"That’s so unfair!" Jara complained when she found out that being a representative means that they are exempted from classes because they have practice
"Be thankful because Uprig won’t have to suspend you for missing her class" Freya said Amery
The four of them laughed her and left. They didn’t even say goodbye to me!
Amery decided to leave the dorm and look for the rude guy but when she opened the door, Amias was already there standing in front
“What?” She asked him, the wide smile on his face disappeared when she greeted him in a rugged attitude
"Practice starts now" He said and dragged her all the way to the Z-hall
When they entered the room, Amery was amazed on how big it is and it’s also empty only the huge staircases that serves as seats are seen
"Wow" Amery said to herself
She also saw the guy that she splashed water with and her partner, She also saw Serene and her partner Shango. When serene saw them she immediately went up to them
“She’s already starting” Amias whispered to Amery making her pinch his side
“Amery!” Serene shouted making everyone look at them
“It’s a good thing that we became representatives” Serene said
“No, no it’s not a good thing” Amias said to her
“Am I talking to you?” Serene asked him
“Yes, I’m a representative too”
Amery sat down and let Amias and Serene squabble, When she turned to her right she saw Takeo sitting there with his partner. Cynthia glared at Amery making Amery glared back at her, She raised her palm and fire appeared from there. Amery raised her palm and water appeared making Cynthia close her palm and look away, Amery smirked thinking that she won their battle
Her eyes roamed around trying to find Amias, She saw him in the same position as before still talking and squabbling with Serene, Amery raised her hand and threw a waterball at Amias, she then laughed because of her own actions
Amias and Serene had a shock face making them face Amery
“Keep laughing!” Amias yelled and fixed himself
“I see that you are all here” They all looked at the person who just arrived at the door
“Good morning headmaster” Cynthia greeted
"Good morning Ms. Cynthia" Headmaster Leander greeted back at her
"I see that you two already got along" Headmaster Leander said referring to Amias and Serene
"I see, you see, we all see" He mocked his grandfather, His grandfather gave him a death stare but he doesn’t seem to be affected by it
"Now, for your first task. The Presidents of each E-class will teach you the basics of ball dancing" He announced
"Just wait for them” The headmaster said and left the room
"Great! I get to see her!" I sighed
"President of the Water Class? Your sister?" Serene asked and I nodded as a response
"You know, I don't like her. No offense"
"Non taken"
"She's flirting with the boy presidents" Serene whispered to Amery
"She flirts with everyone"
"Who are you guys talking about?” Amias asked
“Serene, your partner is giving us deadly stares” Amias said and pointed at Shango
“Let him be, he’s so useless”
"Hello reps!" Our conversation stopped when the four presidents entered the hall
"So as you all know, this hoedown is for all the students but get this, students of Crystallite Academy aren't the only ones who'll attend the hoedown, Our dearest president and the Upper DZA's will also be there, so we expect you to do your best as this is a once in a horoscopic event for you all" Ariadné said
"Now the ball basics, Each task there will be a twist" The president of the fire class said "Your E-class buddies won't be your pair for the opening dance" Their jaws dropped because of what he said
"We will give you freedom to choose" The president of the earth class said
When Amias heard that he immediately went besides Serene and asked her to be his partner
Amery stood there waiting for someone to ask her but no one approached her. She didn't bother to look behind because it’s almost impossible that she has no pair
"Amery" Ariadnè called her
"You and Takeo" When her sister said that, Amery faced back and saw Takeo with his usual bored and intimidating yet handsome face
She stood beside him, making sure that they have at least two meter space between each other, Amery looked at Amias and Serene who were laughing while talking to each other, She rolled her eyes at them because of the betrayal she felt
"Get to know your partners but don't get attached" The president of the air class said while laughing nervously
"Now I want you to face your partners" The president of the water class said, The other representatives followed what she instructed but amery froze on the spot, She saw from her peripheral view that Takeo was already facing her so she had no choice but to face him as well
"Now boys, put your right hand on your partners waist and the left on her shoulder and girls both hands on your partners neck" Amery’s eyes widened because of what she instructed.
Takeo went closer to her and placed his hands on her waist and pulled her closer to him
"Your hands" His deep and husky voice sent shivers through her whole system.
She placed both of her hands on his neck and he placed his left hand on her shoulder
Their eyes met when she looked at him, he was about three or four times taller than her so she had to look up
"Yes! Follow Amery and Takeo’s lead their eyes are sparkling" Amery and Takeo both looked away from each other when the president of the fire class teasingly said that
After that the president of the water class and the president of the fire class taught them the moves while the earth class is reading them the basics and the air class is counting their steps.
"One. Two. Three and One. Two"
Amery couldn't help but look away from her partner aside from the fact that they we are not really that close she was avoiding awkwardness and preventing herself from embarrassment.
They were dancing for about an hour until they decided to take a break
"You two should let go of each other already" Serene said to Amery and Takeo
"Hey! It’s break time already" Amias added
Amery was the first one to remove her hands from his neck and broke free from Takeo
"Takeo, I need help" Cynthia suddenly butted in their conversation holding a textbook, Takeo went to her and sat beside her
"Amias, there you are, I’ve been looking for you everywhere"
"Why?” Amias said with an uninterested tone
"I was hoping that you and I could pair up on our upcoming task in Science" She said with an annoying smile on her face
Serene mocked the girl and Amery secretly laughed at her antics
“Is there something funny?” She asked the girls behind Amias
"Wha-" Amery was ready to fight her but Amias stopped her
"Phoebe, I already have a pair" Amias said
"What? How? Who?" She asked with a shocked face and tone
Amias grabbed Amery and placed his arms on her shoulder
"Amery" Amias said "Right Amy?" Amias asked her while giving her a ‘just agree with me’ face
Phoebe's face became unexplainable but Amery knew that she was hella mad at her so she took the opportunity to make her even more mad
Amery placed her hand on Amias' chest and leaned closer to him, Amias was shocked because of what Amery did but she just smiled at him, Amery then faced Phoebe who had the exact expression as Amery would imagined
"Right babe" Amery said and winked at him
"You know if you have no business here you're free to leave" Amery said to Phoebe who was about to kill her any moment with her dim expressions
"As far as I know, this is room is only open to freshmen representatives and not unwanted flirts" Serene said to her
"How dare you speak to me! you're breaking the rules, you could get punished you low class" She angrily said to Serene
"Low class huh?" Serene asked and closed her eyes
"Stop! Stop It!" Phoebe yelled while she was standing like a drunk person
"Enough!" Amias said and Serene opened her eyes, Phoebe on the other hand dropped on the floor
"You wouldn't wanna report her phoebe, you don't wanna get punished too. You may now leave" Amias calmly said, Phoebe stood up and ran away from Serene
The moment she exited the room, Amery pushed Amias away from her and looked at Serene
"What'd you do?" She asked her
"She looked like she needs air" Serene said and smiled
"Who was she?" Serene asked Amias
"Phoebe, she into me but I'm not into her don't worry" He said to Serene
"I didn't ask" Serene said and sat down on the stairs
"Let's go babe" Amery glared at Amias as he was about to put his arm on her shoulder
"Don't you dare talk about it!" Amery said and left him and sat besides Serene
"What's that?" Amery curiously asked her, She was holding a small things that has a strap, Serene touch it and it changed
"It’s some kind of intresting yet complicated watch, you see it tells time but also does other things" Serene explained and she opened something and they saw numbers
"Wow!" Amery said in amazement
"Hey!" They looked at Amias "You're one powerful mythic, Aren't you!" He said while pointing at Serene "You know, only a powerful air class mythic can let air flow in just one persons head, for sure Uprig nor Alena didn't teach you that, where'd you learn that?"
"You can learn anything by reading books and practicing spells" Serene said "Now I know you don't read"
"I see, I copy. that's what I do" Amias said and sat besides Serene
"How about you Amery?" Amias asked her in a joking manner
"What's the deal between you two?" She asked
Here we go again!
"We are just friends for zodiacs sake!" Amery bursted out in frustration
"Really?" Serene asked again
“What the- Of course we are just friends, I don’t even like that dude” Amery said and pointed at Amias “And one more thing, that guy like- mmhhm hmmm mhh” Amery didn’t finish what she was suppose to say because Amias covered her mouth
“You know what Amy if you try shutting up, I would stop bothering you” Amias said to Amery making her laugh
“I’m leaving you both, I feel out of place here” Serene said
"Ok! Go back to your partners now!"
