Chapter sixteen

~~Nash’s P.O.V~~

  Class had already started when Kelly and Star walked inside, but Mrs. Love just explained what problems we were doing and then told them to sit down. I was trying to sit still, but I could smell the blood, Star’s blood and I hated the fact that she had been hurt.

  “Is she really okay? What exactly happened?” I said, mind-linking Kelly, while keeping my eyes on Star.

  “She said she was okay, but you never know what kind of memories this has brought up for her. I was checking to make sure that Star was okay because her nose was bleeding when she pushed me out of the way. Kristie was going to sucker punch me, but Star saw it and punched Kristie, knocking her on her ass.” Kelly replied and I smirked. I quickly ended the link before we got caught and looked around the classroom, but I didn't see Kristie anywhere. good , hopefully she will now know that she cant mess with Star and if she tries anything else then I’m going to step in and make sure that she gets the point. I’m not hers and I never will be, I’m Star’s.

~~Carter’s (Star’s dad) P.O.V~~

  I woke up with a pounding headache, not like my usual hangover, this was much much worse. I looked around and saw that I was in a run down, smelly, rat infested cell. What the hell happened last night? I stood up, instantly regretting it as everything started to spin around me and tried to remember back to last night. I remember being in my local bar, I remember walking out of the bar with a woman called...Iris or Ivy, yes Ivy that was her name and then….. 

  “Why the hell cant I remember anything after that? What the hell happened? Did she do something to me? No, she was just a woman, what the hell could a woman do to me?” I said out loud to myself, trying to remember, but there was nothing, it was just blank.

  “HELP!! HELP!!” I screamed out, but there was no reply. I screamed out several times, but no one ever came. I sat down on the floor with my head in my arms, wondering how the hell I ended up like this. I bet that b***h, Star had something to do with this, it would be just like that selfish stupid b***h to hurt me like this. I sat like that for a few hours, when I suddenly heard footsteps and it sounded like a woman walking. I looked up to be met with what's her name from the bar….Ivy.

  “So, you're awake and it only took a few days.” Ivy said, smirking at me. What did she mean days? How could it be days, I only met her last night.

  “What do you mean it only took a few days?” I asked and she smirked again. That smirk was really pissing me off.

  “You see my dear mate, when a werewolf bites you, you become a werewolf….” Ivy started to say, but I cut her off laughing. This b***h was delusional, did she really think that I would believe what she said about all that nonsense.

  “Werewolves, there's no such thing.” I said, laughing even harder than before. I looked at Ivy and she smirked again, before crouching down and started shifting into something else. Her bones crunched and snapped, it sounded horrific, but she was still smirking like it wasn't hurting her and the next thing I knew a wolf was standing in her place. I must have hit my head or drank more than I thought I had because now I was the one who was delusional. This couldn't be real, I must be seeing things, my jaw dropped as I watched her shift back into a human and saw that Ivy was now standing in place of the wolf. Ivy stood there in all her glory, completely naked, but instead of being attracted to her like I was before I cowered away in fear. What the hell was she?

  “WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU? HOW DID YOU DO THAT?” I shouted, but she just started to laugh like a crazy b***h.

  “We are what you would call werewolves, well, to be more specific we are rogues.” Ivy said, but she said we. does that mean there are more like her out there.

  “We? What do you mean we?” I asked and she smirked again.

  “There are more things out there than you know about, I’m just the tip of the iceberg. I heard what you did to your daughter, how you beat her and threw her out, well guess what, she's now living with werebears and yes before you ask, they are real. I need you to tell me how I can get answers out of her and in return I will let you live. How do I get her to talk?” Ivy asked me and I knew that Star was behind this somehow. I started to laugh, but this caused Ivy to growl at me, I mean she actually growled, what the f**k is up with that?

  “I couldn't give a s**t about that girl, she isnt even mine. Some woman wanted to train her to be a lady in waiting, so I sold her to the woman. I wanted her gone from my sight, it's just a shame that she didn't disappear like her brother did.” I replied and the woman just stared at me. She looked like she was deep in thought, maybe she was thinking about what to do next.

  “Well, didn't you just kill him like you did your wife?” Ivy asked, making me look up at her in shock, but I quickly covered it up. How the hell did she know about that? I covered my tracks, even dumped her car for the police to find. How could she possibly know what I did to that w***e?

  “No, I didn't kill him. I was going to, but he disappeared and all they found were torn up clothes and blood, but it saved me having to do it.” I replied and she nodded.

  “We’ll just let you stay here for a while. Oh by the way, you will probably be hearing your wolf soon, just thought I should warn you.” Ivy said, snickering.

  “WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN HEARING MY WOLF? DID YOU TURN ME INTO ONE OF THOSE f*****g THINGS?” I shouted in panic and disbelief.

  “You will see when the time comes….oh here.” Ivy replied and pushed a bowl of what looked like chicken leg and rice through the bars.

  “Eat up, you're going to need your energy.” Ivy said, smirking at me and then she left. What did she mean I was going to need my energy? Did she seriously turn me into a monster the same as her? I crawled over to the bowl and ate it, it tasted a bit weird, but I didn't care I was hungry and this would do for now. I knew I needed to eat, but da,n this would taste so much better if I had a few beers to wash it down with. When I was done I sat back against the wall, but it suddenly felt really cold and I started shivering. 

  “Do not worry, you're just going through withdrawal. This woman will need us to help her get that territory, so you must get strong.” A voice suddenly said, but when I looked around there was no one else here. What the f**k did she put in that food?

  “I’m your wolf shithead and I’m about to help you shift. If she helps it's going to be more painful, so let me take control, now.” The voice said, making me look around again. This has got to be a dream, it's got to be some really weird and f****d up dream, but I’ll play along, after all nothing can happen to me in a dream.

  “Okay, I’ll let you, go for it, whatever it is.” I replied, talking out loud. Great just great, I’m now talking to thin air. I closed my eyes, but nothing happened then suddenly I felt an immense pain all over my body and my bones felt like they were breaking all over.

  “AHHHH!!!” I screamed out in pain.

  “I TOLD YOU TO LET ME TAKE CONTROL YOU DUMBASS!!” The voice said again.

  “HOW THE f**k AM i MEANT TO DO THAT? YOU'RE NOT EVEN REAL, I’VE JUST GONE MAD!!” I screamed out as the pain got worse.

  “I AM REAL, DIPSHIT. MY NAME IS COLT, I’M YOUR WOLF AND THIS IS REALLY HAPPENED!! NOW CLOSE YOUR EYES AND CLEAR YOUR MIND, LET ME f*****g TAKE CONTROL OR IT WILL HURT EVEN MORE!!” The voice shouted at me and I must have really gone mad, but if it stopped the pain I didn't care and would believe whatever he wanted me to. I closed my eyes and tried to clear my mind as much as I possibly could with this amount of pain. I felt like I was being pushed back somewhere and then brought forward again, it felt really weird and when I opened my eyes again I looked down and saw paws. This wasn't real, it couldn't be, this was madness.

  “This is real and it is really happening to you, so get over it or I will leave you like this. Now, I need you to listen to me and stop freaking out. You are now going to shift back into your human form.” Colt said, making this even more believable, but still not acceptable.

  “You can talk to me when you're like this you know, you just have to think and I will hear you, it's called mind-linking.” Colt said, when I didn't reply to him.

  “Okay….well, can you hear me?” I thought, still hoping that all of this was a really bad nightmare or I had drunk some really bad booze and would wake up back in my bed.

  “Yes dumbass, I can hear you and no this isn't a dream or anything else for that matter, you are really here, you are really a werewolf so get over it.” Colt replied, scaring me half to death.

  “Okay, so you can hear me and this is really happening, but how?” I asked, still trying to wrap my head around all of this.

  “Nevermind that now, you need to focus on shifting back into your human form and I will explain everything else later. Now, focus on how you look as a human, picture everything about yourself, from how you walk on two legs to your hair and eye colour.” Colt said and I knew it was best not to argue. I did as I was told and closed my eyes, picturing myself and a few minutes later I opened my eyes and I was thankfully back to being a human.

  “Now, listen up, human. We are going to get stronger, but we need to work together, we need to eat and get strong and then we are going to take over. That she-wolf won't know what hit her, we will be Alpha and take over everything, we will rule.” Colt said and I slowly nodded my head, patting down my body to make sure I was the same as I was before.

  “I don't even know how I got here, but I know that I won't be here long and we will get out of here.” I replied, feeling my anger rise up.

  “Just be patient my human and we will.” Colt said and I was starting to like him. He seemed to think the same as me, maybe all of this would be a blessing in disguise, it was still as freaky as hell, but I was slowly coming round to the idea.
