Swipe Right for Love

Chapter 2

Emma sits in her office cubicle, staring blankly at her computer screen. She's been working on the same project for hours, and her mind is starting to wander. She takes a deep breath and opens her phone, clicking on the dating app she downloaded the night before.

Emma swipes left on a few profiles before coming across Tom's. She hesitates for a moment before swiping right, feeling a rush of excitement as the app confirms the match. She quickly types out a message to him.

"Hey, Tom! Nice to meet you. How's your day going?"

A few minutes later, Tom replies.

"Hey, Emma! My day is going pretty well, all things considered. How about yours?"

Emma smiles as she types out her response, feeling a flutter of anticipation in her stomach.

"It's been a long day, but I'm surviving. What do you do for work?"

Tom responds quickly, and they begin chatting back and forth about their jobs and hobbies. Emma is pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to talk to Tom, and before she knows it, they've been messaging for over an hour.

As the workday comes to a close, Emma suggests they meet up for coffee the next day. Tom agrees, and they make plans to meet at a nearby café.

Emma can't help but feel a little nervous as she heads home from work. She hasn't been on a date in months, and the idea of meeting a stranger from a dating app is a little intimidating. But she can't deny the excitement she feels at the thought of getting to know Tom better.

The next day, Emma arrives at the café early, feeling jittery with anticipation. She orders a coffee and waits nervously for Tom to arrive. A few minutes later, she sees him walking towards her, and her nerves start to dissipate as he flashes her a warm smile.

"Hi, Emma! It's great to meet you in person," Tom says, extending his hand.

Emma takes his hand and feels a spark of electricity as their eyes meet. She can't help but think that this might just be the start of something special.
