Starstruck

Sean’s POV

I was sitting in one of the outdoor bars of the hotel having some spectacular cocktails with the beautiful Amelia Sinclair, to say that I was completely smitten with her would be too much of an understatement, I was enchanted with the confident way she spoke and the elegant way she carried herself, she was exactly my kind of woman.

I smiled at her over the rim of my class and said “Tell me about yourself Miss Sinclair”

She gave me a small smile that whether or not she wanted to agree to it or not, was definitely meant to be seductive and I will not be a liar and say that her seduction was not working on me.

She leaned back in her chair and crossed her long sexy legs “I think I will like to know more about you first, you are after all the one who followed me like a creep, for all I know, I am still in danger of being raped and killed” she said to me and batted her lashes.

I choked out a laugh and said “You know I have been called many things over the course of my rather eventful life here on earth but I have never been called a creep and neither have I been accused of being a rapist or murderer”

She simply shrugged her dainty shoulders and said “Well there is always a first time for everything and I will just go ahead and keep thinking you are a creep if you do not tell me”

I chuckled as I raised my hand in sign of surrender and said “Fine, I believe I must clear my good name in that case, you already my name, I am a business man from London, I dabble in a little of everything related to healthcare, I am actually a pharmacist but I am more into the profitable part of it, my family owns a chain of pharmaceutical companies all over the world and I am managing a few, I live here in London but my family live in Boston, I am 27 years old and I am most definitely not a murderer nor am I a creepy rapist”

She gave me a smile and then she said “Well that sounds acceptable”

I do not think I remember any woman ever looking so calm after hearing about my family’s fortune but she looked like she could not give a damn about it, that brought a smile to my face.

“So I gave you the information on me, now it’s your turn to do the same” I said as I placed my glass on the table between us.

“Fine, I guess that is only fair, you know my name as well but I am afraid my family background is not as impressive as yours, I am only child, my parents were both teachers until they retired last year, they live in Philadelphia while I live in California, I work as a real estate agent and I live a pretty boring life and right now, I am here in London for vacation” she said.

“Interesting but isn’t London a little too dull for a vacation?” I asked her with a smile.

She gave a shrug and said “Well let’s just say that I got tired of the sunny and bright skies of California and wanted a change of Scenery”

“Sounds nice. So what are your plans while you are here?” I asked her.

She shrugged her shoulders once again and I realized it was definitely something she did a lot.

“I am just going to hang out at the hotel while I am here and just relax for a while, get rid of all the stress of work, something like that” she said.

I made a face and said “How can you travel all the way to another country and just stay in your hotel all day?”

She laughed and I realized it was the first time she was laughing and it was truly a very enchanting laugh, I liked it, I liked it very much.

“Well what else am I supposed to do?” she said asked me as she reached for her glass and took a sip of her drink.

“I don’t know, maybe go sightseeing and shopping or something like that, isn’t that what tourists normally do?” I said with a small laugh.

She looked like she wanted to argue but then instead she laughed and said “Whatever”

I leaned forward so that I could get a good glimpse of her face and look in to her eyes, she was definitely a very beautiful woman, she held my eyes, she never looked away nor did she blush like the other ladies.

“I really like you Amelia Sinclair, I really do” I said with a smile.

She smiled and said “Do you normally say that to every woman you meet for the first time?”

I chuckled and said “I assure you I do not, it is just you, this is actually the first time I feel this way towards a woman I just met a few hours ago”

This time it was her turn to lean forward and look into my eyes “You are a very strange person Mr. Sean Williams” she said, she had a small smile playing at the corner of her lips.

Her smile was rather infectious, soon enough, I felt a smile tugging at the corners of lips as well.

“I want you to spend all your time with me while you are in London” I said to her.

Her eyes widened just a fraction before it returned to its original size “And why on earth would I do something like that Mr. Williams?” she said with a smile on her face.

I simply shrugged and said “Perhaps because it will be a whole more fun than staying inside the hotel all through your vacation”

She looked like she was considering this very deeply, I found that I was holding my breath while I waited for her answer.

Just when I thought I could not take it anymore, she said “Fine, I have got nothing to lose anyways”

A wide smile split my face, I leaned back into my chair and got a hold of my second glass and raised it in the air “Cheers to that” I said.

She mirrored my action and said “Cheers to that indeed”
