It was dark, cold, and eerie at the palace when Emily decided to walk out of the Alpha's chamber to meet Dillon and Leia in front of the palace.
She was walking in the dark. Only the lamp post outside was her only light. She hears the grunting and howling of wolves, but she ignores it like it is nothing.
When Emily reaches the front of the palace, she sees Dillon and Leia waiting patiently. They weren't shocked when she approached the two and just nodded their heads.
"Are you ready, Emily?" Dillon asks.
Emily breathes in and out. She reminded herself that it would be alright and nothing would happen because Drake gave her protection—the alpha wolf.
"I am not a Luna for nothing if I am not ready for war," Emily muttered confidently.
Dillon was just half-smiling while Leia was silent.
