CHAPTER 5
"So? you and Headmaster Leander's grandson?" Amery was speechless of what her sister said, She dragged her all the way to some hidden chamber to ask me that, what's this girl's deal?
Amery toughly faced her
"That's none of your business" Amery said, It maybe harsh but It's fine
"Mom told me to me keep an eye on-"
"Mom's not here" Amery shouted "You don't have to do that to prove nor act that you're a perfect sister because in the eyes of everyone you already are, but not in front of me, you don't have to act all miss perfect in front of me cause I can see the real you Ariadnè, I don't want to be like you" Amery harshly said to her and left
She looked around and saw nothing but walls, where am I? She screamed when she saw a hand it suddenly grabbed her robe and pulled her, She fell of her feet but thankfully she was catched by someone
"You okay?" A familiar voice asked, she stood up and faced him
"Thanks, where was I?" She asked as she looked around and saw nothing but the hallway
"You were in the room of illusions, you were lucky it didn't turn on" Amias said and placed his hand on the wall
"Room of illusions?" Amery asked and he nodded "How'd you know I was there?"
"Found this" He said and raised her notebook, she then grabbed it from him
So this is where her notebook went
"Also I saw the Water Class President come out" He said and she looked away, Right her perfect sister!
Amery hates to admit it but she somehow envious of her sister, not just for being perfect but also for being loved by everyone especially their parents, she know she's her sister but she couldn't help it.
She looked at Amias he had a concerned yet confused look, she didn't mind him and walked away. She can hear him scream her name but she chose to ignore him, Amery can't stop herself from shedding tears as she was walking away from him
Amias grabbed Amery making her face him, The look of confusion was seen through his face when he saw her crying
"Are you okay?" Amias asked after that he shook his head and hit his forehead with his hands "Of course you’re not, that was a stupid question" He said to his self
"What happened?" Amery cried even more when Amias asked him
"I..i just want some air" she whispered
He took her right hand "I'm not an Air class but I know a place" He said and dragged her away from the left wing, they passed by three hallways and two staircase until he stopped and opened a door
They entered the room, She can easily tell where they were, They were at the very top of the school from here they can see the whole view as it was an open space
Amias let go of her hand and went to the balcony
"Fresh air" He said, Amery gave him a small smile and went to him
"I’m ready to listen" He said and gave me her a wide smile
"Do you have siblings?" Amery asked him and he shook his head still having that wide smile on his face
"It’s my sister, I just hate her, everything she does she's loved by everyone. She's too perfect. I hate everything about her" Amery complained to him
"Wait. Wait." He looked at her from head to toe "Are you somehow jealous?" Amias asked, She looked away not wanting to answer his question "Are you sure you’re a pisces? Because for all I know, Jealousy is our trait" Amias said and acted like he was thinking
"That's the problem, my sister is the perfect example of a pisces and look at me, I’m getting jealous like a Scorpio, I’m telling people bad things about my sister like an Aries, I'm not acting like a sensitive and selfless Pisces and I hate myself for being like that but I always tell myself that every trait is for everyone but it feels wrong, I know its right but it just feels so wrong" tears began to shed when Amery began to tell Amias how she really feels
He hugged her and caressed her head
"I know how you feel, not meeting everyone's expectations just because of your background, Not everyone is perfect Amery. But there is just one thing that we can do and that is to show them that were better than them" He whispered in her ear at this point she felt so safe, She felt so relaxed, She felt that she has someone to lean on
She broke free from his hug and faced him, he wiped her tears with his thumb and gave me a wide smile
"I didn't know you were this comforting" Amery laughed as she was wiping her tears
"Well.. Im very determined to make you stop crying" He said
"No wonder many people like you" Amery said
"People like me because I'm attractive and handsome" Amias boastfully said "Do you have a crush on me?" Her eyes widened when he asked her
Amery looked at him from head to toe, giving him a disgusted look
"Nice try, the girls will kill me if I like you" Amery said and rolled her eyes at him
"How about you? do you have a crush on me?" She playfully asked back
"I like you as a..f-friend....a...sister" Amias said stuttering "Besides I like your friend" She gave him a confused look
"Who? Jara?" Amery asked and he shook his head
"Cybele? Freya?" She asked again but he shook his head again
"Acantha?" This time Amery was so sure that he would nod but he laughed
"Rein would kill me if I had a crush on Acantha" He said, If none of them then who?
They both looked at the door when it cracked open and a familiar face happened to showed up in front of them
"Hex! Can she sense everyone who is talking about her?" Amias whispered but Amery didn’t hear what she said
Amery looked at her again, when she saw them she looked shocked but bravely went up to them
"Hey! Hey! What are you doing?" Amias panicked when she was walking towards the "Go away, It’s against everything we’ve been believing of"
"Stop it Amias" Amery shushed him
"Hi, nice to personally talk to you" She said to Amery, ignoring what Amias said to her
"Serene" Amery said and she smiled
"You know this is against the rules? I can tolerate your secret letters but this. No!" He said to them, Serene gave Amery a confused look as if she's asking how did Amias know about their secret conversations
"Scorpio" Amery said and she just nodded
"Right intuitive mythics" She said
"Hey! I’m just here!" Amias said
"Why are you here? and how'd you find this place?" Amery asked her
"I saw it on the map and thought that it would be a good spot to practice my air magic" She said and smiled
"This is my spot air magic!" Amias protested
"I guess we're sharing then" Serene said and giggled
Amery looked at Amias but she couldn't explain his expression, He's happy? Angry? Amery can't even read this guy.
"I love to chitchat with you guys-"
"What chitchat are you talking about? We’re not even talking to you" Amias defensively said
"You are talking to me right now stupid" Serene said to him and he acted like he was shocked
"I better go, I have Class, CFC" She said and checked her watch
"Nice to meet you Amias, Bye Amery" She said and left
"We have classes too, let's go?" He said and Amery nodded
"You have astrology and I have defense right?" Amery asked him as they were walking
"We have Science together with the Fire class" He calmly said
Science? that means-
"We skipped classes?!" She shouted at him
"Jeez! I already know that, no need to shout it out" He said
Why is he so calm? Or he's just pretending to be calm because he knows that Amery will blame herself and freak out but truth is he's actually freaking out
"Why are you so calm? We just skipped class!"Amery yelled at him again
"Would you stop yelling, Astrology isn't a major subject" He said, still walking calmly like he owns the school "But defense is" He said and went inside the room
“Gosh! I'm so screwed. On the first day of school I didn't attend my defense class, insulted a professor and almost got a whole year detention, could this day get any worse?” Amery thought to herself
Amery quietly entered the room and sat besides Freya
"Amery!" Freya said as she noticed her, the girls curiously looked at her, waiting to explain what happened
"What happened?" Acantha asked as she noticed that Amery wasn't going to say anything
"Yeah! did your sister ask you to skip class?" Cybele asked
"Didn't you know Professor Uprig was hella mad when she knew that you didn't attend her class" Jara said
I'm screwed.
"Stop it J, you're scaring her" Freya scolded her
"I'll explain after class" Amery said and they all nodded
Amias was seated right infront of Jara and Rein infront of Acantha, Amery noticed that there was no space in the middle so the water and fire class has to sit together
Amery was scared as she was the one who is seated in the aisle. She decided not to mind her fright and talked to Freya about what they did in defense class
She was listening to Freya attentively as she was talking about defense class until she noticed someone sitting beside her. It was the attractive and handsome guy with kissable lips. Hex! Amery stop that. He’s an Aries for zodiacs sake. Amery felt that her heart skipped a beat, why did he even sit beside her, does he like her too?
"Hey! Why is your face turning red?" Freya asked loudly as she noticed her cheeks heat up
Too loud that even Amias and Rein looked at her to see what Freya meant, She immediately slapped her arm but Freya just laughed, she cupped her cheeks and looked infront
"You like him?" freya whispered to her like a devil
"Shut up!" Amery hissed
She smiled and whispered something to Acantha who also whispered something to Jara who also whispered something to Cybele, they were all looking at her when they finished whispering devilish things to each other, they looked at her and gave her a teasing smile, Freya even winked at her and pushed her
Amery’s eyes widened as she felt that she hit the guy beside me, She looked at him and expected him to get mad or even give her a death glare but nothing. He's just looking in front. This guy's hard to get!
"Do. you. have. a. death. wish?" Amery asked freya but she just laughed and rolled her eyes at her
"Just doing you a favor" Acantha whispered
It wasn't effective tho.
Ameryllis Stop!
"Hello class!" Professor Z greeted "Science class is all about plants and their uses, so don't go asking why aren't we discussing about our body or heat and the solar system" He said while laughing so their classmates also laughed with him
"Sorry about the sitting arrangement, I could get arrested but who cares" He said while looking at Amery and the Aries guy.
It’s fine professor, It’s a very good seating arrangement
"So let’s begin.." He said, Typical Amery she didn't pay attention to what he was discussing, something about a poisonus plant
Amery couldn't help but look at the guy beside her, Gosh! he looks so beautiful.
"Good afternoon headmaster!" She looked at the door where the headmaster was standing, All of them stood up and greeted him except for Amias
"Excuse me, Professor Z but can I borrow Takeo for a moment" He asked Professor Z
Who's Takeo?
"It’s no problem headmaster..uh.. takeo you may go" Prof. Z said
Amery looked around but no one was standing until her seatmate stood up and fixed his things and went outside with Headmaster Leander.
What? Headmaster, Why did you do that!
There are so many people here, why him?
Wait. Look on the bright side, I already know who he is.
Takeo. Takeo. His name screams wealth and power!
"Aww, you’re crush is now gone" Freya teasingly said, Amery kicked her feet from below making her aw in pain
