I sighed in relief as soon as the school day was over. I had been hearing it from Heather’s friends all day and was blatantly asked by strangers about the situation.
Just then, I received a text from Rui that I had to come to Evan’s office for the initial meeting of their collaboration with Mr. Miyagi. Although I was tired, I couldn’t help but smile.
Mr. Miyagi had always been my idol, and to be able to work with him when I hadn’t even graduated felt like a dream.
I went to the restrooms to fix my makeup but stopped when I saw Heather inside. She was putting on some makeup, too, appearing like she hadn’t cried the entire day. She turned her attention to me, a small smirk on her lips.
