Chapter 4 - Greet and Meet part II

    Cedrick hummed a song. A song that Oswaldo was not used to. Brian joined in the hum as well. This song was easily distracted by others. They didn’t pay attention. The crowds inside were listening to them humming. On cue when no one is looking, Elroy raises his hands up as if he was in an orchestra. Those who can’t see what they are actually doing; the song became loud. It made anyone who listened to it fall asleep. Everyone flopped their head down. Agustin nodded and he did his part.

    Gabriel fell asleep where he was standing. He was now on the floor. As the glass shattered around, the strong breeze of the wind howled into the night. Anyone who witnessed this was scared. There were too many people. Franklin had no choice. As fast as lightning, he erased everyone’s memories of what really happened. With the wave of his hand, he made Soraya be on top of Acadia. Rather than having Jerome be on top of her. He doesn’t want to make things worse as it already was. Especially when it comes to handling Rina’s emotions.

    Darwin was free to move around. He checks to see what causes Rina to react like this. In the corner of his eyes, he saw Acadia holding a small bottle of eye drop. They hissed at the sight of it. They were mad when Acadia pretended to cry. It was a sign of weakness for men. Her mission was to let Jerome lower his guard. When it's all over, everyone woke up. Rina had an expressionless face. She doesn’t show this side of her. As they woke up, Gabriel felt cold. He was shocked to see the glass to be broken. 

    He doesn’t know how this happened. He got up and went to check up on her. Jerome was sitting up as he woke up. When Gabriel went outside, he saw that she wasn’t in the mood.

        “ That woman is getting on my last nerve “ as Rina took a deep breath trying not to get angry anymore as she whispered to herself.

    Gabriel heard it, since he was close to her.

        “ Are you referring to Acadia ? “ said Gabriel as he checked up on her wellbeing.

        “ Do not utter that sl*t name. She should stay away from my man “ as Rina growls in anger as she tries to calm down.

    Gabriel tries not to touch her. When he sees her like this, it means to him to back off. He stepped back. He waits. She closed her eyes once more. She could feel the nature of the wind. It enveloped her whole body. As she inhales and exhales for about a couple of minutes, she has finally calmed down. The weather wasn’t dangerous anymore. She lifts her head, turns to the side and notices Gabriel. She nodded at him. And he nodded at her. They both enter the pizza place once more.

    Oswaldo and his friends whistle at the sight. They saw two ladies on top of each other. The girls slowly open their eyes. Soraya slowly got up on her own. Acadia didn’t need help. She got up. As she got up, she was surrounded by broken glass. As for Soraya, she didn’t have any broken glass. It was as if someone protected her. Gabriel called the owner of the pizza place. He informed them of what happened. He also mentioned the people that were with him.

        “ Did you just say that there was a woman by the name of Rina ? “ an unknown male spoke with a concern shown on his voice.

        “ Yes sir, Rina is with me as we speak along with Jerome and his friends. She’s also not alone. She’s with Brian and the gang “ as Gabriel tries to be as calm as possible and tries not to anger the owner of where he worked.

    The man’s voice starts to shake. He also starts to stutter at what he wants to say. 

        “ t-t-that c-c-can’t b-b-be! “ as the concerned voice swiftly changes into a stutter.

        “ Sir, what's wrong ? " There was a place of concern and worry for both people.

    The silence was echoing among them. The man sighs over the phone.

        “ Gabriel, is it possible that this Rina person is with you? Did anyone cause any trouble around her ? '' as the man’s voice took a deep breath.

        “ Yes, she’s here with me. And also, Jerome the man you hired before is here. He’s also dating her. as he informed the owner of MOD.

        " She can’t be here. Not yet. Unless, oh no! Please god. I hope it’s not her “ as the man prayed and prayed that it would be a good day.

    But, at last all is for naught. The man sighs. He doesn’t want his restaurant, Meat of Deep Fried, to be shut down. He has already too much on him. The rental place was so expensive. It’s even hard to pay the employee if there’s not enough tips customers do.  Gabriel could tell his boss is getting frustrated in mentioning her name.

        “ Is something wrong sir. What does this have to do with Rina? She’s my childhood friend. “ as he laid it out to him as they both sigh.

“ Nothing is wrong. Do you have a picture of this Rina person you speak off ? And you say she's a childhood friend eh “ as the man tries not to show that he’s afraid in front of his employee.

    “ I do. But, I don’t think I should give out her picture. Because, Jerome sir is dating her. He would get mad “ said Gabriel as he informed his boss.

    The man didn’t pay attention when Gabriel spoke of the person.

        “ Wait, did you say Jerome is dating her ? Since when ? Oh dear!  “ as the man could feel that he’s about to get either a heart attack or asthma when he is getting news out of nowhere.

    The man sighs. He couldn’t go there. Unless, he flies here to America. He cannot fix the problem. He’s not there to see it. Before Gabriel could respond to his boss, the phone lost connection so they both hung up at the same time. Rina looked around to see if their customers were hurt. She sighs a sign of relief no one got hurt. She went to the other side where there wasn't any broken glass. Jerome saw his girl. He got up from his seat. He went where she was. He sighs. He embraced Rina feeling content that she was okay. 

    They gaze at each other lovingly. They didn’t care that people stared at them. A strange emotion was building up towards them. He touches her face slowly as he rubs and caresses her face. He kissed her eyes. Then her cheeks. He continues to gaze at her eyes. He wants to take notice of everything he sees into his mind. He doesn’t want to forget her. Their noses were touching as if they were nuzzling each other. He wraps his arms around her waist. She did the same to him. 

    After the embrace, he kissed his nose and she started to giggle at the gesture. He placed one of his fingers on her lips after she licked it at the same time as biting it. He leaned in closer to her face. She closed her eyes instinctively as she lifted her face to his level. He goes down to kiss her soft lips. His actions were deeply desired for her. The guys whistled as they saw them kissing for real. Acadia was disgusted at what she was seeing. Her teeth start to grit fit of anger. Looks could kill right now if Acadia could.

    She was full of rage. She was thinking what Rina has that she doesn’t. She always looks at herself in the mirror. She would tell herself she’s beautiful. She glanced at Soraya. She has the same physical appearance beside having different hair style, hair color and eyes. If she had to describe her friend Soraya then she was the golden girl. She had guys in every direction in their high school days. Soraya had a slender, feminine build, voluptuous and petite body. She had a medium size of melon and peaches. 

    She had a soft face shape, seductive arch eyebrow shape, upturned feline eye shape, celestial nose shape and classic lip color. It was the same physical appearance as Acadia herself. Except her body wasn’t really petite nor skinny. It was in the shape of a fruit pear. She was proud of her melons and peaches. They are both round, firm and big. Soraya’s hair style was a curly wave, while hers was long straight hair but she tied her hair half way like a ponytail. Soraya didn’t need to wear makeup. She was already beautiful without it.

    Acadia didn’t understand what went wrong. Soraya was carefree, outgoing, caring, and friendly. That’s how she saw it in the past. Soraya’s natural hair color was black. But, she dyed it to a passion fruit color as her eyes were hazel green. As for Acadia’s natural hair color was light brown, but she wanted to change her color. She made the color light green that has the taste of a sour grape. Her eye color was brown. She was in deep thought. Not until Oliver made sounds that he was happy for his friend Jerome.

    Rina’s friends step aside to hide them. They needed their privacy. He pushed his tongue to her lips asking for entrance. Bewildered was what she felt at this moment. He continues to push his tongue as their bodies are closer to each other. His arms were around her shoulder. His fingers trail down to her waist. She jolted at the touch which effectively gave a small opening for him to enter. He devoured her all mouth with his tongue as they fought for dominance of each other. She stifled a moan. 

    They kissed and continued to kiss. They kissed for about five minutes. Since, Gabriel interrupts their happy moments. They broke apart, so they could find their breathing. They looked at each other filled with love and desire. They both were breathing effortlessly. Their heads snapped back to reality. They turned to their friends. Their faces were speechless. They each hold their smirk.

    Gabriel looked at his phone.

        “ Oh dear! Jerome. Your break is over. Time to go back to work “ as he called out to him.

    He pulled the loose hair that was on her face. The loose hair was behind her ear. 

        “ Baby wait for me. I’ll be done soon “ as Jerome whispered into her ears as she giggled at him as she looked up at his face.

    He kissed her forehead. Then he gave her a quick peck on the lips. He went back to behind the cashier. Rina’s friend wants to walk with him. They blocked Acadia away from him. She blows kisses at him. He catches the kiss and puts it into his heart. It was adorable to witness it. His coworker blocked the place that had broken glasses. People entered the pizza place. Jerome’s face turns serious as he starts to greet the customer. It was indeed a normal day. Gabriel went back with him as well. He’s helping out at the back as usual.

    The guys came back to Rina’s side. They sat down along with her. Soraya and the others sat down. They talk among each other. As she was relaxing, she got a text from Jocelynn. Her childhood best friend. She and I grew up together as children. Their parents were best friends too.

Nothing much. Just bored at home. Nothing to do.

Well I’m out with my boyfriend. And spending time with his friend.

Do you want to come over? Or you can’t go out today.

I wish I could. But, you do know I don’t have a ride to get there.  I don’t drive. And I can’t take uber by myself, remember?

Rina continues to text her best friend back and forth. She felt bored too. But, she doesn’t show it.

Text from Rina to Jocelynn

That sucks. I was planning to invite you to hangout with us. I was thinking of going to that club that I saw earlier. But, I don’t think your parents would agree will they ?

Text from Jocelynn to Rina

I would, but it’s a school night. I don’t think my parents would let me. I don’t drink alcohol. I do want to go out. But, I can’t. Sorry Rina. Maybe next time.

    Rina sighs. Her childhood best friend, Jocelynn isn’t into this kind of fun. She’s not a party animal in which she goes out and has fun. She’s more into the responsible one. Though she also wants to go out and let loose. Her parents are another story. They are very overprotective of her. Because of her height. People would treat her as if she was a child. When she’s actually a college student just like Rina. Her friends walk over to Acadia. They show her what she did. They crushed her eyedrops with just one squeeze. 

    They weren’t very happy at all. Orion was surprised to see Darwin’s attitude towards her changed. He didn’t care what he thought of him. He doesn’t want anything bad to happen to Rina. She sighs over and over. Agustin took notice of it. He brushed past Acadia and sat with Rina. The others followed his lead.

        “ What was that ? You were never that harsh with the ladies before. What change, huh Darwin ? “ as she looked straight at him as she placed her chin on her hands when her fingers were intertwined with each other.

        “ I still love women. But, I cannot stand a woman like Acadia. She looked so desperate to get Jerome’s attention. She doesn’t even know when to back off. Doesn’t she know that Jerome is dating you, Rina? “ as he sighs and shakes his head in displeasure and frustration.

    She sighs again and again. She looked at Acadia with disgust in her eyes. There was anger in her eyes. She could also sense jealousy within Acadia.

    “ Darwin, there’s nothing you could do. Acadia already knew that Jerome has a girlfriend. And that I’m his girlfriend. But, she doesn’t care. I just feel like she’s up to something. Like she wants us to break up literally“ as Rina expresses her frustration with that girl.

        “ But, I’m not in the mood for all this. This Acadia woman is getting on my last nerve. It’s already hard enough to control my emotions. Especially since today is a super blue blood moon. She better stop. She’s already making her kind worse. “ as Rina breathed in and out while looking at her friends.

    The guys knew what the super blue blood moon does to all of them. It was Rina’s first time experiencing this kind of thing. Elroy leaned in close to Rina. She tilted her head to the side. He whispered into her ear.

“ Are you sure ? Is that all you gathered about them ? “ as Rina slowly pointed at Jerome’s friends secretly.

    They nodded at her question.

    “ Very well. Gather more information. Let me know about it at the end of the day today “ said Rina as she took a deep breath, while observing her man at work.
