Helena entered Eduardo Brandão's office, one of the partners at the law firm, with a sense of apprehension. She knew her situation was far from ideal, and being back at work after the scandal of her canceled marriage to Leandro was uncomfortable.
Eduardo was seated behind his desk, wearing a serious expression. He observed Helena for a moment before speaking. "Helena, please, have a seat."
Helena settled into one of the chairs in front of Eduardo's desk and nervously waited for him to speak.
Eduardo began, choosing his words carefully. "I can imagine your current situation is complicated, Helena. Everyone here knows about your wedding with Leandro, which didn't happen. However, we know it was your choice... So you should have come to the office today on time and dressed appropriately."
