Amanda Chen is an 18 years old girl with a normal family background where they have a restaurant that sells Thai cuisine. Her parents are loving to her and her siblings. She had an older brother who is a dentist at the city hospital around Bangkok. She continued her studies at the University somewhere in Bangkok and yes, she took her favorite course which is business. She's kind and beautiful at the same time since her family works with a lot of strangers every day, Amanda became a friendly person but still showed her shy sides some days. To describe her appearance, she's a tall girl with long wavy brown hair and doe eyes. To make it easy, she's beautiful. Since her grandpa is from the UK, she got something different from the locals there and she received some questions from the customers of her family's restaurant. "Amanda, have you done? the customers are waiting!". Her mom called as she saw her daughter was losing in her thoughts. "Uh, yes mom". She answered and walked the tray to the customers. She made the best drinks ever, especially when it comes to tea. "Here's your drinks". She served with a smile. Her mom shook her head and she sigh. "Your semester break will be over in 2 weeks right?". She asked as Amanda walked to her. She nodded with a smile. "You and dad will handle this restaurant alone". She pouted. "Heyy, we have a lot of workers here...your dad and I don't work that much too, they handle everything here". Her mom said softly as she held her daughter's soft hand. Amanda is the only daughter in the family and yes she's spoiled but she's an independent girl. She loves her family's attention but not money. Even though she lives in a middle-class family, she's grateful for her life and tries to buy things that she wants by herself. "How did you end up with that boy?". Her mom asked and a frown was drawn on Amanda's temple. "What are you talking about? We're friends since then but I have never told you about him". She shook her head. "Oh really?". Her mom pouted. "Thought I'd finally have a new son". She mumbled and Amanda playfully slapped her shoulder. "I'm 18". She giggled as she utter. "That's the best age to get a boyfriend you know?". Her mom teased. "Not yet, mom". Amanda laughed. Living as a busy girl has created the most independent self in Amanda's body where she didn't even bother to have a boyfriend or not even though her friends are walking everywhere with theirs. She wants to have one but to get that 'one' is hard. On the other side of her mind says, focus on yourself and that time will come soon. "Hi ! can I have a glass of Thai green tea, please?". Both of them were startled by the soft but deep voice of someone. "Ah yes, sir...anything else?". Amanda's mom asked the customer and he shook his head. "Can I get your name?". "Aydan". He uttered. "Okay Mr. Aydan, please wait on the tea section". She smiled as that someone agreed. Amanda quickly strain the green tea pouch into the plastic cup and added some creamer and also condensed milk to add some sweets to that drink. Who hates green tea? Well if you're in Thailand, teas are the first thing that you should get. Amanda looked at the receipt to get the customer's name. "Aydan...that's an unfamiliar name here". She mumbled and walked to the serving counter. "Here is your drink, sir Aydan". Amanda said softly without looking at the customer. "Oh, that's fast, thanks...Amanda?". The customer read the name on her name tag and Amanda looked up. "Yes". She smiled softly. They were staring at each other. His eyes are looking so different like there's something in there while his nose and thin lips are perfectly sticking to his face. His skin is a little bit fairer than hers while his height is just perfect. "I'd kill this guy if he ever been insecure with himself". Amanda thought. They broke eye contact and Aydan took his drink. Amanda's cheeks naturally applied a blusher and their heartbeats were just like they'd finished miles of the marathon competition. They looked at each other and Aydan nodded as he raised his cup. Amanda nodded with her wide eyes. . . . . . . Fates always surprise us. We'll never know when and how it will happen but it will happen. Just like stars, we didn't know if the stars will appear in the sky tonight but we know that it's always there.
