With bated breath, she braced herself for the inevitable attack. The two vampires charged at her with lightning speed, their fangs bared and ready to sink into her flesh. But as she closed her eyes in anticipation, a strange sensation washed over her. It was as if the air around her had turned thick and heavy, suffocating the very life out of her attackers. She heard their guttural groans of pain and felt their writhing bodies beneath her feet. Slowly, she opened her eyes to a scene of chaos and confusion.
