Chapter 6 - Chilling with his friends part II

    The air was filled with laughter and giggles. Rina turns around. She saw a little girl that looked exactly like her. All heads are turned to face the girl. The girl had the same physical appearance as Rina. But, her hair style, hair color and eyes are different. She had a curly wave hairstyle. Her hair color was pastel pink. And her eye color was a mixture of purple and silver. If she’s mad, it will match just like Rina.

        “ Rina, does it feel good that you’re angry with humans ? “ said the little girl as a hint of a smile appeared on her face, while she looked at Rina.

        “ Come on now. Don’t stoop to their level. That’s what this human woman that you hate so much wants you to do “ said the little girl as she glanced at her and at the guys.

    Rina listens to the little girl. For some reason, Rina somehow let her guard down. She sighs. Her eye color changed back to normal.

        “ That’s it. If you’re so angry, you might split the sky in half. And we can’t have that “ said the little girl as she tried to calm her down, while she glanced over the bodies of those humans laying on the floor sleeping soundly.

    The girl gets off the seat that she was sitting on. But, she doesn’t like to get herself dirty. Instead, she was easily used to levitate into thin air. She is now face to face in front of Rina. She caresses her face in a gentle motion. She leans forward to her. Their foreheads were closed and touching each other. It felt familiar to Rina. But, she doesn’t know why.

        “ Don’t be afraid Rina. I’ll always protect you no matter what. I will not have those pathetic humans hurt you “ said the girl as she carefully calms Rina down hoping that her anger subsides.

        “ I could see you’re in love with that human boy. What’s his name? Jerome right? But is that really his real name? Or is he using a name that isn't ? “ as the girl sighs gazing at her lovely eyes, while looking at the guys.

    Darwin clears his throat as he watches Rina calming down. Agustin was about to greet the girl, but he was interrupted by her.

        “ How’s your face, little boy ? Did that human actually hurt you ? You're more powerful than this. But, I guess you don’t want to hurt humans. I presume “ said the girl as she continues to rub Rina’s back as she lays her chin on her shoulder, while glancing on the side looking at Agustin.

        “ Or does this have to do with the super blue blood wolf moon correct ? It does wonders. It allows me to come out and PLAY ! “ said the girl as she was amused at what troubles hails these people in front of her.

    The girl sighs. She gets off slowly from her shoulder. She was deep in thought. She sighs again. She leaned close to her cheeks. And she gave her a quick peck. She was hoping her facial expression would relax. She doesn’t want her face to stay like that. Her left hand was over Rina’s head touching at the back. While, she pressed her forehead onto her. She wants to see what causes Rina to feel this way. After what it feels like a long time even though it only took fifteen minutes. She shakes her head. She dislikes humans even more. 

    But, she doesn’t hate Rina. Why can’t she? There is more than the eye. Especially when it comes to Rina. She felt connected to her for some reason. 

        “ How’s your heart Rina ? You didn’t go berserk did you? Because, it would also affect your heart. Don’t want you to taint your heart. “ said the girl as she placed her right hand over Rina’s heart which was located onto one of her melons.

        “ My heart is alright. I cannot lie to you. I did go berserk for an instant. I couldn’t help it. This human female name Acadia is getting on my nerves. I won’t know what will happen if this goes on. But, most likely; it won’t end well “ said Rina as she explained what frustrates her the most to the girl.

    The girl sighs. She shakes her head. She was displeased. She wasn’t mad at Rina. But, she felt like it’s her responsibility. It would be good for both of them. However, Rina doesn’t seem to remember her. It’s not time to help her yet. She doesn’t know her name. So, the girl cannot intervene. She wonders if Rina would get her memories back. The girl sighs again. She starts to frown. Rina noticed it. She wants to ask, but she doesn’t want to pry on it. The girl smiles at her. She felt calm being near her.

    The girl already knew who Acadia was. And of course she knew about Soraya as well. She was the one watching them from a distance. She waits until Rina gets her butt in gear. She has to learn how to control her emotions. And for her to trust her instinct. She’s living a life as a human now. This was solely her decision when she was born. She sighs again. The girl waits. She saw Rina taking a deep breath as she felt calmed and relaxed. The guys stayed with Rina. They all sat down on the chair. They watch the girl. 

    Every movement and action the girl does, the guys would just observe. The girl knew that time had stopped for an instant. It would resume once she disappeared. For now, she extends her fingers to touch the hideous woman. 

        “ Is this human woman Acadia ? “ said the girl as she was pointing each of the girls one-by-one to them.

    Brian shakes his head.

        “ That’s Soraya. She’s a nice girl with a good heart. But, she’s easily fooled by anyone who doesn’t have a good heart “ said Elroy.

        “ hmm..Rina I know you don’t like humans. Even though you’re also human. Since then, I could smell the scent of a human. Why not give Soraya a chance to be your friend ? “ said the girl to Rina as she watched how she would react to her opinion.

    Rina looked at Brian and Elroy.

        “ What do you guys think ? Should I befriend Soraya ? Since her guy friends are more protective of her than they are to Acadia “ as Rina sighs looking at Oliver and Elroy, since she wants to hear their opinion.

    Brian looked at her. Then he looked at Elroy. He nodded at both of them. 

        “ It’s not what we think. But, if you must; I think the human girl Soraya would be an excellent person to become friends with. She’s easy going. And an easy approach. Aside from her being naive to everything around her “ as he took a deep breath while explaining his opinion about Soraya as he looked at Elroy and Rina. 

    Rina placed her fingers on her chin. She was thinking. She looked at Oliver again. She just nodded at his response. She then looked at Elroy a second time. She waits for Elroy to speak before she makes her decision.

        “ What do you think of this Elroy ? You have good opinions just like Brian and the others. I want to hear everyone’s opinion. But, we don’t have time to listen to all of them “ said Rina as she was debating what to do, while hearing her friend speak.

    Elroy closed his eyes. Then he opened them again. He sighs. Then he took a deep breath. He shakes his head. He placed his hands on the back of his head. His eyes started to twitch when he looked at Soraya. Then he looked at Acadia as he growled at the sight of her. 

        “ Rina, I think Soraya would be a good girl to be friends with. But, I’m sure everyone here would agree that we don’t trust Acadia “ as Elroy looked at Brian and the guys as he carefully spoke his opinion to her.

The girl stared at Rina. She waits for her response. Rina sighs again.

        “ Y’all think Soraya would be a good choice to be friends with us. Especially you Darwin and Elroy. Even when her face Acadia hurts Agustin’s face “ as the girl watches their every movement while she faces towards her.

    Rina sighs in defeat. Her guy friends also agree that it’s good for her to have friends. Rina nodded at them before she faced the girl.

        “ Is that your final answer to Rina and the guys? “ as the girl sighs at them.

    The girl glances at them one more time before she leaves.

        “ Very well. I will watch this Soraya lady. I want to see if she would be loyal to you. Or would she be the end of your sorrowful life. If I were you; you should watch your back when it comes to Acadia. Who knows? She might betray everyone “ said the girl as she giggled at what she knew would happen.

    Without hesitation, the girl lightly patted at everyone’s forehead. It was a sign to make sure that they don’t remember. The girl doesn’t want the humans to find out about Rina’s anger. She hasn’t fully controlled her emotions. The girl mumbled and whispered in native tongue. As time continues to move forward after the girl disappeared into thin air. When they woke up, Soraya and the others were confused. They were all lying on the floor against each other. Rina and her friends sat down on the seat. They were by the table. 

    They didn’t say anything. They pretend as if nothing ever happened. It was better this way for them. They don’t want any conflict happening between humans and nonhumans. Soraya and Owen looked at their phone. They noticed that it was almost two o’clock in the afternoon. That was when Jerome was almost done with work. While they waited, Acadia was doing her own thing. Soraya decides to talk to Rina again. She hoped that things would go out smoothly. The guys wished her good luck silently. 

    Soraya nodded at Oscar and the rest of her friends. She sighs. She breathes in and out. She does this three times to relax her mind and body. Then when she thought all her nerves were gone, she put two fists in front of her. She wished and prayed silently to herself. 

        “ Everything is going to be alright. I can do this. I’m not afraid of them “ said Soraya as she whispered and mumbled to herself hoping no one heard her.

    Rina minds her own business. She could feel the nervousness. As well as the tension that Soraya is feeling. It was cute for her. The guys were just chilling in the seat waiting for Jerome to be done. Soraya walks to the other side, so she doesn’t injure herself from the broken glasses. They didn’t pick it up. They don’t want to hurt themselves. Gabriel has already informed them not to touch the broken glasses. It’s dangerous for them to do so. Gabriel was in the back as he grabbed a broom and a pan. He would go where Rina and the others were. 

    He squatted down where his hands could touch the floor. He held the small broom in his right hand. While, his left hand was occupied with a small pan. He starts sweeping all the broken glasses into the pan. Rina sighs. She watches one of her childhood friends cleaning. She looked at the guys. One of them took notice. He sighs too. He looked at her. Then he looked at Gabriel. He nodded. He got up and off the seat. He walked towards Gabriel.

        “ Hey man, do you need help? Do you have an extra small broom and pan? “ as Darwin came over to him asking if he needed help.

    Gabriel felt appreciated that someone was willing to help him out. He just saw others not helping. The girls are using their phone trying to act cute. The guys like Oswaldo and the rest don’t really care. It wasn’t their fault, so they decided not to bother. Gabriel stared at him. He didn’t say anything. He starts to shake his head. He was letting Darwin know that there weren't enough small brooms and pans. He had only one for the store. He did accept the offer of Darwin to help him, so he shook his head up and down for that one only.

    Darwin turned to face Oliver. He gets up. He went to him. He tapped his shoulder. Oliver looked up. He stayed quiet. Oliver looked over his shoulder. He saw Gabriel. He didn’t say anything. But, he gets the feeling of what Darwin was going to ask him. He grabbed the nape of his neck. He sighs. He looked at Darwin. And he looked at him. They both nodded at each other. He went over to Gabriel. He helped him clean all the broken glasses along. Soraya and Acadia stayed in one spot. They didn’t move.

    Rina smiled. She’s happy that the tension between them is gone. Darwin and Oliver start to become friends. Brian looked at her. She nodded. He smiled. He gets up to help Darwin and Gabriel. Oscar saw him get off their seat. He looked over to where he was looking. It was the first time seeing Rina smile for once. He doesn’t know why. But, he felt his heart going thump when he looked at her. She felt a pair of eyes staring at her. She turned to face where the eyes were. Oscar turned his face away as if he was shy. 

    How could he be shy? He wasn’t like this before. Did he catch feelings with Jerome's girlfriend? She saw his face being turned away. She tilted her head to the side as if she was confused. Owen saw the gesture that Oscar was feeling. Did he too notice that Oscar might have feelings for her? Does he want to ruin his friendship with Jerome? Even though Owen had a feeling that Jerome wasn’t being honest for once in his lifetime. It felt peaceful for once. Everything was cleaned. 

    No broken glasses on the floor, it was already now two o’clock in the afternoon. Gabriel informed him that he’s done working. He could now be clocked out of work. It only took like about two minutes for him to be clocked out. He got all of his stuff with him.

        “ Hey guys! Did you wait long ? '' as he went over to Owen and the others after he took a deep breath.

        “ Nah man. We just waited for you to finish work. Beside, your girlfriend kept us company “ as Oscar was the first to respond to him, while his eyes were elsewhere.

        “ Oh. Did she now? She didn’t give you guys any trouble did she ? “ as he looked over at where Orion was, since he was with Acadia keeping her company.

    Jerome sighs. It was a sign of relief that nothing bad happened. He was happy that his friends kept his girl company. When he asks his friends if they have plans, they shake their heads no. They were free to go. Rina looked at Franklin. He looked at her. They speak to each other telepathically. He nodded. He went up and walked over to Jerome. He thought he was going to ask him a question. But, he didn’t. His face was looking at Soraya.

    Franklin tapped her shoulder. She starts to jump as her body jolts up. Soraya turned around. She slowly scans him from head to toe. She starts to fluster at his appearance. She saw him lick his lips. She sighs.

        “ My eyes are all the way up here, hermosa “ as he could tell she was looking at his lips rather than at him.

    Soraya snapped back to reality. She stayed quiet. He winked at her. She felt hot. Her face was turning warm like the blazing sun. Rina smirks at the sigh. The others took notice of it as well. They held their laughter.

        “ Your name is Soraya right? Well my friends and I were wondering if you could be our friends' ' as Franklin lowered himself to her level so that they both were staring at each other's eyes.

        “ y-y-you w-e-want t-t-to b-b-be my friend? '' as she starts to stutter and not knowing what to say when a guy is right in front of her face.

    Cedrick rolled his eyes. 

        “ Hey man, don’t tease the ladies like that. You’re going to give them a heart attack. Especially Soraya. She’s too innocent. Don’t give her the wrong idea man “ as he said that to Franklin, since he knew he was teasing her like that.

    She starts to frown at what he said. She placed her right hand over her heart. She felt the same thumping. Her heart was racing so fast. She took a deep breath. She did this three times for her to calm down. Omar and Oswaldo felt happy for Soraya. This was the first time she’s talking to another person beside them. They are gathered together. They are talking among each other. They are creating memories. They guys start to relax, but they won’t let their guard down still. The others decide to go out. 

    They want to get fresh air. When they went out, they were talking to each other. People have taken notice of them. They don’t know what they are saying. Since, they were speaking in native language. The others were with Soraya and his friend. They too join the rest of the gang outside. They also spoke to each other in native tongue. The others sat down with Acadia and Soraya. They were talking among each other. They were chilling. Jerome saw his girl alone with no one with her. 

    He starts to walk over to her when suddenly Acadia touches his arm. She wanted to talk to him. But, he didn’t give her a chance. He pushed her arm away. He shook his head trying to reject her slowly. Owen looked at Acadia. He was shaking his head at her. He was telling her to lay off and back off. She did what Owen told her. The man sighs. He walked over to her table. He was calling her names a couple of times. She didn’t hear him. It was as if she had too much on her plate. She sighs over and over. 

    She’s debating whether to have her boo be introduced by her family or not. She had this instinctive feeling not to do it. She doesn’t think that her family would accept him. He placed his hand on top of her forehead. And he placed his other hand on top of his forehead. Their temperatures were both normal. Except he couldn’t feel that other hotness. It was hard to detect by humans. Even for him. He slowly placed his hands on top of hers. He slowly intertwined their fingers as if they were holding hands.

    He gave her a lot of quick kisses here and there. He thought it would help get her attention. Rina tries to control her emotions. She also tries to ignore the heat she felt. It was a normal feeling for her as a human. She felt really hot. Like she wants to take off her clothes. She slowly closed her eyes. Then she opened them. Then she blacked out. Jerome saw her struggling. He kneeled on the seat. He carefully carried her. He placed her on his lap. He put her arms around his neck. He felt tired and fell asleep. She put a barrier around them.
