. They saw Octavius standing against the wall. He was frustrated and sad at the same time. Jerome; on the other hand, he was shocked to see someone familiar to him. Jerome waved at them. Octavius pretends to use his phone.
“ Douglas, what are you doing here ? “
Jerome called out to him. The other two boys were worried about Octavius. They headed in his direction. And they ignore anyone who tries to call them over.
“ Oh hey. You must me Jeremy ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter “
Douglas turned to face a man. A man whom he knows all so well. It’s because his younger brother, Oliver, talks a lot of times about him. He tries to hold his urge to roll his eyes at him. The girls that were with Douglas felt disgusted too. The girls didn’t even give Jerome a glance. The girls went to see Octavius and the other two boys. It was only between him and Douglas.
“ Who’s the beautiful girl ? “
Douglas asked him as he saw him holding hands with her. He vaguely doesn't recognize him. And he had a feeling that the woman wasn't Jerome’s girlfriend.
“ Great another douchebag who are so full of it “
" Worse of all he's the man my cousin is dating "
" What did my cousin, Katrina Sawyer sees in him ? "
Douglas mumbled under his breath. He was frustrated at the sight before him. He saw Jerome with another girl. He couldn’t hear what he said. But, the others heard it. And they laugh and giggle softly.
“ Her name is Jocelynn Johnson “
Jerome introduces her to him. Octavius’s ears perked up. The last name he heard made his ears twitch. He didn’t want to say anything in English. So, he decided to speak his mind in chinese.

Octavius spoke his opinion out in the open. Another voice peer through him. But, the voice was not so gentle.

Their eyes grew wide in shock. This was the first time that Octavius and the others heard about it. He turned to face where the voice came from. But, there wasn’t anyone that matches the voice. The voice spoke again. But, he was the only one who heard it.

Octavius spoke out his opinion as he says this.
" Yes, the ordeal not only almost took the life of her mother, but also herself "
" But, her father and her family prayed everyday for a miracle "

The voice spoke out. This time no one was moving. It was as if time stopped for a breather. In front of him was a beautiful girl standing not that close in a distance. His mouth drops for a split second. The girl giggles at his shocked face.
“ Come now, I’m not a ghost “
The girl spoke out softly.
“ Boys you can stop pretend that you can’t move “
The girl side glanced at the others. Octavius turned to face whom she was talking to. He saw his twin brother, Octavian and his younger brother Octavious. Time doesn’t affect them. So, they could easily move around when time froze. However; his human friends say otherwise. His human friends’ cannot move around when time stops. Since, they aren’t magical nor were they supernatural. His friends were completely 100% human. Because, if they were magical or supernatural, Octavius would know about it. The three boys would easily sense it. And their powers would become strong.
