As Jenny moved aside to allow her entrance, Casina lifted her eyes to scan the room for the source of her sudden apprehension, a cold dread sweeping over her. When her eyes rested on the deputy, all color drained from her face and she stumbled backwards with fear, colliding directly with Seth Vernier"s solid wall of a chest. Afraid she might faint, the Seth steadied her with a firm, yet gentle hand. But Casina shook him away, angry with herself for reacting so stupidly again.
