Chapter 43 - Are you an angel ? part I

Kiana; on the other hand, she tries to walk back to the park. She starts to struggle standing up. The girl noticed she was injured. She could hear multiple cars coming this way. Along with a truck heading there. The girl sighs.

I’m supposed to be sleeping.

Yet I’m here when I heard a cry for help.

How do I avoid showing off to humans ?

They think I’m a human. 

So, does being a human know how to avoid danger?

How do I protect Kiana from having a car accident that wasn’t meant for her?

The wind brought me here to help out.

So I might as well.

The sound of multiple honking of a car could be heard. The girl sighs. She doesn’t have time for this. She bent down gently. She carries Kiana in bridal style.

“ Hold onto me tightly Kiana ! “

The girl spoke to her as she emphasized the word ‘ tightly ‘. She did what she was told. Kiana wrapped her arms around her neck. She gently tightened her grip on her. The girl sighs.

“ Wow you are really light as a feather Kiana “

The girl commented on her weight. She blushes. This was the first time someone told her that she wasn’t fat.

“ Now be a dear and calm your racing heart “

“ Close your eyes and mind “ 

The girl spoke to Kiana. She waits, until she does it. The girl looked down at her. She smiled truly at the sight. She watches Kiana closing her eyes. But, she could still feel her heartbeat thumping crazy.

“ Do you trust me Kiana ? “

The girl spoke to her gently. For unknown reasons, Kiana felt comfortable around the girl. She had this inkling feeling that the girl was familiar to her. But, she couldn’t put her mind to it yet.

“ Are you an angel ? “

“ Are you here to save me just like my cousin ? “

Kiana asked the girl as she was curious. The girl breathes in and out. After the girl got off of the floor slowly, she was standing strong. She stands her ground as she has Kiana in her arms.

“ Okay. I can do this “

The girl mumbles quiet to herself. Kiana didn’t hear what she said. She ignored it.

“ Saving a beautiful girl like you is a pleasure to the eyes “

The girl spoke fondly to Kiana. She blushes at her comment. It was the same thing that her cousin said to her too. Oddly, she felt calm around the girl. The girl could hear screaming on all sides. A car driving at a fast speed is coming towards them. She could hear it.

“ Is that so ? Thanks for telling me little one “

The girl spoke to the wind spirit in their mind. She nodded. She took a deep breath. She has to make sure she did this correctly. 

“ Be a dear and put up a protective barrier “

“ Make sure no innocent human people get hurt by this “

The girl spoke to the wind spirits through their mind. The wind spoke in response by whispering to the girl. They nodded. And the girl nodded. She could feel the change in the air. The girl’s eyes change color instantly at will. To the supernaturals, the girl’s hair and eye color swiftly gently to white. But, to the eyes of the humans; they could only see the girl with lemonade yellow hair color and pure blue eye color instead.

The girl herself was light as a feather too. The girl closed her eyes. She spoke in native tongue inside her mind. In doing so, a mysterious green light appears under her feet. Multiple cars are coming and coming. They didn’t see the girl. They couldn’t anyways. The girl made herself known. When the car came closer to her, her appearance appeared towards the humans. The screams became louder. It was already too late for drivers to stop. This is how humans always get in a car accident. Because, they don’t keep their eyes on the road.

When the girl took a deep breath, one of the cars that was speeding up without following the speed limit came crashing towards her. But, the people who closed their eyes couldn’t see what’s going on.

Kiana’s POV

Why do bad things always happen to me? I remember helping a male foreigner out. The foreigner was handsome. He says his thanks to me. And he left. Now, I’m with Melina and her henchmen. Come on. Melina doesn’t act her own age. She’s your typical b*tch. She doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings. Because, her parents are rich. So, she thinks that money could buy anything. That’s why Melina is never going to do anything bad. Moments later, when Melina’s guy friends were talking among each other; I saw her push me hard. She pushed me so hard that I’m laying on the street. 

Melina is a spoiled brat. She doesn’t fight her own battles. She lets her guy friends to protect her. She pretends to be weak. But, she’s never weak. If only my cousins hangout with me. My cousin never allowed anyone to touch me. I sigh. I try to get up off the floor. I couldn’t. My legs were shaken. Not only that, one of my feet had a sprained ankle. I felt a cold wetness coming down from my face. I touch it. And I saw it. I was furious. I was bleeding. She scared my face. Is she trying to disfigure me? Very immature Melina was. I hope karma comes knocking on her door. 

She shouldn’t hurt people like this. Melina hung out with guys, because she thought the guys were ‘ popular ‘. But, they weren’t. The guys were normal people like everyone else. They weren’t born from a wealthy family. That didn’t stop the guys for who they were. Beside the guys having their own personality. I wonder what Melina would do if they found out that one of her friends is related to me. Or worse friends with me. I want to see how she reacts. I  didn’t really do much. I didn’t really annoy Melina. She doesn’t like me being anywhere near her. Or breathe in the same air.

 I don’t understand her reasoning. Anyways, I side glance at Jameson Wyatt. He was handsome as always. Not to mention, there was also Bailey Jackson too. Those two guys didn’t like how Melina treats me. I shrug at the thought.

There was no crashing sound. Melina didn’t expect that. Her and the others saw the cars and the two people. Everyone gasps. Especially Melina. Her mouth dropped wide open. Like she didn’t expect that. The first car came by as the girl did a somersault. As she does that, the girl could see more cars coming by. After like about two to four cars, the girl landed on the street. The girl could hear more cars coming by. This time she jumped really high doing a back flips. All the cars came by one by one. Until she uses her other hand that was free.

She landed on top of the hooded car gently when the car stopped. The car stopped, because other cars from another direction needed to pass. So, the girl had a few minutes to catch her breath. Kiana heard people’s voices. She didn’t let go of the girl. The girl who was trying to save her life. The girl slowly walked from the back of the car where she was standing. She could see the truck in front of her. Two guys inside the truck were surprised. They saw a girl carrying another girl in bridal style. The girl noticed them checking them out. She didn’t hesitate to give them a wink.

The girl sensed that the car was about to move. So, she turned around. Where her back is facing towards the truck drivers.

“ Kiana wrap your legs around me tightly “ 

“ Wrap your arms around my neck too “

“ Don’t want you to injure yourself, while I’m carrying you “

“ Nor do I want you to have any broken bones “

The girl whispered into her ear. The coldness of it made Kiana’s body shiver. After she says that to Kiana, the girl crouches down like she needs to use the bathroom. She made her arms dangle before she made them backwards. Kiana's arms and legs were locked tightly onto her. The girl could hear Kiana’s heartbeat. It was beating really fast. The girl took a deep breath. She tries to calm Kiana down.

“ It’s going to be alright “

“ I won’t let anything happen to you “

The girl cooed at her. 

“ Shush that’s it calm down for me “

Kiana finally relaxed. 

“ I trust you a lot “

Kiana whispers into the girl’s ears. That alone gave the girl the courage to do an extra mile. This kind of move is dangerous to use. The ones she was thinking of doing. She started to time it. She could feel the car she was on top of starting to move. She didn’t hesitate. She made a one stand backflip somersault as the car moved. When the car moved, the girl was in the air. Everyone’s mouth dropped. They were shocked by what they saw.

“ Wow that girl could jump “

“ That girl is very beautiful “

“ Come here little mama “

The girl could hear countless guys speaking at once. Kiana could hear where the voice came from. Kiana rolled her eyes at the comment that Joshua and Shawn made. The girl knew she’s making a scene. She has to end this. She starts to hum a song. It was a lovely tune Kiana could hear. The girl makes sure there’s no more cars. And when there’s no more cars, the girl landed gently on the floor. Kiana fell asleep. She was exhausted from the fright. She remembers what the drives and the cars look like. She unconsciously altered the memories of what the drivers saw. So, they don’t get suspicious of her. 

As a bystander of people watching, she did two things at once. One made the crowds of people fall asleep. It took about two to five minutes. She waited fully as she checked each human’s breathing. Then, she places her hands above them. In that instantly, she quickly alters all their memories before another car comes by to see what she was doing. She didn’t alter Kiana’s memories. Because, she trusted her for an odd reason. After that, the girl places Kiana on the floor. She has to make sure that it was back to how it was before.

The girl lands in the park behind the trees. She looked around to make sure no one saw her. She decided to play it cool. With the snap of her fingers, her clothes instantly change on a whim. The girl was wearing a gorgeous outfit. She was wearing a tank top crop top. The tank top was a mesh where it had holes in it. She was wearing a red and black stripe laced bra. She was also wearing a red and black stripe jean short. The ones with pockets at the back of the short. She was also wearing black boots. And she had a long sweater that kind of looked like a dress but not really. 

She pressed her forehead onto the tree. She had to catch her breath. Then, she slowly walked up the stairs where she found everyone awake. Except this time, Kiana woke up laying on the floor. She starts to get up on the floor when suddenly she hears people yelling at her. She turned around and saw the car moving fast.

“ Kiana !!! “

Bailey and Jameson yelled her name. In a sprint of lightning, the girl ran up the stairs. She didn’t look back. The girl had enough speed to catch up to her. Kiana closed her eyes for the impact. But, instead; she felt warmth again. She opened her eyes. And she saw a beautiful girl carrying her in bridal style.

The girl POV

“ I need to breathe “

“ I need to go out more “

I sigh. I knew I needed more workout. This happens when I am laying on the bed all day.  Yeah you heard right. I remember being in my cousin’s house. Now, I'm in an unknown park. And hear people say it's ‘ Gellert park ‘. Hmm.. I need to investigate this immediately. And then I showed off. Yeah how am I supposed to explain this to my samchon . I hope they don’t yell at me. I was supposed to get ready. And yet I fainted. Then I woke up here. My mind is somehow fuzzy at the moment. 

I do remember saving a girl on the floor. And she did ask me if I was an angel. Do I look like an angel ? I sigh again. I finally changed my outfit. I had to make sure I didn’t show up on time. I had to make the humans believe me that I was at this ‘ park ‘. Then, I start walking up the stairs. I saw the same girl on the floor. I rolled my eyes at the sigh.

“ Oh yeah I put her there “

“ Oops “

I mumbled under my breath. I hear people screaming. And calling someone’s name out of the blue. That one name made me sprint really fast. This was the first time for me to run. It’s like I’m running a marathon. I found myself picking up the pace and running really fast. I didn’t know that I could run this fast. I zip through everyone that was in my way. I could hear cars and honking inches closer. I dangle my body and extend my hand. I scooped up the beautiful girl in my arms. And she holds onto me for dear life. 

I made it in time before the car hit her. I landed on the other side of the street. The girl was in my arms tightly. I was breathing heavily. I need to get paid for this. I could feel her heartbeat beating really fast.

“ Is she couldn’t to pass out ? “

I thought to myself. And instantly, the girl looked up at me before she blacked out from the fright. Great how am I supposed to explain this.

The girl remembered her name. She had Kiana in her arms. She carried her in bridal style again. The people across the street from her breathe a sigh of relief. She saw two men gazing at her. She leaned forward to check to make sure there’s no more surprises. She was about to cross the street, but she didn’t. Because there were more cars coming by. A nice man in the car stopped. He was looking at the two beautiful girls. He nodded at her. And she bowed toward her to  say ‘ thanks ‘. And the girl crossed the street with Kiana in her arms.

After the girl and Kiana reach the other side of the street. She had to catch her breath. She was sweating so much. People surrounded her and Kiana. They were cheering and whistling. The girl didn’t like being the center of attention. So when the people tried to talk to her, they couldn’t. Because, they would always get interrupted. The crowds of people heard their phone starting to ring. The people bowed to her and left the scene. It was only the two guys running up to her. And other people following them.

The girl waits until she wakes up. It’s like waiting for sleeping beauty. But in this case, Kiana appears to be princess Aurora sleeping peacefully. And the two boys who seem to know her was her knight in shining armor. After a couple of minutes, the girl felt Kiana moving around. She was mumbling something under her breath. The girl leans closer to her mouth to hear what she says. The girl smiled. It was really cute to see her like that. 

“ Oh she’s starting to wake up “

The girl heard a guy say out loud.

“ Does your voice have to be loud ? “

Another guy spoke.

“ Hey that’s being mean. You’re going to annoy her “

Another guy says. Out in the corner of her eyes, she could see another girl looking really angry.  The girl felt that darkness again. The girl could feel a seed of darkness growing in that girl’s heart.

“ Great another wannabe who wants to be popular “

The girl says in her mind. The girl stands her ground. She starts to growl as she clenches her teeth and fist. 

“ Woah it’s going to be fine “

The girl heard. Except his voice was gentle and calming. The two boys stand in front of her. It was as if they were protecting Kiana and the girl.

“ What’s wrong with you ? “

“ It’s not like I’m going to hurt Kiana “

“ Isn’t that right Joshua and Shawn ? “

The girl says to the two boys as she comes up to them. Joshua and Shawn didn’t say anything. Their body starts to fidget. They want to speak the truth to her. But, they didn’t want to make a girl cry. The girl that had Kiana rolled her eyes. The girl's side glances at her. The two in front of her noticed it. They seem to trust her apparently. They start to introduce themselves.

“ Hello, my name is Bailey Jackson. I’m the cousin of Kiana Karlie “

One of the boys says to her. The others gasp. Melina was surprised. She didn’t know that one of her friends is related to Kiana. Bailey stands next to the girl and Kiana.

“ Hello, my name is Jameson Wyatt. I am the childhood best friend of Kiana Karlie “

The second boy spoke to her. The girl nodded. The second boy gave a smirk that appeared on his face. There was another gasp of shock from their friends. Melina was shaken. She didn’t know that.

“ And that girl you are carrying is Kiana Karlie. The cousin of Katrina Sawyer “

Bailey and Jameson pointed at her to the girl. The girl nodded. There was no surprise for her. She already had a feeling. Melina was more shocked.

“ Wait Katrina Sawyer as the one and only ? “

Bailey and Jameson didn’t say anything. They just stared at her like she had an extra pair of horns on her. 

“ Why aren’t you guys surprised? “

Melina spoke to Bailey and Jameson.

“ Did you know about this Joshua and Shawn ? “
