Jason and a few friends from his club bumped into Clara, who was rushing along, as they returned from their run.
Clara hadn't expected to see him here. She greeted him politely, but as she was in a hurry and didn't have time for a long conversation, she excused herself and went around him.
Seeing that she was returning from outside, Jason couldn't help but think of Jack. His eyes dimmed slightly. He told his friends to go ahead, saying that he had something to take care of and wouldn't be joining them.
His friends all exchanged knowing glances, sensing his interest in the girl just now. They teased him, "Go on, then. Don't let her get away!"
