The Betrayed Mate

In my doorway stood Jasper and Amy.

" Let me at them, Moon Goddess!" snarled Kara.

"It is not time yet, Kara. Soon!" said the Moon Goddess. "You have a job to do. Go now. I will protect Lana!"

"Yes, Moon Goddess," Kara said as she disappeared into thin air.

"So, you were spying on us tonight" Amy said as she wrapped her hand around my throat, cutting my air. As she squeezed, my sight got darker and darker. I had enough sight to be able to see Jasper pulling back a fist ready to strike. With my hands trying to pull Amy's hands off my neck, I looked towards the Moon Goddess and saw that her face always had a smile on it. She walked closer to me placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I'll show you what we do to spies" Jasper said as he started to hit me in the head.

When I was almost ready to pass out from the beating and lack of air, the Moon Goddess placed her hand on my shoulder.A burst of strength surged through me and I managed to break every bone in Amy's hand, so she would release her grip. With a shrieking scream, I fell to the ground grasping for air. I could see the shock on their faces when she said, "My hand, it's broken. She broke every bone in it. How did you get that strength?"

"Reject her now, Jasper!" Amy said in tears. With Jasper by her side, he nodded and helped her to her feet. "I, Jasper Anderson, future Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, reject you Lana Anderson as my mate." He said with a smile. "How does it feel being rejected by an alpha? Hurts, doesn't it? It would be enough to kill you!" Amy and Jasper both laughed as they watched me scream in pain.

I felt a sharp, agonizing pain in my chest as I mustered the strength to say," I, Lana Anderson, accept your rejection." As soon as I finished those words, he fell to the ground in agony. Blood was coming from his mouth as he coughed trying to get some air to breathe.

Amy screamed again, "What have you done to him?"

"Hurts more being rejected by a true Royal. I'm not going to let you die just yet. You have to watch as Lana finds her true mate and that's when you will die. Then the Blue Moon Pack will be without an Alpha," said the Moon Goddess with a chuckle as she placed a hand on his shoulder and he was able to have enough strength to get up.

With that, they both got up and ran out the door. I was left in my room alone on the floor still with the goddess's hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes.

"You will be fine, my child. Now let's get you to bed, and I'll explain a lot." she said as she helped me up off the floor. I was still holding my chest in pain. "I have given you a second chance, mate. He will be arriving tomorrow morning, and you will be bringing his luggage to his room. He is the son of your father's murderer. Don't be too rash and let me explain. "

"I will not be with a murderer. I will not accept the self-proclaimed king who murdered my parents." I claimed in shock as i cut her off.

"It is not the king. It is his son. He will be crowned king tonight. The false king is dying. You and the new king both have a second chance to have a mate. The old king had killed his first mate while she was pregnant with his child. King Damian found out about the pregnancy after he killed her but never regretted it. He killed her because both of them had defied the king. After that, the prince became a tyrant like his father. King Ryan will change when he meets you," she said with a smile. " I have also had one of my other children, from the witch tribes, who you also rule over, put a deadly curse on the tyrant king. He will die in the next few days."

She placed a hand on my chest and said, "I will remove your pain, so you can rest. Kara will be with you in the morning. " With that the pain was gone. "Shhhh, sleep now. I will protect you tonight while you sleep." she then placed her hand on my eyes, and I was out like a light.

Kara's POV

I was nervous about leaving my girl, but I had to send a message to my mate. I appeared in a foggy dream world. My mates, both human and wolf, were running and playing. It is no wonder he is alone. He only dreams of himself. I thought to myself

"Hello, mate!" I said with excitement. "I'm here to tell you that you will meet your second chance mate tomorrow. She is the slave in the Blue Moon pack. You need to rescue her. She is very special. You will both be stronger together than your father ever will be. You will learn to rule with love and compassion. Your second chance mate is stronger than any wolf that you have ever encountered. She is a true royal." I was about to head back to my human when he stopped me.

"Tell me her name so that I may know who to look for when I get to the Blue Moon Pack." Ryan said as he watched his wolf run over to his mate and start licking her ears and face.

"I can not tell you that, but I can tell you that she is a slave there and will be ordered to bring your bags to your room." I said as I turned and ran to the forest and disappeared.

When I returned to the Moon Goddess, Lana was asleep. It was after 3 am. I looked at her and said, "Thank you for training me, Lana and I needed this time to get our full powers. Will she be at full strength as well when I am with her? "The Moon Goddess placed a finger over her mouth and just nodded yes.

"Welcome back, Kara!" said the Moon Goddess. "It's time that you join Lana and keep her safe." With that she went back to her realm.

Lana's POV

BUZZ!!! BUZZ!!! BUZZ!!!

It was my alarm. The time showed 5 a.m, and I scurried out of bed with excitement. I got dressed and looked in the mirror, "Kara? Are you there?" I asked, waiting for a reply. As soon as I finished asking, "Yes, I am Lana. I will mask our scent so no one here knows about me. It's the only way we will stay safe for now. Oh, Happy Birthday!" I smiled as i went up to the kitchen to get breakfast started. I made eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles, French toast and so much more. I did it all with a smile.

When everything was ready to go to the table, I turned and saw Alpha George, Alpha Jasper, Luna Anna and Amy blocking the doorway. I looked in shock as Jasper was leaning on Amy's shoulder. He looked as if he was dying, and then I remembered that the Moon Goddess wasn't going to let him die just yet. All I could do was smile as i put down the plate I was holding. "What's going on?" I managed to say without laughing.

"What did you do to my son, you b***h?" said Luna Anna. "You're killing him!"

"I just accepted his rejection.He betrayed the mate bond and me." I said with confidence.
