Chapter 17 - Waking up part I

Months, days, years and time continue to pass. Don’t know if years passed by. It just feels like time goes slower this time. Rina was in the hospital sleeping soundly. When she sleeps, she feels like she’s dreaming. It was a strange dream that she didn't understand. She woke up from the dream. She slowly fluttered her eyes open. She stared into the ceiling. The air was quiet. She blinks her eyes a couple of times. The ceiling was purely white as if she was in heaven. She slowly twists her head to the side. 

She glanced at where she was at. She was contemplating where she was at. From there the two handsome men were sleeping soundly in the chair. She looked down at her arms. It was skinny and thin. It wasn’t plump anymore. Like there’s no muscle anymore. She did the same to her left arm. It was still the same as the other one. She stayed quiet. Then she didn’t mean to panic. When she panicked, the monitor was making sounds really loud.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

The sound was so in rhythm. It sounded like it was playing a song. The two men were startled at the sound when they woke up. They got up really quick. For apparent reason, she could hear their thoughts clearly.  They don’t know what to do in a hospital. Since, these two men aren’t humans. One noticed that Rina woke up. He leaned in to check on her. When their eyes met, a part of her reacted to it. A burning sensation on her body starts to show on her skin. It was visible to only the supernaturals. 

Never on humans. If humans see it, they just think it’s a tattoo. But, it isn’t.

inside Rina’s mind as she thinks

“ w-where am I? “

“ A-am I in heaven ?

“ w-why is the room so white ? “

She didn’t know what was happening to her. When she was thinking, her eyes suddenly changed color. And her hair color changes as well. It was easily noticed by anyone on site. They thought it was a growth spurt. But, her height froze at a certain point in time. The human doctor rushes to enter the room. They push the people out of the room. They gave her painkillers. They noticed that the girl was awake. But, the girl had a lot of broken bones. And she lost a lot of blood. The same mysterious girl came out of hiding.

“ You know you keep getting hurt these days. Do you want me to heal you up ? Since, I have the power to do so “ says the mysterious girl as she looks at her.

Rina sighs. She recognized the mysterious girl. She had the same physical appearance as her. But, her hair and eye color are the same. However; her hair style is different. She thought she had a twin sister. But, that can’t be right. Who knows. The mysterious girl leaned closer. Their forehead is touching each other.

“ I see that you’re awake. But, you don’t need to panic. You’re in a human hospital after. Sooner or later you will be reborn “ says the mysterious girl to Rina as she sighs while looking and feeling sad for her.

After that, she disappeared when Rina closed her eyes. The painkiller made her fall asleep again. She welcomes the darkness into her. It’s a way to keep her asleep. As every second and minutes have passed, her physical appearance will change. Time would tell. This time she would have a different appearance. She would still keep the facade of a young child. Since, she’s born with a babyface. An advantage that makes people think she’s a child. When in reality; she’s an adult. It was as if her wounds were fully healed. 

The wings that protected her were gone. She felt renewed. The people that waited from the outside entered the room. They sat down on the chair. They knew that she had changed fully. The two handsome men stayed quiet. The others were gentle towards her. They caress her one-by-one as if she was a fragile doll.

“ Good your wounds have finally healed. Don’t you agree, Cedrick ? “ says Agustin as he inhales and exhales.

“ Should we call her ‘ parents ‘ ? “ says Elroy as he looks over to the two handsome men before them.

“ That should be wise. But, what should we tell them ? “ says Franklin as he scratches the back of his head worrying about her.

They looked at each other. And then they look at the two grownups. They didn’t say a word.

“ What should we say ? The ones that raised Rina are completely humans “ says Darwin as he looks over to Rina, while he rubs the back of her hand.

“ We can’t just tell them the truth. They would look at us crazy “ says Darwin as he sighs while he rubs his temple over and over.

“ Or worse, they might send Rina to a therapist ward for crazy people “ says Elroy as the thought of it made him worried and concerned for her safety.

The two handsome men sigh. They could hear them speak. They are also thinking of a plan. No one in her family knows the truth. Nor do they tell Rina anything. It’s like they are keeping a secret. A secret that they shouldn’t know. Is the secret that bad that they don’t want to tell Rina anything ? Was it to keep her safe? Or was it to keep them safe? Time would tell. After a couple minutes of silence, one spoke as he sighs.

“ Any news about Jerome Carter ? Like who are his biological parents ? “ says the first handsome man as he knows that Rina’s boyfriend was adopted.

“ We know that his parents' names were Jeremiah Carter and Jessalyn Carter. But, their whereabouts are unknown “ says Agustin.

The man sighs. He looked at them as he rubbed his temple. He also pinched the bridge of his nose. He doesn’t want to wake Rina up. 

“ How do you know about this ? “ says the man as he looks straight at Agustin.

“ I was walking in a dark alley one day. And she was being harassed by a group of men. She was indeed beautiful. But, her age says otherwise “ says Agustin.

The men narrowed at Agustin. He checks to see if he’s telling the truth. There wasn’t any deceit in his face. Agustin looked at him. And he nodded at him. He continued to explain it once more.

“ I told Katrina about this. And she wasn’t surprised. She had a feeling who the woman was. But, she doesn’t remember her name. Maybe we should allow her to visit the person ? “ says Agustin as he looked over at her at the hospital bed.

“ But the problem is, the people there are ‘ trouble ‘. The lady I helped told me that these people are called ‘ loan sharks ‘. It's a group of people that help people in need. The people would come to them to “ borrow “ money from them. But, they have to pay them back at a certain time. However… “ says Agustin as he looks over to his friends and the two men.

As Agustin says ‘ loan shark ‘, Rina suddenly opens her eyes. But, this was a different personality. Her hair was wavy and glitter as it danced through the wind. She adjusted her eyes. Her hair was changed to a passionate fruit hair. It was a familiar color to a light pink one. And her eyes were very colorful. She could see through everyone’s aura. She doesn’t bat her eyelashes. She was known as the know-in-all. The person who knows everything. Even if she doesn’t have her memories returned.

Time stopped for a second. The humans have stopped moving. She could hear voices. It was a cry for help. A potential surge of powers filled the air. It was electrifying. Time doesn’t affect these people in the room. They turned their heads to face her.

“ Katrina is that you ? “ says Brian as he and the others come closer.

“ Wait, that's not her. Her hands are so freaking cold. Like ice. And her face is so pale like snow “ says Darwin as he gets up slowly not trying to upset the person.

The unknown voice escaped her mouth. She started at them. Then she started to giggle in a playful way.

“ All of you smell so wonderful. I smell fear, lust, worry, etc. excited “ says an unknown voice that uses Rina’s body.

“ Come on now! I don’t bite. Beside, I have come out to play “ says the unknown voice as she giggles softly.

She could see countless faces these people make. They were looking at her. Her eye color changes. She could smell the blood of humans. She starts to whiff the air like it's her play thing.

“ Mmmhmmm…That smells so good. I must have it “ says the unknown voice as her lips smirk in a hungry way.

In a split second, she disappeared. She followed where the scent came from. It was definitely calling her. She appeared at the front of the police station. Time stopped. It was the same place as the two humans being in jail. She wonders if these humans will be safe against her. The thought made her absolutely excited. She turned around. The people were still with her. It seems she is rusty.

“ Oh right! I forgot the humans from the hospital. They might be worried if I’m gone for so long “ says the unknown voice as it uses Rina’s voice.

She silently cast a spell at will. It allows the user to make people fall asleep. It works if she thinks of the people who she wants them too. Her first thought was the people at the hospital. With one thought, the spell was activated. She was about to walk in front of the police station. But, she was stopped midway by Rina’s male friends.

“ Don’t go there! You’re not fully dressed appropriately “ says Elroy and Franklin as they looked at her.

The two men that were with her also agreed. They want her to change into something more decent. Not the kind that she wore last time. She narrowed her eyes at them.

“ Ah I see. You two are very responsible men indeed. Rina is lucky to have such people to care for. I wonder when you would tell Rina who you two were. Isn’t that right, samchon ? “ says the unknown female using Rina’s voice.

The two men were surprised.

“ You must be her other other half “ says the man.

“ Ooo you’re so smart. But, what is my name ? “ says the unknown female voice as she stared at all the men around her.

“ I’m so hungry. Humans can’t even control their lustful desires for women. I wonder… “ says the unknown female voice using Rina’s voice. She was looking in the direction of Agustin and the others.

The guys look at each other. Then they looked at the two men before them. They all sigh over and over.

“ Come on Zara, don’t be like that. We could fill you up “ says Cedrick as she winked at her.

Zara rolled her eyes at them.

“ Why do I want to f*ck you ? You’re friends with Rina. And you’re her friend. I don’t think that’s wise “ says Zara as she looked at Cedrick with an expressionless face.

Brian laughs.

“ Burned! You have been rejected “ says Brian as Cedrick playfully punches him in the arm.

The others snickered.

“ I’m not a fool. I knew who you six are. You stick by Rina for so long. Yet, you haven’t even told her who you really are, is that wise, naui yaghonja ?  “ says Zara as she lays it down gently.

The two men were surprised. Not shocked. But, Zara knew who these six men were. And why they were there with Rina. Zara looked at the six men. She noticed these six men were very handsome and rich indeed.

“ Oh ! So you do realize that we are. But, you know Zara, you’re a part of geunyeo “ says Agustin.

“ Hmmm. That does make sense. But, is it alright for Rina to fool around with humans? She is still a part of the human race. Her memories won’t return yet. Until.. the seven sinners have been brought back  “ says Zara as she looked at them. 

Agustin and the others were sad. They start to frown at the thought.

“ If it makes Rina happy. Then we will be there for her. At this point, humans can’t get pregnant by our kind anyways “ says Franklin as he sighs.

“ Is that so ? Well that’s good to know. But would you feel hurt if Rina gets pregnant by humans ? “ says Zara as she carefully lays it down on them trying to see if there’s any reaction to them.

They didn’t show it. But, their emotions were said and done through their faces. Zara sighs. She walks up to Agustin and the others. She doesn’t know why. But, she could feel their sadness. She was face to face with Agustin. And the others surround her. She has six warm bodies around her. One of Zara’s abilities was that she could absorb negative emotions into her. And replace it with positive emotions. The negative emotions are food energy that needed it the most. Zara’s food preferences are s****l energy. 

If Zara is in possession of Rina’s body then Rina cannot get pregnant. Only humans can get pregnant with humans. They cannot cross bred. Unless, if they did; they would be exterminated. Humans will keep human babies. That’s what the supernatural government wants to protect babies who are hybrid or somewhere supernatural. The mere thought of it made Zara shiver. Brian thought Zara was cold, since he saw her body tremble. The silence continues.

“ So while I was asleep for so long. I have heard rumors that a particular human has hurt Rina. Is that true ? “ says Zara as she looked at the men before her.

The men didn’t say anything. They stayed quiet. They just looked at each other. Then I looked at her. And nodded at her question she asked. She sighs. She shook her head feeling disgusted.
