The dinner went well.
I smiled at everything he had to say.
For once, after a long time, I was smiling from within.
He would mention the stories from our childhood starting from the time when we broke our first tooth, to breaking a bone when we got older
And it felt like nothing had changed.
It felt good to talk about the good times
Because lately nothing felt good anymore.
“Shall we?”
He started the car!
And I nodded
Ready to call it a night
Maybe I'll sleep peacefully tonight.
I felt like life wasn't all bad, you know

Are you seeing anyone?”
He asked, as he pulled the car aside
And before I could answer, he got down
Leaving me clueless, as he jogged down the road
