aghu was sitting alone in his room. He was still unable to get past the incident with the transgender and the way he’d beaten up his colleague. He craved for alcohol! Yesterday, he even went for church so that he could have some peace of mind. But the Pastor was talking too much about good deeds and god. He found it to be more annoying than being at home.

The Pastor said "HE will come to the people who believed in HIM". It was all too overwhelming for him. But he went just for the sake of his friend Alex.

The Pearl City Church was well decorated. Their congregation had the energy of a concert. At the entrance he was welcomed by an usher who guided him to another usher who was in the aisle. It did not end there. Another usher in the corner guided him towards a row of empty seats. After being relentlessly passed around like a football Raghu finally found a comfortable place to sit along with Alex.

The Pastor was a foreigner with blonde hair and white beard. He was giving his sermon on something which he didn’t bother paying attention to.

"Enough!" gasped Raghu and suddenly got up from his chair. Alex gestured him to sit.

Later there was a testimony. Raghu lost his patience. A long haired teenage girl appeared on the screen and said "God had given me this life. I have thrived because of him. I didn't know how to study but when I asked God for help, he came in my dreams and said that I could do it. Next day I took the exam and I passed. God passed me. It's all because of him. I am Hannah and this is my testimony"

Raghu asked Alex what her testimony was about. Alex told that she had passed in 10th class exams. Raghu groaned.

"So what’s the big deal? "

Alex was perplexed. Everyone around them were glaring at them. He pleaded him "Raghu, please go out! They seem really angry.” Raghu found a place to sit outside. He would never go to Church again. He switched on the mobile data on his phone. A series of messages popped up on the screen. Surya had sent a long message against Raghu in another w******p group that had all the residents of the hospital. He explained everything that had happened in NIMS and how the nurses wanted to complain to police against Raghu. He also wrote about how the HOD of Vascular Surgery was quite furious after the incident. Raghu was terrified. He had asked one of his friends to pacify him. But it seemed like Surya was not in any mood to compromise.

Soon, he got a call from the friend, "Surya has the CCTV footage of the incident. I tried to convince him. But it was a futile attempt. He was in a bad mood. Someone he knew met with a road accident soon after the altercation. Just apologise to him. Don't prolong this any further. Resolve this at once. "

Next moment he called Surya directly.

"Surya, let’s end this matter."

"Okay Raghu! Just say the magic words"

"Okay! I am sorry, Surya."

"Fine."

"Fine? It's over?”

"I know about the incident with the transgender. I don’t want to make it worse for you," said Surya and hung up the call.

Raghu was flabbergasted. How did he get to know?

A f*******: notification popped up. She’d uploaded his pictures from that night. The caption said ‘This is what happens if you mess with me.”
