Chapter 35 - Douglas' friends part I

The girl continues to sleep. Davina sighs.
" I can't just idly stand by doing nothing "
" Our cousins need us. What will happen if she never wakes up ?
Davina spoke out. It was more of herself. But, the others heard her. The doctor turned to face her. He was also frustrated. It's not in his power to help to do too much. Amelia continues to hear their conversation. She walks back and forth. She was pacing around the house. The others watch her. She lifted her phone up. And she decided to text her friends.
Hey Nora, we’ll be a little bit late.
Hey Amelia, what’s wrong?
* sigh * I’m worried about my cousin. She passed out.
After that text, Amelia went back and forth from the bathroom. She helped her dry off her sweat. Meanwhile; on the other side of the city in Daly City; Douglas' friends are chilling in the target cafe at Serramonte Shopping Mall. Douglas was sitting among his friends. He turned to face the girls.
“ What’s wrong Nora? Why the long face ? “
Douglas asked with concern in his voice. The guys also turned to face her.
“ It’s Amelia. She told me she, her twin sister and her cousin would be a little bit late “
Nora answered his questions. She breathed in and out. She starts to frown again. Her twin sister Nova felt her pain. She opened her arms wide. She leaned forward towards her. Then she gave her a hug. Nova could see her twin sister, Nora needed a hug.
“ Hey Nora, have you text our elder brother Orlando yet ? “
Nova asked her. She decided to change the subject. She was hoping this would help. She wanted to see her twin sister smile. Except Douglas turned to look at Nova. This time he tilted his head to the side. He was looking confused.
“ Nora and Nova, I didn’t know you had a brother. Why didn’t you tell us ? “
Douglas asked the twin girls. Nora giggled at his question.
“ Yeah we do have a brother. His name is Orlando Cohen. He’s also friends with Jeremy ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter “
Nora explained further. She explained her relationship with Orlando Cohen. She told her friends that she and her twin sister have an older brother. While they continue spilling more information about her siblings, the others also join in the conversation.
“ Since, we are telling each other about our siblings. Then, I should tell you I also have a younger brother “
Marina confessed. She spoke to her friends about him. She was confident in her younger brother. She knew that her brother wouldn't hurt anyone. This made the boys turn with interest.
“ What’s your young brother’s name ? “
The twin boys turned to face Marina head on. The twins asked her.
“ My younger brother’s name is Orion Blackwell. He also friends with Jeremy ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter “
The three boys start to sigh. That’s the second time they heard that guy’s name. It sounds like they have heard that name too. They hope that nothing bad will happen.
“ Anyone else have siblings that are friends with this guy you mention ? “
The twins asked. This time it was Douglas' turn.
“ I have one. You have met him early. My younger brother’s name is Oliver. He has the same last time ‘ Anderson ‘ “
Douglas pointed out to his friends. His friends nodded at him that they understood.
“ I have a brother too. Well I have twin “
Oskar says to his friends. They turned to face him now. He looked at all his friend’s faces. They all asked the same question. He was proud of his brother. He knew that his twin brother wouldn't say anything bad. Or won’t lay his hands on the opposite s*x.
“ My twin brother is Oscar Beckett. We both have the same name. But, it’s spelled different “
The others understood. It made sense to them. Since, Douglas noticed that his younger brother mistaken him for someone else. Another girl spoke out this time. It was the first time for her to speak.
“ I have a brother as well. His name was Omar Harrison “
A soft voice spoke for the first time. They turned to face her.
“ Hey Olina. Since when did you get here ? You miss meeting with my younger brother “
Douglas explained to her what she missed. Olina nodded to him.
“ I’ve been here. I was sleeping. I guess you guys didn’t notice. Since, I don’t snore when I sleep “
Olina spoke softly. Her voice and laughter was music to anyone. It would make your heart melt. The others were surprised. They weren’t angry anymore.
“ My brother told me they were meeting a friend of his. His friend’s name is Soraya Miller “
Olina explained further. It was cute for her that her brother has a female friend. At least; her brother won’t cause harm to anyone of the opposite s*x. The three boys sigh. They are debating whether to tell others that they also have a sibling. Octavius and Octavian looked at each other. They nodded in agreement. This time they stare at Octavious. Octavious notices their stare. He sighs. He nodded too. The three boys decide to mention their siblings. Maybe this way; they would know who it is. And they can avoid the disaster that would unfold eventually.
“ We three have siblings “
Octavius and Octavian spoke out at the same time. The others turned towards them at the same time. They were surprised. Douglas was more shocked. He was friends with them. But, he didn’t know Octavius had siblings.
“ Come on, guys. It’s not that shocking “
Octavius spoke out to them.
“ Yeah. It’s not that shocking. We just don’t really talk much about them “
Octavian laugh at their friends’ expressions on their faces. He tries to lighten up the mood.
“ So you know how I have a twin brother. And his twin is Octavian “
Octavius explained to them. They waited for their response. He didn’t hear anyone asking questions to them. They heard gasps here and there. That’s about it.
“ Octavius is my twin brother. But, we also have two more siblings too “
Octavian finished after Octavius started. The others nodded at them. They told the twin boys that they understood.
“ Well to be honest, we didn't know if we should mention it "
" Since, we could only tell people who we trust "
" WE don't want anyone to take advantage of us "
" But, you have already met one. His name is Octavious “
Their friend’s facial expression was worth it. The twin boys try not to laugh. It would be rude to do that to their friends.
“ WHAT?!!! “
Octavius’s friends shouted at the same time. Octavious turned to face them. He didn’t say much. He covered his ears. Since, he doesn’t want to get deaf. He keeps hearing his friend’s voice becoming loud each time.
“ We have a little sister “
Octavius and Octavian say to his friends.
“ I have a twin sister “
Octavious pointed out to their friends too.
“ Our sister and Octavious twin sister is none other than —— “
Octavius was about to explain further. But, there were hostile emotions they felt. They looked at their brother, Octavious. He mind links Octavious in private.
“ Should we tell them our sister’s real name or should we just give our sister’s other name ? Since, she is coming here in the human world “
Octavius says through Octavious’s mind. Octavian heard it too. Their mindlink are towards each other. So, no one could hear what they were saying. In public, people would think they are staring at each other intensively. Octavious sighs.
“ We shouldn’t tell them our sister’s real name. Who knows ? Someone might take advantage of her already “
Octavious explained to his brothers. Octavius and Octavian nodded in agreement.
“ Our sister’s name is Katrina Sawyer “
Octavian explained further to their friends. Douglas was more shocked.
“ What? Are you serious ? “
Douglas says in shock.
“ Are you sure you’re brothers to Katrina Sawyer ? “
Douglas stared at them. He was pleading that wasn’t true.
“ Why are you that shocked Douglas ? Do you know her ? “
Octavian says as they ask him.
“ Know her? I know her family. Her family is the ‘ Sawyer ‘ Family “
“ Me and my younger brother Oliver are cousins to their children “
Everyone was shocked even more. Their mouths were forming an ‘ o ‘ shape from their lips. The three boys nodded at Douglas. The three boys weren’t that shocked.
“ Really ? “
The twins asked. Douglas nodded.
“ No one noticed about it. We were told by our parents not to inform anyone about our relationship to Katrina Sawyer “
“ I don’t think her parents will like the attention from it “
Douglas explained further. The way he explained it disgusted him even more. He doesn't know the reason why her parents don't want her to be known.
" Strange. What kind of parents doesn't want people to know that Katrina exist "
Octavius talked out loud.
" Don't you find it strange Douglas ? "
