Dhusskaull remained awake as he watched their scene unfold.  He watched how her brow searched for him, nuzzling into the hard planes of whatever he was today.  Wasn’t he just made of stone outside? Did he match his environment, Dhusskaull wondered as he crossed and uncrossed his ankles only to add to the very fact that he was still there.  Enki’s eyes warned him, the dark hollowed spaces that would send chills through the faint of heart did nothing for Dhusskaull. Did he not know what he had experienced? Was he not paying attention?  Dhusskaull’s small grin spread as they stared at each other.  Night fell quickly, the darkness though, never seemed to come. Not totally at least. Dhusskaull wondered if it was protected because of Raine’s presence, whatever that truly meant, he couldn’t
