Betrayal

Muna's POV I walked for days. It was hard being blind and trying not to run into wild animals or rogues. I had to take shelter under a rock. Rita helped me with directions, or else I truly wouldn't have been able to come this far, and now I'm but a few steps from the "Red Sky," from my Killian. My hands moved to my belly. Our little boy was growing, and he was healthy. Killian would certainly be excited. I know he will. By evening, from the smell of the environment, I knew I was now on the Red Sky territory. From time, it had been said their territory smelled of dry blood and the distinct screams of rogues and spies who dared enter their territory, and here was I, standing on such land. "You there, state your business." A deep voice spoke from behind me. I'm here to see Alpha Killian. "And who are you to demand to see the Alpha?" His mate. He laughed out. "Lady, you are crazy. Our Alpha already has a mate and Luna." No, he's not. Look, sir, I humbly request you allow me to go to him, or better still, you go tell him that his mate, Muna, is waiting for him. "Listen, lady, you are blind, so I will assume you are also not well in the head, and in that spirit I will allow this transgression to go. So leave before I change my mind." I'm not moving from here, not until I see Killian. He... "Very well." That was all he said before he yanked me by the arm, forcing me deeper into their territory. I kept trying to make the man understand that I wasn't lying and I was indeed Killian's mate. But nothing. He kept pulling me towards a direction where the smell of blood and the screams got louder. Was he taking me to their dungeon? Realizing that, I pleaded even more, agreeing to leave if he would just let me go. Listen, sir, I'm blind and pregnant. You can't possibly be trying to throw me in your dungeon. Okay, I admit I may have made some mistakes, so please let me go. "That time had passed. Now you will remain in the prison until otherwise." I kept pleading as my voice broke. This wasn't the plan. I wasn't supposed to be put in prison like some criminal. Oh, my Killian, where are you? And just at the nick of time, I heard a voice. "Hey, what exactly is going on there?" It wasn't Killian, but I sure was grateful for whoever it was. "Sir, she appeared on our territory claiming to be the mate of the Alpha." The strange man laughed. "Killian's mate, is that so? But Killian is married and has a Luna." I could hear his footsteps coming closer and closer before his scent reached me. He smelled of scented candles, musk, forest, and an aura of power. "Beta Caleb, what should we do? Do I proceed or not?" "No, you can go. I will handle things from here." "Yes, Beta." That explained the aura of power. He was the Beta. Maybe he could take me to Killian. "So, you claim to be Killian's mate. You do know he is married, right?" Sir, I don't believe that. Killian and I are expecting our child, and I intend to see him. He has no idea we are expecting a child. "A child, you say? So if I take you to Killian, he will recognize you." Yes, sir, he will. "Follow me then." I tried keeping up. He moved quite fast. Sir, please slow down. I can't keep up with your strides. I'm blind, so it's a bit difficult for me. "Alright, stay close." After a few minutes of walking, we finally stopped. I knew where we were. The air here smelled like Killian. "We are here, young lady. If this is some ruse to get close to him and hurt him, you will be killed right where you stand." Understood. We got in, and I could hear his voice from a distance. My wolf moved excitedly inside my mind. Finally, I got to Killian. "Killian! You have a guest." The Beta said, his voice holding a sense of mockery. "Who is it, Caleb? Have them wait. I'm busy." "It's your mate. You probably will want to see her yourself." Certainly mockery. He thought me a liar. "What are you talking about? My mate?" "Killian," I said softly. He moved so fast, engulfing me in a deep, tight hug. "Muna, what in the Goddess' name are you doing so far from home, my dear?" I came to see you. You left the next morning with no explanation, and I need to tell you something. "First things first, let me get you a bath, and then we can talk over dinner. How does that sound, my dear?" Yes, that sounds great. I hugged him again. I have missed you so much, Killian. I took a nice bath and was dressed in a warm, nice dress. I could feel the fabric. It seemed lovely. "You look so beautiful, my love." Killian's voice spoke from behind me. "Are you ready for dinner?" Whenever you are ready, Alpha. He laughed, saying how much he liked me calling him Alpha. I was so happy, just like before. Hand in hand, we went down for dinner, laughing and eating. "And yes, my dear, what was so important that you couldn't wait for me to come back to you?" Well, first I need you to clear up something for me. "Anything, my dear. What do you want to know?" I heard you already have a mate. How true is this? "Very true, actually." Before he could answer, a woman spoke. "You must be the woman claiming to be my husband's mate and the mother of his unborn child." "What child?" Killian asked. Killian, who is she? "I'm his mate. Wife and Luna. I think the question here is, who are you?"
