I'm not sure how long I had lain there before the current swirled around me, lifting my body off the bottom, through its layers, toward the surface, and the most beautiful full moon beams reflecting off the water I'd ever seen. Just before I get a good look at them, that's it; I wake up in my bed, bone dry, roll over, and look at the clock; it is three a.m.
Nick gets in a 'Where ar......?' before I shut him out. Doesn't that b***h ever sleep?!
With a groan, I haul myself out of bed and to the toilet to pee. After sitting down, my hands are on autopilot, and they go to my stomach. I'm carrying the Wolfman's baby, and it doesn't matter what he turned out to be; this baby was conceived in love. "It's gonna be ok, Moonbeam."
