Chapter 8 Pretenses -Izzy- God, I needed to get a breather so I am here in the bathroom. I pressed a light powder on my cheeks using my puffs, as I tried to freshen up. I am good at masking my emotions, but I am not good at lying. Jace cannot know the truth. It will destroy our friendship. It will just f*ck up everything—with my friends and with my work.
