Chapter2

Old flame Vanessa Ethan's POV My mother walked off, after she spat in the serviette. I didn't want to be part of any drama. I was too important to involve myself in petty family trifles so I simply got to my feet. "Get my coat, Charles. I'm going out." I turned to Ariana. "Seemed like you made a mess of the food after all. So don't ask me why my mother talks rudely to you." The car was waiting outside. I didn't need a driver for the night so I dismissed him, got in and sped off. New York glared at me with beautiful lights amidst the dark. I wanted to cool off some steam so I went right to my favorite bar, Luchess. I headed straight for the VIP lounge where an handyman took my coat and handed me a card. "Some scarlet woman left this for you, Mr Allen." "How do you know it's for me?" "Says it's from your first flame." My heart almost turned a somersault. Vanessa? How the hell did she know where I was? Had she been spying on me? I looked around but didn't find that face. I said nothing to the handyman but went in. The lounge was doused in red light. I took my seat on a couch, brought out my phone and dialed the number on the card. It rang and went to voicemail. I frowned. The barman arrived with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pack of cigarettes. At a corner, strippers were taking care of their admirers, the ones who paid in cash. There were moans but no one was n***d, even though a lot of zips were pulled down. It was one hell of a place to unwind. "Didn't think a married man like you would be in a place like this." I looked up at the voice and there she was. Vanessa Williams. My chick back in high school. The one who deflowered me and taught me a lot of ways to enjoy s*x. Her dress was black, tight and short. And something made me remember us on a particular night. "Vanessa. You surprised me with that card." "Hug me," she said. I did, her boobs pressed against my chest. We sat down, close enough for her to place a hand on my lap. "I've missed you," she said quietly. Her voice always enthralled me. Turned me on. Made me feel uncomfortable. "Seems like you have been watching me for sometime, Vanessa." "Oh, I have been keeping an eye on you," she said and bit her lip in a seductive manner. "Why?" I asked. "Because I can tell that you are a very lonely man, Ethan. And if your wife knew how to keep you in bed, you wouldn't be here every Wednesday and Friday night." "I just come here to unwind," I told her. "You never had to do this when you were with me, Ethan," Vanessa said. And it was the truth. She was a vixen when it came to bedroom manners. I never thought about any other woman while we were together. "The handyman who gave me your card called you a scarlet woman. Is that what you do now?" She gave me a wan smile. Put a hand on my chest and made me lean back into the couch. I hadn't realized I was on the edge of my seat. "It's just something I told him to get his attention. You know how men are." "If he said anything about rude to you, I'll have him fired." "That won't be necessary. At least, he delivered my message." "So how long have you been around?" I asked, changing the topic. "Not for long. I came for my aunt's burial and the city told me I had to stay. Plus, I kept seeing your handsome face on billboards and television. Then I knew I had to meet you." "You could have visited, you know?" "That was no way to surprise a man. I had to get you in a corner first." A corner. I liked they way she used her words. As if she was pretty sure they would have an effect on me. "Now that you have me here, what are you going to do?" She leaned forward. "I am not going to mince words with you, Ethan. Ever since you first left, I never got over you. The things we did to each other," she sighed in relish, "I just couldn't see myself doing them with another. And you still want to know why I'm here with you?" "I don't think that is possible, Vanessa." "Why not? Because you are married? You married wrong, Ethan Allen. And I am here to right that mistake." She boldly moved her hand to my crotch. I almost jerked. "Just one night with me and I promise that you are going to forget you were ever married, Ethan." "No.." I said, but I didn't feel the intensity there. "You cannot say no to me, Ethan." "Are you serious?" "For leaving me, this is the least you can do." "The family's business was on the line, Vanessa. I had a legacy to protect." "Now I'm giving you my body to protect," she said, "Do you want it here?" I stopped her from taking her dress off. Was she really going to to do that? We moved to a private room, where no one could hear us. "Touch me however you want," Vanessa said. And I did. I had never touched Ariana that way, but I made sure I touched Vanessa in places I felt like I owned. And maybe I did. She was my first love. Maybe she still belonged to me. Maybe Vanessa Williams was right and I had married wrong. The s*x was over the moon. She rode me and I came until I could last half an hour inside her before another ejaculation. We boinked for hours. I felt like a different man. After we were spent, she put her head on my chest and drew circles with her finger. "Are you satisfied?" she asked. "I am." "Good. Then it's time to take me back." "How do you mean?" "Back to your house. You're taking me home today, Ethan."
