"Isn't it weird?" I asked.
"Oh, it's weird, alright," Sarah said, shaking her head as she scrolled through her computer. "That old man is obsessed with you, I swear. Why would he want Andy if he doesn't like you in the first place?"
I clicked my tongue and shook my head. "I'm not talking about that," I said. "But that is weird, too. Even the black vans are following me in school. Ellie said that there are some strange men peeking through their gates, too."
"Hella weird," Sarah said, shaking her head. "But what weird thing are you talking about?"
"The party later," I said, sitting on the couch. "Why would Mr. Matthews invite me there?"
"Maybe he has the hots for you," she casually said, but it made me cringe.
"Don't say that. He's married!" I exclaimed.
Sarah shrugged.
