Chapter 12 - The Unexpected part II

    He was mad that Rina 'cheated ‘ on him while he was in the same mall as her. But, he was with his friends. The situation has made it worse for both Acadia and Jerome. They both could be in jail. Without a second thought, Elroy sends the pictures and videos to their boss. And also send the pictures to Acadia’s parents and Jerome’s parents. Since, this is one of the battles their parents can’t win. The police officers checked on Rina. They place their hands over their heart. They took a deep breath. With just one look, the police officer's facial expression changed. Instead of worry; they were angry. And also fear came into their mind. They knew instantly who Rina was without her explaining it to them.

    Oliver and his friends were watching from the sideline. They were confused. They wanted to know why the police officers were afraid. Afraid when they saw Rina. The police officers didn’t say a word. Rather they stand before her. They bow to Rina as a sign of respect. They did that in front of everyone. Rina’s friends came to her. This time they changed their expression as well. They become protective mode. They surround Rina from all sides to protect her.  Rina taps Brian’s shoulder. He stepped aside to see the police officers. She raises her hands up to them. It was a signal telling them to all rise.

        “ Damn babe, you have one strong grip. And you look like you wanted to kill me “ as Rina held onto her neck to see if there was any purple bruise on it while she coughed a few times.

    She says that to Jerome. He starts to flinch when she calls him babe. The twins had the inkling feeling that this man was her boyfriend. It was a late introduction. But the twins want to introduce them to Jerome and the others to set their minds at peace. Since, the twins knew we had a larger crowd this time.

        “ Hello everyone! I see we have a big crowd “ says Ren as he and his twin brother step forward to protect Rina as well.

    Ron winked at everyone. He saw that some of the police officers were next to Acadia. So, it won’t be hard for her to be arrested.

        “ Yes, older brother. The situation has become worse without thinking ” says Ron as he looked at his older twin at the same time as glancing at everyone.

    The twins shake their heads. They start to hate Rina’s boyfriend. This ‘ Jerome ‘ person that they saw for the first time.

        “ We are the Connor’s brothers “ says Ren and Ron as they do for entertainment and to clear things up. 

    The older twin stepped up and spoke.

        “ Hello everyone and Rina’s boyfriend, Jerome if that’s really your name. I am the older twin. My name is Connor ‘ Ren ‘ Cruz “ as he coolly says his name while looking at Jerome and his friends.

    The younger twin stepped up and spoke too.

        “ Sup, everyone. How are you guys doing tonight ? Especially Rina’s boyfriend Jerome. A man who doesn’t think before he acts. I am the younger twin. My name is Connor ‘ Ron ‘ Cruz “ as he says his name politely while looking disgusted at Jerome and his friends.

    Rina’s guy friends follow through. They wanted to make things as light as possible. They didn’t say their last name.

        “ Hey there, we are Rina’s friends. From left to right, I am Agustin. This is Brian. And the one next to him is Cedrick. And the one next to him is Darwin. And the one next to him is Elroy. And last but not least, this man is Franklin “ as Agustin introduces himself probably. 

    The atmosphere has changed slightly. They weren't afraid nor scared. They just step further away from them.

        “ And we identical twins are friends with Rina. We were having a friendly conversation with each other. We were talking about the old times. Old times as when we used to go to the same high school together along with another friend of ours “ says Ron as he explained it clearly who they are and what their relationships were to Rina when he glanced at every one of them making eye contact.

    The crowds nodded their heads up and down as if they understood. After they winked at them from what really happened, they dispersed away from the commotion. The crowds leave to go and do their own business. They didn’t want to interfere. Since, it wasn’t their business. But, they did it to help a girl from getting hurt.  Rina sighs. She took a deep breath. They could feel the worry and concern from the crowds. She stands tall and elegant. And she faces them head on.

        “ Hello to all. My friends call me Rina when we are closer than friends. But, my name is Katrina Sawyer “ as she politely introduces who she is to everyone who is worried for her.

    Oliver and the others were shocked. This whole time they were calling her Rina. It was a name of being friendly with her. Soraya and her guy friends were already friends with her. They thought that they weren't friends. But, they were wrong. And they made it worse. Except for Soraya. She didn’t do anything wrong. She wanted to become friends with her. Rina sighs. She is debating whether to introduce her boyfriend. Not after what he did to her. But, for argument's sake; it’s best to say it. Since, the twins told the crowd that I have a boyfriend.

        “ And this man is my boyfriend. His name is Jeremy ‘ Jerome ‘ Carter. But if you are very close with him; he would let you call him Jerome to be friendly, “ says Rina as she introduces the man who beat her up as her boyfriend.

    She didn’t care that she said Jerome’s real name. She’s not in the mood for this. She watches Jeremy’s every action. When she says his name, he starts to flinch and groan at the thought. He likes the way she says his name. He still gets a hard on even when he beats her up.

        “ Thank you to each and everyone of you who cares about my well being. Thank you again “ says Rina as she bow to the crowds who were worried and saved her from that near death experience.

    Soraya sighs. She felt like she wanted to tear and cry like a river. Some left. Others stayed. The crowd of people want to know what causes the commotion. They pretend like they are ‘ busy ‘, but still hear their conversations. 

        “ Orion, as your friend and you know I don’t lie. I would tell you this here and now. Rina didn’t cheat on Jeremy “ 

    He just nodded. He looked at her to continue what she had to say to them.

        “ Earlier Rina gave you guys some alone time to hangout with Jeremy, since you haven’t seen him in a long time. So she was being thoughtful for you “

        “ Acadia and I spend our alone time with Rina. Because, for me; I want to really become friends with her. As I get to spend time and get to know her; she is really friendly and she’s willingly to hear me talk “ 

        “ All three of us were looking at store after store. We didn’t buy anything. Since, none of us had money. Well me and Acadia don’t have that much money to spent ”

        “ As we walk and walk just to keep each other company; we bump into someone. Well it’s more like Acadia bump into someone “

    Acadia didn’t say anything. She stayed quiet. She didn’t talk. She made her friend talk for her. Rina shakes her head. What kind of friend does this? Rina sighs. She watched Soraya looking at Arcadia. She wanted her friend to explain her part of the story. But, she didn’t.

        “ As Soraya says, I was talking to her when Acadia bumped into someone. She thought it was a wall. Her facial expression shows it all “

        “ She continues to explore the hard wall. But, I told Acadia that wasn’t a wall. It was a person “

    Rina tries to explain more. But, her lips start to hurt when she tries to continue to talk. The twins took notice of it. And they explain their part of the story.

        “ I was truly sorry. We didn’t see where we were going. I also bumped into someone. As I looked up, we saw Rina with two girls that we weren’t aware of  “ says the older twin, Ren.

        “ I was quiet, so I didn’t voice my opinion. I just watch my older brother talk first. He lifts Acadia’s face up to his eye level. He wanted to see who this girl was, ’ says the younger twin, Ron.

    They both sigh over and over.

        “ We wanted to know who these girls were. So, Rina introduces them to us “  says the older twin, Ren, as he points at the girls, Soraya and Acadia.

        “ My older brother Ren here embraces her in a friendly hug. Nothing more nothing less. And as the younger twin brother, I approached her. But, I was standing a few distance away. My lips nor Ren’s lips ever touch Rina’s lips “ says Ron as he further explained while Ren was looking at him and the others.

        “ As I was busy trying to calm the situation that Ren started, we didn’t know that Acadia took a picture of us from the angle where she was standing. She took our picture without consent “ says Ron as he explained what really happened.

    Darwin and the others as well as Soraya could vouch for Ron. They showed them the picture where they were standing. Along with the video that Cedrick secretly recorded without their knowledge. Jeremy regretted what he did. He thought that Rina cheated on him. And that Oliver was the one who showed it to him. The police officers were standing next to Acadia.

        “ Acadia was it. Did you also know it’s against the law to take a picture without the consent of others “ says one of the police officers that knew the law Rina spoke of.

    Rina tries not to laugh. She did warn Acadia about it. But, she thought she was tricking her. The police officers checked to see if I had any bruises on my body. And they were shocked and afraid to see there was one or more. Since, they saw her bleeding from head to toe.  Rina didn’t say anything. Another police officer approached Rina.

        “ Lady Rina, you do know that you’re making things harder for us. What would our boss say about you being hurt ? “ says a police officer with black cropped hair style and green eyes as he took a deep breath.

        “ The truth of course. It’s not good to lie to anyone in this case “ says Rina as she took a sign of relief. 

    Rina stayed quiet. This time Omar approached Rina. But, he was blocked by Elroy and her friends. They shake their heads. The police officer had no choice in this matter. They brought a handcuff. Rina likes how the police officers were about to say when arresting anyone.

        “ You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before you speak to the police and have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future“ says another police officer next to Acadia already saying this to her as she turns around to face him.

The police officer with light brown hair and blue eyes starts to handcuff Acadia. Rina sighs. Oliver and the others were shocked.

        “ Da*n. Sh*it got real “ says Orion as he looked at Oliver in his direction.

    He had a feeling that he might get arrested for being Acadia’s accomplice. As he did nothing to stop it. The other police officers, like about four of them, stand next to Jerome. Two were in the back of him. And the other two were in front of him. They had to make sure he didn't fight back. 

        “ You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before you speak to the police and have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future “ says the police officer that was behind him with a handcuff ready to be used. 

    Katrina didn’t say anything. She couldn’t protect her boyfriend. Since, he was the one who beat her up senselessly.  She sighs. She knows she’s going to get another headache. Because, Jeremy’s parents would yell, scream, accuse and threaten her. Well any parents of anyone would do that. Agustin walked towards Rina. He speaks to her in another language. A language that these humans don’t understand.

        “ hei kateunlina, gwaenchanh-a? “ [Hey Katrina, are you okay?]

    She shakes her head.

    Rina sighs again and again. She knew their parents would be so dramatic when they entered. On cue, Mr. & Mrs. Taylor and Mr. & Mrs. Braxley appear. They came to save their children. Cedrick and the others watch things unfold. It was exactly how she predicted it.

        “ My boy, Jeremy. Our son. You’re alright “ Mrs. Taylor says as she wraps him into her embrace, while Mr. Taylor sees her and other people he could recognize as his eyes also grow wide.

    Mrs. Taylor’s facial expression changes when she turns around to face them.

        “ My son, you’re single right? You don’t have a girlfriend? You’re not dating any girls there are you “ as Mrs. Taylor spoke to her ‘ son ’ in front of us.

        “ You didn’t do anything wrong my son. That Rina chick deserves it. Besides, I don’t want her anywhere near my son. I already threatened her the first time she came to our house when we weren’t there “ says Mrs. Taylor spoke to her ‘ son ‘ as she says it louder for everyone to hear.

    Mr. Taylor tries to calm his wife down. Since, Jeremy's mother is escalating things way too far. Mr. Braxley tries to calm his wife too. Even when he noticed his wife, Mrs. Braxley did the same. They too also yell, scream, argue, accuse and threaten her. They did it without knowing the police officers were here. Katrina wasn’t in the mood for this. Her face turned deadly cold. The same mysterious group of people came to the rescue.  One of these people tapped her shoulder. He spoke to her, while they watched things unfold.
